I’m the kind of person who downloads dozens of book samples on my kindle but often don’t even finish them— and if I do buy the book, I may only get through half of it before I get pulled away to something else. Ha I’ve got quite the kindle unfinished book graveyard. This app is a really cool fix for that! In an hour I can get the main gist of a book, and I think all the visuals stick with me longer and help explain the concepts better too. They’re fun and informative, and the animation is really interesting too, always something different. I’ve been subscribing to LIT for a while on web browser, and love it, but the app is soooo much easier to watch. Thank you Lit Videobooks ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — ID issue *2023-08-12, version 1.1.3* I purchase my LIT subscription through Apple. 3 weeks later I got sign out from the app. I tried to sign in again but I can’t because Apple creates a “private relay” username for every subscription I purchase. I don’t know that relay password. I called Apple and they said they cannot help. Apple said to contact you and see if you guys can help with this issue. I paid good money for this app and now I can’t use it. I tried contacting your customer service but it’s only available through chat and they are not understanding my issue. The answer I got from your customer service was “we sent you an email to reply if you want your subscription cancel” ???? I would appreciated if anyone could offer real help with issue please. ### 1/5 — Not a great app *2023-04-30* It’s a so so app - worse when you lose your password since there seems to be no system in place for recovering it or resetting it. I understand there are new books every month, and that means the selection is growing, but currently as it stands, I feel this service is overpriced. I do hope they continue to add to their selection. Even with videos downloaded, you still have to log in when you’re offline, which defeats the purpose. Fix that and this would be a perfect 5-star app. ### 4/5 — Great concept needs iteration *2022-12-19* The concept is great, but iteration is still needed to have better working model. Example: 1. You can’t flag your progress with completed or not. That is simple one that developers missed for this app. How do you judge what you completed? You really expect Entrepreneurs to remember what books they read or watched? 2. Time of watching goes black after 5 minutes. Did you watch a video book on your mobile device? Did you test it? If so, how did you miss the book video goes black after 5 minutes of play? Perhaps it has something to do with screensaver time conflict or something native in the app. 3. Freeze up. The app freezes up if you try to move forward after you alter default speed playback time. These are few things to fix. Hope this helps not irritates you. ### 5/5 — So Very Succinct *2025-08-28, version 1.1.3* The Videobooks capture key ideas from the authors in just minutes, and the many camera angles and images are both engaging and illustrative. The additional speakers who give their real life examples also add value and depth. I’m already familiar with several of these books, and I am taking new things from watching them being presented in this format. The annual subscription provides very good value for the cost. I appreciate the iPhone app too, and the ability to download and watch offline. ### 5/5 — Creative product *2025-01-17* I have signed up a few days ago and I am already impressed with the creativity and quality of the app. I would like to see how the team handle more book in some challenging subjects like history.
