### 4/5 — Great but one request

*2024-10-16, version 2.3*

The only reason i’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is there isn’t a way to save anything to a custom list.

### 5/5 — YES

*2020-11-30, version 2.3*

I LOVE THIS APP ITS SUPER HELPFUL AND AMAZING 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND

### 5/5 — Absolutely Awesome

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2020-09-26, version 2.2*

Anyone who writes could benefit from this super helpful app. I mainly use when I am writing FanFiction.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2020-09-11, version 2.2*

This App is helping me use the right words while I write my draft for a book. Thank you

### 4/5 — Wonderful App + Feedback

*2020-06-27, version 2.2*

This is such an incredible idea and it’s been single handedly saving my entire novel. Something that I would honestly love to see would be an expanded list of clothing articles as well as specialised objects and/or fields- e.g weapons, building features, fantasy creatures (in their own folder!), maybe some well-known plants and luxury/little-used items! But all in all it’s such a great app and I’m really grateful to have it!

### 5/5 — MUST GET

*2020-06-16*

I’ve had this app for ten minutes and I’ve tried it and I LOVE IT! It has accurate informational lists of everything you need to plan your story or character. It would even be helpful for people needing a simple informational app to tap into instead of having to search it on the complex internet. It has lists from names to locations, to zodiac signs, to physical appearances, and more! IT’S LITERALLY PERFECT! SERIOUSLY. THE SIMPLEST AND MOST HELPFUL INFORMATIONAL PLANNING APP IS ONLY 3$! Best money I’ve ever spent!

### 5/5 — Incredible, just wish it was free

*2020-05-02*

I looooove this app so much! It gave me just what I needed when I needed to create a character in a book I’m writing. It’s one of the best apps I’ve ever used and I would definitely recommend it. However, I don’t really think it should cost money. It’s great and all, but I told my friend about it and she said she couldn’t get it because it wasn’t free. I suggest you make it free and/or take the price down. Then, you might get more customers. Thanks for creating an app that I love!

### 3/5 — Not bad

*2020-04-29, version 2.2*

Still in my early days of using this app. Working on converting my original work from floppy disk has been made a bit easier. The layout is a bit confusing but once you get the hang of it it’s all gravy. Will update more stars after I have a full year of use.

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2020-04-17, version 2.2*

I have been looking for something like this. I can really focus on each character in my story and organize them on the go! Love, love, love this app!!!

### 4/5 — Editing Lists

*2020-04-16, version 2.2*

The lists are excellent and comprehensive, but the app is a little clunky. It shuffles, but it’s not very powerful otherwise. I want the ability to edit the lists, insert whole new lists, or reorganize them as I see fit.

### 5/5 — Extremely useful!!

*2020-03-31, version 2.2*

I love this app much! It’s very helpful. However, it would be awesome if I could make lists and categorize them by whichever story I am writing. Over all it’s a great app 💕.

### 5/5 — Amazing app but can improve

*2020-02-23, version 2.2*

The app is an enormous help! It’s better than expected. But it should use pictures for a visual representation to not be switching from this app to a browser to search for a word that you might not know.

### 5/5 — My favourite writing app

*2019-12-26, version 2.2*

This ROCKS!! I use it for short stories, dnd, everything. It's wonderful I can't say enough good things

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth it.

*2025-11-27, version 2.3*

I really wanted to like this, but in all honesty this is like $3 for small lists when you can find all of this on google. The app needs a search, better UI, tags, more extensive lists, origin definitions, etc. Not worth the money. Just open a browser and a notepad.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2022-06-24, version 2.3*

Wont let me save the words on the list, just copy’s it to “One” paper and you can’t scroll down. The first picture shown is all they gave me. The other pages weren’t there

### 1/5 — Won’t open

*2021-01-26, version 2.3*

Won’t open on either my iPan or iPhone.

### 1/5 — Most terrible app ever

*2020-05-21, version 2.2*

If u want an immediate cardiac arrest from frustration get this app now 🤬🤬

### 1/5 — The app need to be updated

*2020-04-27, version 2.2*

I wish the app contain search bar and better UI design the black border around table are annoying giving the app cheap feeling like it was made by someone who is still learning how to develop apps, pulse it would nice to be able save my favorite words since I can’t even search them

### 1/5 — Just use google

*2019-03-23, version 2.2*

Would change my review if you were able to save and make list. As it is you’re paying $3 for something you can google for free. Interesting concept but poor execution

### 1/5 — Needs to be updated for X

*2018-09-26, version 2.2*

Great app but it puts my OCD into overdrive having it letterboxed.

