### 5/5 — Fantastic and age appropriate

*2021-05-21, version 3.2.3*

Used this to prepare my child for their operation. They engaged well with the app and often asked to play the dressing up game on it or see the bed they would be in. The operation went very well and they referred to what they had learnt through the app during our time there.

### 5/5 — Sheffield Childrens Hospital

*2021-05-13, version 3.2.1*

From start to finish, Sheffield Children’s did everything they could to put my daughter at ease. From Pre-op to discharge, it was all child centred. The app is amazing!

*2021-04-17, version 3.2.1*

### 5/5 — Little Journey - Diana, Princess of Wales, Grimsby Hospital

*2021-04-14, version 3.2.1*

I found the app very informative and helped my little boy to relax about the rooms. He recognised them when we went into the hospital after using the app and wasn’t as worried or nervous as I thought he would be.
It was very descriptive and I was thankful we had access to the app leading up to the appointment.

### 5/5 — Great app to help kids and parents prepare for surgery

*2021-04-08, version 3.2.1*

Really helped us both to understand the process more.

### 4/5 — I like it

*2021-04-06, version 3.2.1*

It was good for me to see the different rooms and to be prepared for it tomorrow

### 5/5 — Absolutely brilliant

*2021-04-05, version 3.2.1*

This app has been amazing for my 5 yr old as it has helped him to get his around what will happen whilst he’s playing.
I wish there were adults versions / learning disability versions of this as it would be so useful, I work as a speech and language therapist and an app like this would be so useful for everyone!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2021-02-18, version 3.2.1*

Very sweet, really lovely the children get to see the rooms and certainly makes them feel a little less scared

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2021-02-11, version 3.2.1*

The little journey was very helpful for the questions I needed answering and it helped my child to understand what will happen on her operation day.

### 5/5 — Such a big help

*2020-11-26, version 3.2.1*

We used this app after it was recommended by a nurse at my sons pre op assessment. He is 6 and was very nervous about his operation. He loved using the app and knew all the different types of doctor and the equipment when we went in. He enjoyed showing off his knowledge to the medical team and was so happy and relaxed the whole time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to every parent with a little one who needs an operation. It definitely made a big and positive difference!

### 5/5 — Great during a pandemic

*2020-11-23, version 3.2.1*

I was so pleased that this app existed for my daughter who has just had her tonsils out. Due to the pandemic we were unable to do all of the pre op stuff but this app helped to prompt discussions and worries she had, she also enjoyed looking at it whilst waiting for her op and was very excited to see that she was on the very same ward etc. Definitely a must for nervous little people.

### 5/5 — Really helpful and settling

*2020-11-20, version 3.2.1*

My little girl (7) has been watching this pretty much on loop for a week before her operation and has used it all the way into the ward - even telling the nurse that they hadn’t put her labels on yet.. Went under without any fuss or tears!

### 5/5 — Stay on Psdu

*2020-10-23, version 3.2.1*

Out Experian’s on the ward was great all the tm staff were amazing. The nurses were superb with my daughter, they helped to keep her calm and reassured her whenever it was needed

### 5/5 — Fantastic information

*2020-09-29, version 3.2.1*

Absolutely brilliant for kids and adults too. This really helped my 7 year old with what to expect on the day of her surgery. Plus gave good information for us parents too. Make you feel more at ease and definitely helps with the nerves for both parent and child. Will be recommending this app to other parents. Plus there is games to play on this app whilst waiting to go in for surgery or appointment. Will use this app again if any of my children have to go through any surgery.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2021-09-16, version 3.2.4*

We have used this app on other devices before and it’s great. Now on apple the app doesn’t work, you can go through the adult section but you can not use the child art of the app which is why we got in the first place so my daughter can prepare for her operation in a few days time. Very disappointed

### 1/5 — Journey doesn’t start

*2019-04-18, version 3.1.2*

Tried from both my iPhone / iPad but doesn’t work, really disappointed

### 1/5 — Nice idea but doesn’t work

*2019-03-31, version 3.1.2*

Didn’t work on my iPhone, could only watch the demo which was hard for my 4yr old to navigate.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work for us

*2021-10-28, version 4.0.0*

Can’t get the app to work, keeps freezing and sending us a white screen. Have tried numerous times. Such a shame as my autistic son could really benefit from this before his procedure.

### 2/5 — Helpful but glitchy

*2019-10-16, version 3.2.0*

The app work well to a point but pressing the back button returns you to the top menu rather than back. Needs glitches to be ironed out and more content to be interesting and informative.

### 2/5 — Landscape on ipad

*2019-06-16, version 3.1.3*

If the iPad is in landscape mode some of the selections in the footer are not visible. Suggest you inform users to keep portrait mode.

