I primarily use the Mac app. It’s okay in that regard (better than other options I’ve tried) but there’s a lot of bugs and odd design/interface implementations. The app frequently hangs or crashes. The auto-collapsing sidebar is annoying and where the settings are placed. Took me a bit to finally find that little icon since there’s no menu items. The share extension and shortcuts are totally broken. Bundles in the App Store don’t work in app lists. The grid view feels too minimal and the thumbnail is oddly sized to work with most entries. List view uses the smallest font and barely gives any extra details. A card view would be nice or a list view with sortable columns. The fullscreen entry details would be better suited to a popover modal that is more compact and doesn’t obscure the rest of the interface. I have to frequently refetch content to populate entries that grab a few relevant variables but leave out important stuff like price or available platforms. Pinning items just duplicates the entry above the list so it doesn’t help in decluttering. Several menus and popups get stuck open, don’t scroll, and/or don’t respond to clicks. Whole app is very low contrast but also doesn’t feel like it puts the content first. Trying to add items of different categories to the same list has just erased that list and all entries several times. And like, are there any keyboard shortcuts? …plus more that’s too much to list. But to top it all off, many of the features are locked behind this Listy+ subscription that feels way too expensive for how buggy and unpolished it is. The different subscription options are not documented really at all either so there’s multiple subscriptions for same terms but different pricing - what’s the feature comparison there? Dev, please implement a design that adheres more to Apple’s human interface guidelines, add custom variables/details, as well as tags & colors, the ability to edit more details when adding an entry, update docs especially in relation to subscriptions, add import from Apple Notes if possible, fix the extensions/shortcuts, and focus on baseline usability before getting ahead of yourself with new features. This has a lot of potential and I’d happily justify the subscription and update my review if the user experience wasn’t so frustrating. Future ideas could be integrating various media apps and adding an AI recommendation engine that learns from entries or perhaps social/community options for sharing and discussions. Heck, I’d even be fine with you tacking on affiliate links to content stores and the like. Just keep at it, you’ve got a real winner if you polish the functionality. ### 4/5 — Great List Manager *2026-04-24, version 1.3.2* This is an excellent app for tracking and organizing multiple lists. The interface is clean and intuitive, with robust sorting options, iCloud sync, and a full-data export feature. The datasets are also quite comprehensive. One drawback is the search results cap — only five items display at a time with no option to load more. That limitation makes certain searches (for example, finding a specific sequel) frustrating and time-consuming. Fixing this results limit would make an otherwise great app outstanding. ### 4/5 — Good but not useful without tags *2026-04-16, version 1.7.2* This app has a lot of potential, but I can’t use it until it adds tags. I want to tags movies that I’ll watch with my wife vs solo. I use tags to track who recommended something. Without those, I can’t use it. It’s great for a very limited app but isn’t quite enough for me. ### 3/5 — Frustrating UI Design for Mobile *2026-03-29, version 1.7.1* I want to love this app so bad but I literally can’t access the bottom content of items because the scroll doesn’t stay and it’s blocked off by buttons. As an example, I’m only watching the latest season of an anime and I can’t add that season because it won’t scroll down and stay at a point where I can click on it because of the buttons in the way. ### 4/5 — Seems to be great again *2026-03-20, version 1.3.8* For a while sharing from Spotify gave a blank space but it's been fixed and it's a great app again. I get a great hit when I can add another album or movie and hit the 'completed' button! Needs a personal rating and/or notes function. But the export functions are amazing, esp. for end of year tallies ### 2/5 — Stuff disappeared *2026-03-14, version 1.7.1* I was adding stuff to one of my lists then all the sudden all my lists disappeared yesterday. I got completely out of the app and back in, still missing. Checked again today, still missing. Why? *2026-02-26, version 1.6.2* Update Feb 26/2026. There is in fact a universal search. I don’t know if it is a new addition or something that I missed. Still can’t add list items to iPad. Update Feb 18/2026. Happy to report that I got a reply from the developer. They asked for a short screen recording of the issue which I supplied. A very sincere reply gives me hope for a fix. 1. Issue I can’t resolve: I have Listy+ on iPhone & iPad Pro running the same iOS (26.3) and Listy+ versions (1.6.2). The problem is that I cannot add items to a list I created on iPad Pro but I am able to on iPhone in the same list. There doesn’t appear to be any way to contact the developer to find out why. Lots to love about this app but this is an issue for me because I use the iPad considerably more than iPhone. 