### 1/5 — Poor Performane

*2025-02-22, version 1.8.4*

This is the most frustrating and overly expensive product I have ever purchased. The speakers never stay connected to the App and to reconnect is totally frustrating. After an $8,000 investment, my recommendation is spend the extra and go with Sonos

### 1/5 — Worst producer ever

*2024-11-16, version 1.8.4*

Speakers don’t work. App doesn’t work. Support doesn’t work because of AI. Speakers sometimes plays and sometimes are gone from wifi or airplay. If you are thinking about buying something from Lithe. Think one more time.

### 1/5 — None of my speakers are found!

*2024-10-13, version 1.8.4*

Terrible app, none of my speakers are found despite repeatedly deleting and reinstalling the app. I cannot control anything - although note that i can play through the speakers using my phone/airplay. Just no control via the app as the speakers don’t exist!

### 1/5 — Horrendous don’t waste your money

*2024-05-27, version 1.8.4*

Constant connection problems. Not sure how you’re meant to reset unplug from mains when they’re plumbed into the system. No speaker sharing on very inadequate app.

### 1/5 — Never connects

*2024-04-01, version 1.8.1*

Love the speakers but there are definite issues
Even though the app recognises the speakers they don’t connect
It’s happened since I installed them
I am constantly having to reset the speakers and often doesn’t work
There has been no firmware updates for many many months
Even though I read people have the same issue as me

### 2/5 — Lithe speaker

*2024-03-17, version 1.8.1*

Nothing but issues with connecting

### 1/5 — New User

*2024-02-10*

Pitiful system, speakers are tinny and sub woofer barely works. Worst $5k I have ever spent

### 1/5 — Very very poor

*2023-12-24, version 1.8.1*

I bought two pairs of pro ceiling speakers for my new kitchen. I’ve had nothing but issues with the speakers since I put them in. They constantly drop out, losing wi-fi connection.
I’ve spent hours upgrading speaker software, and uninstalling apps, and fiddling with connecting buttons on the speakers.
Now, on Christmas Eve they had decided not to work at all!
I will be getting rid of the speakers once I can afford to replace them. For now, they are simply blocking up four holes in my ceiling!!!

### 1/5 — Yet another update that creates grief!

*2023-07-18*

Well done Lithe, you have finally made this update 18th July 2023 work. You did listen after all, and it wasn’t just me after all!

I am sorry to say, that the new update will not connect to the speakers, however they still work with Airplay. I use the app for firmware updates, this now cannot be achieved.

I have removed the app and downloaded fresh, but alas no connection. For a system that costs a large amount of money should be flawless, this certainly is not.

The issues have been around since day one some years ago, and updates had worked, but this one not. I also have 2 iPhones which still work with the old app, I obviously will not be updating them!

Every time this bunch do an upgrade, the speakers will not connect. For god sake get someone that can actually improve the app, and make life easy for the user to update.

Now I have to reset all the speakers, and start again.

Most companies manage it, why can’t you?

WHY?

Reply to your answer.
The reason for an app update is to improve, and work better. Your answer does not help, and for the user to contact Lithe, why? This is not a new problem with your updates, and for the price of the speaker system, the updates should be flawless.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback.

The app is for setup use only for name changes and equaliser only.

The update has improved app performance and new product user interface which doesn’t impact the connection between your speakers and Wifi router.

Speakers if an update is available shall auto update when in idle state.

When using iOS the speakers are designed to work with Airplay for audio playback and grouping.

If you need any assistance please contact support@litheaudio.com and we shall be happy to assist

### 1/5 — Always have connection issues and sound disconnection

*2023-07-02, version 1.8.0*

Had these speakers built into my kitchen ceiling for roughly 3 years.

Been onto support on and off and then had to complete a manual download firmware upgrade to get them working.

They also stopped working mid large party.

Wouldn’t buy this brand again

### 1/5 — App needs updating.

*2023-03-28, version 1.7.8*

It would seem this app doesn’t work with newer models of iphone. I’m able to use the app on my old iPhone 11 but on my iPhone 13 pro speakers don’t show up? Seem like that app could do with some updating?

### 2/5 — Great speakers let down by bugs in software

*2023-03-25, version 1.7.8*

Speaker randomly not just disconnecting but completely disappears from my devices forcing me to start from scratch. Very frustrating. Now a new issue- I can’t control the sound volume from the app although it was fine before I had to set up from scratch again? Lithe need to quickly iron out the software flaws before it ruins there business

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2023-01-22, version 1.7.8*

The speakers generally work for between 15 minutes and an hour before cutting out. Then it’s back to standing on a chair, resetting them, reconnecting with the WiFi and starting all over again.
I hoped the app update a year or so ago would fix the issue, but all that happened is we lost the radio option, to be replaced by a Spotify option- which doesn’t work.
Unless I’m doing something seriously wrong, I wouldn’t recommend these speakers to anyone. £600 down the drain. I’ll stick with a portable Bluetooth speaker for £50 next time…

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2026-03-11, version 1.8.5*

Wished I hadn’t spent 1000s on 8 speakers. It’s so unstable. Very clunky. If you want a life of getting up on a step every couple of months to ‘find’ the speakers and get them in a group, well great! Bluetoothing to a smart tv which only accepts 2 pairs and not the 3 pairs intended is disappointing. The audio delay is poor and echoing across the 2 pairs. Do not get if you want an immersive sound. We have a very large room and hoped to be able to
hear the TV at both ends. What we didn’t want were amps and soundbars beneath our media wall. I imagine hardwiring them is much more stable. Our electricians have to keep coming back and renaming the speakers from a confusing set of serial numbers. I am pretty sure they won’t be recommending these speakers again. I am in my 70s and frankly I don’t need this constant activity. Don’t get me started on the app! Hugely disappointing. Oh how I wished I had read the reviews.

