The Literature Evangelism App (previously called the Youth Rush App) helps individuals, students, and leaders stay organized and focused on sharing hope. Whether you’re canvassing independently or serving with a team, the app brings outreach activity, sales, territories, and follow-up information together in one place. PERSONAL CANVASSING MODE • Organize your individual literature ministry in a dedicated personal workspace. • Record book sales, donations, visits, and follow-up interests. • Manage your book catalog, pricing, and inventory. • Track canvassing time and keep notes on the areas and streets you’ve worked. • Review your progress for today, the past seven days, or all time. FOR STUDENTS • Record book sales, donations, and visits as you canvass. • Collect interests in Bible studies and community services with English and Spanish survey questions. • Save contact details, language preferences, preferred Bible study times, and notes for meaningful follow-up. • Track your daily outreach progress and statistics. • Share your location with leadership and send assistance alerts when you need support. FOR LEADERS • View student locations and team activity to coordinate fieldwork. • Monitor books, donations, surveys, and team progress. • Record student check-ins and coaching visits. • Review outreach interests and follow-up information. • Stay informed with team statistics and visit timers on Apple Watch. FOR PROGRAM ADMINISTRATORS • Organize teams, assign leaders, and manage user access. • Create and assign territories, review field coverage, and plan student drop locations. • Track book inventory, restocks, and stock adjustments. • Review program-wide statistics and compare team progress over selected dates. Originally developed by the Central California Conference, the Literature Evangelism App supports individual literature evangelists and literature ministry programs across the North American Division, helping people stay organized, connected, and focused on their mission. Available features depend on your mode, role, and program settings. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 2.13.9 — 2026-09-16 The Youth Rush App is now the Literature Evangelism App! This update expands support for individual canvassing while keeping the tools your program relies on. • NEW: Personal Canvassing Mode—organize your individual outreach in a dedicated personal workspace. • Manage your personal book catalog, pricing, and inventory. • Track canvassing hours and review your daily, seven-day, and all-time progress. • Record personal sales, donations, visits, and follow-up interests. • Switch between your program and personal canvassing workspaces. • Updated branding and app icons. • Improved map controls, workspace loading, and personal statistics displays. ### 2.13.7 — 2026-07-21 • Your sales and visits now reliably count toward your team — even after the app's been open all day. • Faster, more dependable sign-in and account switching. • Team leaders can now remotely refresh a teammate's app to fix a stuck device. • Additional stability and accuracy improvements. ### 2.13.6 — 2026-07-01 WHAT'S NEW NEW - Completed coverage layer: a new map toggle shows what's already been canvassed as green coverage. Individual routes up close, merged covered-area shapes when zoomed out. A new "Finished" button marks a territory or subterritory as covered. - Import yesterday's unfinished drops: in drop planning, each time block has a "From yesterday's unfinished" section to pull the previous day's incomplete drops into today's plan. One, some, or all at once. - Start a visit without an address: when Location Services are off, you can now start a visit without entering an address. Start without one, add it manually, or cancel. - iPad: tapping a map tab opens the side drawer. Bug fix for calculations. No longer filtering out dropdown from sale totals. Fixed issue that showed internal error after submitting a donation. IMPROVED - Much faster map: drops load only for the area you're viewing, territories simplify to pins when zoomed out, and switching tabs no longer reloads the whole map. Panning, zooming, and tab switching are smooth where they used to freeze. - Drops are color-coded by status (Planned, Scouted, Active, Completed) for a clearer read.