### 3/5 — Does not render on iPad Air correctly

*2021-06-13, version 3.2.3*

Downloaded on iPad Air but the buttons and journey do not render correctly. Have downloaded on iPhone 10 and 11 ok.

### 4/5 — Helpful app

*2023-03-01*

What a great way to introduce children to the hospital experience! The relaxation games were great. I did feel like the pauses between sentences when the characters were speaking was a little long but the information they were providing was well suited to children.

### 4/5 — Great app but…

*2023-02-12, version 4.6.3*

This app is amazing to help a parent and older children to understand and put your mind at ease with what is going to happen during there visit. However, my 4 year old daughter is autistic and does not understand. It also doesn’t put my mind at ease as I know what is expected of her and it won’t happen! I think there should be articles for about what would happen with children with additional needs.

Amazing for children who have the understanding

### 4/5 — Great app as a starter point

*2021-04-07, version 3.2.1*

We found this app great for our 6 year old to ease her into what to expect before she went in for her surgery. She liked the games, however there could be a few more - perhaps a snap type game on equipment docs and nurses will use to familiarise them with them etc. She loved seeing the step by step journey, although I feel that you missed out a bit step after recovery. The cannula in her hand, we had forgotten about this and there is no mention of this on the app. This was a huge thing for her and found it very traumatic that this was in her hand and has to be taken out too.

All in all, a useful app but needs a bit of tweaking.

### 5/5 — So helpful

*2026-07-20, version 6.5.0*

My daughter has had numerous medical procedures and appointments throughout her life. Due to this, she had developed anxiety regarding appointments. She recently was scheduled for another surgery, this app was so helpful in helping her feel more prepared for what to expect. She was so nervous before finding the app, but after going through the videos and photos of the hospital, she was more prepared and actually no longer nervous!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-06-16, version 6.5.0*

This app was so helpful for me and especially my daughter before her operation, we went through the app a few days before and she had a child friendly breakdown of everything that will happen on the operation day, which made her feel very prepared when we arrived at the hospital, she was well aware of what would be happening so didn’t feel scared or anxious. Would 100% recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Very helpful before my Son’s procedure.

*2026-05-29, version 6.5.0*

When we got a date for our Son”s operation we were all pretty anxious as we didn’t know what to expect. Little Journey allowed us all to have a look around the hospital we are going to and it explained everything that is going to happen in a very clear and child friendly way. Our Son loves playing the games and we are much less worried about his op. Unsure how to share the quizzes with hospital staff though.

### 5/5 — So good!

*2026-04-26, version 6.4.1*

My daughter recently had to have surgery and the app was so good at preparing her so when we got to the hospital, she wasn’t scared, she had some understanding of what was going to happen and was not anxious at all!

### 5/5 — Little Journey Review

*2026-04-12, version 6.4.1*

Last Thursday I had to take my son into hospital for a Tonsillectomy operation, and both my son and I were a little worried and unsure about what was going to happen and how we were going to cope.

That’s when we started little journey, and it’s been absolutely fantastic for both my son and myself. We have loved playing the games together, watching the calming water, and of course taking the tour of the hospital and all the rooms he was going to be using on the day. We particularly loved how you could choose animals or people to guide you through your journey, and we chose the animals which really helped us to feel calm and took away all the worries and anxious feelings. My son was so much more relaxed and it made such a difference to him to see how easy it was to self regulate home self after he would get to scared etc.

By far the best app I’ve ever used, and we are still using it today 1 week after his op. So I’d definitely would recommend it to any parent having to go through the same thing or similar with your child, no matter the age.

Thank you so much Little Journey🩵

### 5/5 — Really helpful preparation

*2026-03-09, version 6.3.3*

My son recently had an MRI with GA and he is very anxious. It’s hard to explain things is words as he has a learning disability and autism- so having clear simple pictures and I was able to choose a setting which related to his mental age rather than just getting age related information. Amazing!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2022-11-09, version 4.5.6*

This app is amazing with supporting not only a child but there parents

### 5/5 — Really helpful

*2021-09-22, version 3.2.4*

Fantastic app for putting children’s minds at ease before an operation. Really good idea.

### 5/5 — Noah’s journey

*2021-06-27, version 3.2.4*

Was totally satisfied with my arrival to the end ward 16 were amazing and the surgeon was fabulous who made us comfortable for the whole procedure

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2021-06-15, version 3.2.3*

Wonderful app with a lovely friendly way of explaining it to children of all ages (and adults because I found it quite interesting to go through it with my daughter) she’s only three so it was very age-appropriate for her she liked playing the little dress up game and finding Molly mask and Kimmy cannula. I found the doctors voice is very relaxing and calming