2. Nice app but there is no universal search? I subscribe to multiple streaming services, so I created a “to-do list” for each one. If I want to watch a certain show but don’t know what service it’s on; I have to search each list I created in order to find it. I haven’t a clue about programming, but a universal search option would be an awesome addition. Is that possible? BTW the extensive help files are quite helpful. I don’t know what other lists I might be creating but I suspect that a universal search would be helpful.. One big request - I want to be able to input items that I don’t have to search for a link for. A generic Note option would be fine so I can enter “Edgr Degas Biography” or whatever in books quickly without having to choose a specific title. I get a lot of referrals from people and want to enter stuff quickly. Also would great to be able to customize Home Screen. Really don’t need Recently Added view. Otherwise this is just what I was looking for. I want to add a restaurant manually and yet I get told to choose from restaurants in Zambia (literally 3000 miles away) ### 3/5 — Good App But Needs Some Refinements *2025-06-30, version 1.3.7* One thing missing from the app is the ability to set reminders. Other apps have a bigger pool. Besides that i love it, when the problem above changes i will definitely buy it. ### 4/5 — Add sort by ratings for EVERY CATEGORY PLEASE *2025-04-26* the apps great but I’m trying to organize my podcasts and I can’t rank them or sort them by ratings but you can for movie or apps or other categories. I end up having to use the movies category and manually add podcast to it over and over because I can’t sort by rating in the podcast category. I don’t understand why this is even a thing and why it’s not a default sorting option in every category. And now when I go into my podcast category it always says “movies” at the top and it bothers me so much but I have no other choice but to just deal with it because otherwise if I use the actual podcast category, I can’t sort them by rating anymore. And I feel like making a custom category is very limited in this and doesn’t even feel like a custom category. It feels like a bookmarks category and a to do list category. It doesn’t feel like i’m even making my own. So that needs improvement too. Other than these things, I love the app but these things need to be updated please. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2026-05-04, version 1.8.0* I’ve really wanted to love this app but nothing but problems with it! One of the most buggy apps I have ever used. Constantly having to refresh the content for the pictures on my list to show and the search button barely works! Really disappointing. ### 1/5 — Not great at anything *2026-03-22, version 1.7.1* Slow a hard to interact, it doesn’t suggest things, and to log in all your information will take such a long time. Why not add suggestions and icons that will allow easy access to add to your list? Now adding from IMDB is completely broken, completing shows doesn’t work, and even adding show natively stopped working reliably. It’s frustrating because I have a paid version and it just doesn’t work anymore. ### 1/5 — Paywalled *2025-04-13, version 1.3.7* Unfortunately I had been using this app for about a year. I originally was a user on android. My favorite feature was importing my list from google chrome. I can no longer do that without paying. I have no problem paying but I think it’s sucky that you have to pay to import the information you saved already. I’m not manually reading 300 plus anime and manga . Also $29 for lifetime is a little steep. Maybe add some custom fonts and or backgrounds to justify it. Not just some folders . Or make it less. I would pay $10 for the current features for lifetime or expect to be able to make it pink or something What about importing .listy files that we exported a few months ago? I can’t import it and I had 80 items that I would have to type back out? ### 1/5 — Full of bugs *2025-03-24, version 1.3.7* I was really hoping to like this app, but unfortunately, it’s completely unusable. It randomly changes categories, and there were a couple of games under the “games” category that were mysteriously moved to “bookmarks.” This deleted some of the fields that had been filled in for those games. You can’t add duplicate items because it deletes the original ones. If you select “video games” as a category, instead of having a “publisher” input field, it has a “director” input field, which makes no sense for video games. There are so many other issues. I would consider using this app in the future, but it needs major improvements. ### 1/5 — Lamentable version macOS *2025-03-18, version 1.3.7* 18/03/25 : Mise à jour aujourd’hui, attendue depuis plus de 5 mois.  Edit : J’ai remarqué que ce bug n’avait lieu que lorsque mon MacBook Pro est connecté à mon écran externe. Je viens de passer l’application à 2 étoiles au lieu de 5, car depuis la mise à jour Sequoia 15.1, le bouton de fermeture d’un item ne fonctionne plus, obligeant à forcer l’application à quitter à chaque consultation… Une mise à jour est à faire en urgence ! Vraiment frustrant de ne pas pouvoir profiter de ses listes sur son Mac… App inutilisable en l’état. ———————— Regrouper toutes ses listes dans une app est juste une super idée ! Avec les listes intelligentes, vous rentrez le nom d’un resto, d’un livre ou d’un film, et vous avez diappstore (macupdate ou alternativetoignées. Idées d’amélioration: pouvoir faire des listes de fichiers sur le cloud, pouvoir noter (étoiles par exemple) les items des listes, et pouvoir lister les applications hors appstore (macupdate ou alternativeto ?). ### 1/5 — Worst - Developer *2025-01-31, version 1.3.6* I enquired about the discount which was visible on apple App Store webpage. As the developer have a telegram community group I shared the screenshot and asked why the app not offering discount if it is visible on website. The developer blamed Apple and said its Apple’s fault. And blocked me on telegram group. My one wish would be that there was some social aspect it too where you could see your friends lists or ratings. I think this could become like a Letterboxd for TV shows and Books. Obviously adding social aspects to anything risks ruining the app, but even just seeing what your friends are doing on the app would be great and help you discover new shows and movies. I just get nervous because I have tried other apps in the past and spent sooo much time entering all my information to only have the app leave the App Store. I hope that doesn’t happen with this one. The minimalist design and straightforward functionality are exactly what I was looking for. One small feature request: it would be amazing to have an “in progress” state for TV shows, books, etc. Right now, items are either marked as “pending” (not started) or “watched/read” (finished). As someone with ADHD, I often binge a few episodes or chapters, then pause and come back later.