### 1/5 — Just a thought

*2018-05-16*

Maybe it’s my mistake for not fully looking through the description. But, i thought i could at least have the option of choosing the names and other things on the list and have it aside in a menu or something. Sort of like a blueprint for my novel, where i can see the structure of my characters and where they’re going instead of using the whole novel as a reference.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2018-03-28, version 2.2*

Never, in all of my years, never have I said anything derogatory about an app that helps someone learn. Today that changes, since I bought this app and looked through it, exceedingly curious, only to find that I could have just looked up character traits or colors online. There is no different result here than there is on the internet. I downloaded this, assuming that I could gain more ideas than I already have, but of course I was wrong. This app is not worth the time or money.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2018-03-14, version 2.2*

Only useful list was the colors list. Otherwise forget it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So helpful ♥️

*2026-01-07, version 2.3*

SOOOO many lists!! ♥️

### 5/5 — Where has this been all my life

*2025-12-07, version 2.3*

THE FUDGING BEST, recommending this to all my writer friends. MY DAYS OF SPENDING HOURS A DAY ON REDDIT POST AND RANDOM SHIFTY SITES I’VE NEVER HEARD OF ARE OVER!

### 5/5 — Essential App for Writing

*2025-03-03, version 2.3*

A writing encyclopedia

### 5/5 — Best App for Writers

*2024-02-12, version 2.3*

This app will help you as a writer forever. I haven’t found anything better and simpler than this

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2023-09-27, version 2.3*

The fact that more people don’t know about this app is a little travesty, it’s incredible. The sheer volume is amazing and it’s so helpful. If your a writer you need this app.

### 5/5 — Can’t believe I’ve been missing this

*2022-08-18*

Been searching off and on for YEARS for good writing and character creation aids, and I can say with great pleasure that this is the best money I’ve spent in that department. Worth every cent. The sheer volume of stuff here is incredible, and they even included a randomizer for each category so you can shuffle any list and use it as a sort of “prompt”.

### 5/5 — The Greatest thing on Earth!

*2022-08-15, version 2.3*

You need this!

### 5/5 — Awesome Reference

*2021-11-17, version 2.3*

I love this app! As a beginner novelist, this has come in handy more times than I can count! ******

### 5/5 — AMAZING-100000x helpful for writers!!!

*2021-01-01, version 2.3*

Hi I’m a writer! My friend and I love this app!! Thank you so much for this app, My friend and I would love it if you could make another app similar to this, but with tips, like how to set a scene, and writing examples, and what to do and how to prepare and plan if you are writing fantasy, or sci-fi. I right now am writing and planning for a huge fantasy/adventure series called Steel and Scale, I am publishing it even though I’m a minor ( under 18 )😅 it’s not finished yet though but pls don’t take the title? Anyways, this app is incredible! It has tons of ideas and words and categories that you wouldn’t even have though of! It has a note tab for you to keep your story or favourite words in ( but you need to write out the words and definitions but it lets you copy and paste ) and it has a define tool if you need to know the definition! But it almost always has the definition under the word! It’s color coded and so funk and it has the side bar so if u press on H, u get the letters that start with H in that catagory, which is super helpful if you want alliteration ( like, Peter pumpkin wanted pie Peter pumpkin wanted pickle pie with pepper pickle pepperoni pieced pieces) idk that was rlly bad, but yes! Tyyyyy so much, it’s SOO AWESOME AND HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Suggestions:

Please add a.....

app similar to this, but with tips, like how to set a scene, and writing examples, and what to do and how to prepare and plan if you are writing fantasy, or sci-fi.

Please add a.....

thing that lets you find hold down or type out a word then find a bunch of things like, words that rhyme with it, words that don’t rhyme with it, all the meanings, words to replace it, so like instead of smile, you could see a list of interesting things instead of smile like grin, beam, smirk, and instead of happy, a list of opposites like depressed, sorrowful, woeful, saddened, etc

TYYY

### 5/5 — Time Saver

*2020-12-15*

This app makes it easy to have commonly used word categories at your fingertips. I keep my on a spreadsheet and isn’t always convenient. I would make one suggestion, I really wish I could add more words and/or categories of my own. For instance, I’d like a category of ways to say “say”.