### 1/5 — Do not buy these speakers

*2026-01-08, version 1.8.5*

These speakers never stay connected to Wifi. I’m 65 years old and to reset these speakers to reconnect them to Wifi, I have to go up a ladder 3metres, remove the cover, press the reset button for 10 seconds, try and connect it to Airplay and then do this at least 3 times before it works. I’m sick and tired of this. I want my money back!

### 1/5 — App not fit for purpose

*2025-12-31, version 1.8.5*

The speakers are great when you eventually get them working, the app however is utter rubbish!! For the money paid for the speakers, I would expect the app to at least be functional. Please sort it out, you’re selling a premium product!!

### 1/5 — Can’t find speakers

*2025-12-16, version 1.8.5*

After the last update I’m constantly resetting speakers (every week).. and the app doesn’t even find them anymore. Please fix.

### 1/5 — App DOSE not work

*2025-11-23, version 1.8.5*

So annoyed I spent 3k and the app dose not work at all it can’t even find the speakers. What do I do now!!

### 1/5 — It doesn’t detect Bluetooth speakers

*2025-11-02, version 1.8.5*

I bought a Bluetooth speaker for the bathroom - the app does not detect it.
Shame cannot control the sound of Bluetooth speakers!
Makes it poor choice to buy more…
DEVELOPERS - make it work with Bluetooth speakers as well!
How to control the sound on iPhone otherwise?

### 1/5 — Fantastic update!! Really?

*2025-10-30, version 1.8.5*

Yet another pointless update from a developer! Why do you update an app, and make it so difficult to use the system? Every single time you do an update I have to go round and setup the speakers again. Just do an update, but allow the user to carry on using.

### 1/5 — Poor experience with app and speakers

*2025-09-06, version 1.8.4*

Poor app, poor connectivity. These speakers drop out all the time, expensive mistake

### 1/5 — App needs updating

*2025-04-12, version 1.8.4*

The app constantly toggles the alarm on when you go into a speakers settings which is very annoying. It also glitches and the volume resets to very loud 50%. I’ve factory reset the speakers and app and it still does the same. Could an update be released please?

### 1/5 — Waste of money!

*2025-03-29, version 1.8.4*

The App is shockingly poor! What a waste of money

### 5/5 — PoE Speakers are a great concept and Lithe has ticked most of the boxes.

*2026-01-22, version 1.8.5*

I do like the Pro ceiling speakers. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I have several IP44 sets installed in our bathrooms. The sound is great and the integration with apple, google and Alexa is pretty much seamless. Volume control could be better, but this may not be lithe’s fault but limitations on the formers API’s. The install and setup is easy, however, the app could be a little more polished. The speakers need a better internal web interface if the app is not available and this was a little half baked. If I could change anything, I would have made the bolt on PoE hat have a pass thru Ethernet output to the pro speaker. Otherwise for PoE speaker power and an Ethernet connection to the speaker you need two Ethernet cables which is just plain silly. I used a third party PoE splitter that provided the 24V@2.5A and the solution worked a treat with one PoE Ethernet cable. This solution was less than half the price of the lithe offering and only required one cable to the speaker for power and Ethernet. I will be buying more. A little more work on the app and a rethink of the PoE hat will make it an even better product. Well done lithe.

Edit: I understand that a new single cable PoE hat will be available in 2026. Well done Lithe. Companies that innovate due to feedback from their customers deserve to be supported. I will definitely be buying more Lithe Speakers!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-06-21, version 1.8.0*

Connected to all of my speakers super easily. All the settings were set prior so barely had to touch much (as I’m not very techy). Made my speakers simple to control from my phone

### 5/5 — please

*2022-03-31, version 1.7.8*

please czech language

### 5/5 — Great ceiling speaker and easy setup

*2021-11-20, version 1.7.7*

Use the speakers through Airplay2. The setup app does job well. Can’t fault these amazing ceiling speakers.

### 5/5 — Surprisingly good

*2018-11-06, version 1.1.7*

I was a little reluctant to move away from my beloved Sonos system, but I’m glad I did. The app itself is easy to use and never lets me down like my Sonos one did occasionally.

I haven’t noticed a huge difference in the sound quality from my Sonos, but that’s not a bad thing! The bass is beautiful though 😍

### 3/5 — Great speakers, rubbish app

*2025-09-26, version 1.8.4*

Speakers are great, sounds good but as others say, software is full of bugs, random disconnects, the app is more interested in setting an alarm than playing music, pro speakers need adds on’s!!! I do love the two speakers I have but for the money they should be perfect

### 3/5 — Speaker Settings Page

*2024-08-11, version 1.8.4*

I use the app regularly with the Wifi Pro Speakers but there is one glitch that is really annoying:

If you go on to the speaker setting page, the alarm function is always toggled on and covers half of the page!

Toggling it off doesn’t save and next time I open the speaker settings page its back on again.

Can this be fixed so it saves the state or just remove the alarm function completely or at the very least, move it elsewhere?

### 2/5 — GOOD SPEAKERS POOR SOFTWARE

*2025-03-17, version 1.8.4*

The speakers are good when they are working they sound great BUT……..I am constantly resetting each speaker and starting setup again due to them dropping out and losing WiFi. This seems to be a common issue looking at the other reviews
Really annoying when they drop for how expensive they are, I would avoid buying these in the future

### 2/5 — Poor quality app

*2024-12-10, version 1.8.4*

The app is very out of date.
Almost not needed as nothing works there.
You cannot play radio, you cannot set up any rules etc.
Far away from the great one like Sonos….
