## What is Little Otter Health?

Little Otter provides personalized therapy for kids 0-14 who are struggling with big feelings and tough challenges. Little Otter’s collaborative, evidence-based therapy includes a “whole family” approach, because when a kid is having a hard time, so is the whole family. We ensure parents have the tools and coaching they need to help too, because even though our sessions are really effective, we know that the hard work happens at home.

Little Otter’s team of childhood mental healthcare experts is run by Dr. Helen Egger, our Chief Medical & Scientific Officer, a world-renowned child psychiatrist who has chaired programs at Duke University and NYU. Dr. Egger’s vision is that we normalize mental healthcare for kids, so that it’s ok for kids who are having a tough time and trying to navigate big feelings to get the professional help they need. When you work with Little Otter, you have a team of experts on your side, so you have multiple points of contact to ensure you have the mental healthcare, support and guidance you need, when you need it.

### 1/5 — Disappointed with care

*2024-02-15*

I’m concerned with the level of care that they provide. $1000 to find out that my child needed a certain type of therapy that I told them she needed right away. Then they questioned my child’s medical diagnosis and told me that based off their 15 minute interaction with her they believe that their assessment is correct, rather than years and years of medical history.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-07-26*

I can not access messages - spins and fails then when I do get in it does work thereafter. Very frustrating when I need updates to appointments.

### 2/5 — Initial consult = sales pitch

*2022-12-20*

Had our initial consultation - which we paid $90 for. This 30 minute meeting was time for Little Otter to tell us how they work, what they do, who we will interact with, how to download the app, and scheduling of future visits. At the end we were pushed to buy a "pack" of visits (without ever meeting the therapist we would work with) to save money.

I feel like we paid $90 for someone to pitch their service to us. It soured our impression of the app and the business behind it. We would much rather interact with a business that does not charge us for sales pitches.

### 5/5 — Great app for kids!

*2022-08-23*

My younger sister adores this app! It’s been a godsend for her while she’s been having trouble in school. The graphics and animal characters keep her engaged and entertained. She’s been talking about how much more comfortable she feels in school since we downloaded it. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Fantastic service!

*2022-07-14*

Exactly what I needed to help get my anxious son the support he needed. Not only were the sessions high touch and personalized, but their content is fantastic. This should be a staple app on every parent’s phone.
