### 4/5 — Love it.

My 14 month baby just loved it and learned in few weeks to identify the pictures. Excellent app.

Excellent product .

### 5/5 — truly groundbreaking

*2013-04-29, version 2.0*

This is the best read. Application out there! We use it with three f our children - ages 4, 2, and 6 months, and it can be easily adopted to each of their learning level. The oldest one loves the word games, which serve as an excellent review tool, the 2 years old one learning new words every day and started deciding words that he has never seen before (pattern phonics is awesome) and our 6 month old one just started Little Reader in English and Chinese. Absolutely recommend it!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2013-04-27, version 2.0*

My son has Down Syndrome and it has helped with his focus and concept development.

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2013-01-31, version 1.8*

So very pleased! I really hope we can eventually have access to our own curricula, as well as little musician and little math. Thanks so much for making this!

### 4/5 — Great word picture combination

*2013-01-22, version 1.8*

Sometimes hard to actually turn page by child/infant. They use more than one finger and it does not seem to pick up unless you use one finger just right on the iPad.

Love the animal sounds and voice that go with the photos. Not all that fond of the current cartoon characters.

Otherwise, great!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-01-09, version 1.8*

My daughter is one and it is great. A my baby can read type on the go!

### 4/5 — Good for very young children

*2012-12-10, version 1.8*

My son is 3 and pretty much knows all the answers already. I guess it could help him with learning words but I think he needs to start with the basic words first and unless you pay for extras on this, it doesn't give you much as far as phonics.

### 5/5 — Early learning assisted

*2012-11-28, version 1.8*

My son was delighted at 9 months to start saying 'clap' while clapping after watching his first few sessions! Gives so much joy to babies and relieves frustration in a structured way which is age appropriate.

### 4/5 — Great app but having downloading problem in iPhone 5

*2012-11-16, version 1.8*

It's great app that my daughter loves it and it's her daily routine. Just had an iPhone 5, it's hung on download and Waiting status.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Fix the problem

*2014-04-06, version 2.8.1*

This app does not load properly

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2014-01-16, version 2.8.1*

Can't download updates as app always crashes

### 1/5 — Dad

*2013-04-28, version 2.0*

My 4 month old likes it.

### 2/5 — Swthme

*2012-09-26, version 1.7*

This app worked great until I updated to ios6 and I lost the ability to auto forward the slides. I believe this app needs to be optimized for iOS 6

### 2/5 — Love it but there are glitches

*2012-07-27, version 1.3.4*

App closes when I try to open my purchased lesson. Please fix!!!!!

### 2/5 — Horrific american accents

*2012-07-26, version 1.3.4*

Shame there isn't an English version

### 2/5 — Finicky app causes frustration.

*2011-12-23*

The swipe is less sensitive than the device standard. My son gets frustrated because it doesn't advance when he expects. He knows how iPhones are supposed to work.

BrillKids is buying reviews with a 20% chance at winning their expensive software. The app is focused on getting you to spend money at BrillKids (in app purchases, full version of software, joining forums with more to-buy options). You can turn off the home screen in settings to avoid seeing it all the time.

Downloading content takes more than 5 minutes for some packages with only 12 words. My old iPhone has to be in the app and active or the downloads cancel. It took the better part of the morning to download the current free content - 22 items.

My kid loves the content. However, if it weren't for the promotion, I'd be paying for any but the most basic word sets. It wouldn't have been worth it.

I love early reading, & I know it works. However, BrillKids has slowly become nothing more than a money making machine. No matter how great the product, the greed is a turn-off.

### 3/5 — Great app, but latest update has bugs

*2015-10-02, version 3.2*

When I updated the app to the latest version some words disappeared. I can see the pictures but for some there would be no words below.

### 3/5 — My little man loves it

*2014-01-28, version 2.8.1*

Yes he loves to watch it but i've been trying to down the french trial and i got the thai trial, i tried thai trial to check and it is thais. Please fix it. Thanks

### 3/5 — No sound

*2012-11-16, version 1.8*

The sound does not work in my trial version on my ipad. There is sound in the trial I have for PC. Other than that, I think the ipad is a great platform for brill kids and the method is pretty solid for what it does. I would definitely read the manual before beginning for info on approaching teaching your little one to read.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2015-08-25, version 3.1*

Great tool to begin your baby's or toddler's early learning journey. My 4 year old can read level D books in English and Spanish, in part thanks to the few minutes a day of Little Reader we did from a young age. My 18 month old loves this program since we started with her at about a year old. We love the French version too and have Little music from these developers although not available as an app yet!

### 5/5 — Switch adaptable???

*2013-10-24, version 2.6*

Could this possibly be coded for Bluetooth switch accessibility????

### 5/5 — Great little app

### 5/5 — Little Reader

*2013-08-19, version 2.3.1*

We introduced this app to our granddaughter when she was about 9 months old on the I-Pad. It is an amazing program. She is 2 years old now and has learned so much! I recommend it highly to anyone with small children.
