You can choose the word pool from which to choose to focus on a learning purpose. ### 5/5 — I’m amazed *2025-05-27, version 1.3.9* I usually don’t write reviews, but this app is so well-designed and it’s truly regrettable that I didn’t find this any earlier. It offers the new HSK levels as well as the old ones, it tells you how well-suited the stories you want to read are for you. They provide the pinyin as well as the translations. Simplified and traditional characters. Apart from a few things that I’d change, like the translation for a word when you click on it appearing faster, this will now be a crucial part of my chinese journey. This app deserves more users. One thing I would recommend for the user experience. Is to add an option to put a star/favorite a word that I would like to constantly repeat over and over and have a study session with those selected. **Developer response:** Thanks so much for your kind words and that's a great suggestion! I've just added a feature in the latest release where you can click a word list and then drill that list to review the words that are in it. However, I would like to be able to create my own flashcard decks. I also think the buttons being more verbose would be an improvement, I don’t know what the bottom four buttons during a study session are used for. I love the interface and it’s very easy to get going in just a few clicks. Overall great app! **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback - great news! Regarding the four buttons, if you try clicking on them it will pop up and give you an explanation and if you make a mistake you can hit the far left button (undo).
