It has a number of different activities, randomly presented. Some easy some CVC phonics reading that is more challenging. The first few plays you may need to teach some vocabulary but don't let that stop you! I gave it five stars as my son has repeatedly played this app out of the hundreds he has access to. He is 4. You have to exit the app, close it, then it will start at the home screen. It does a lot of basic three letter words well, but it would have been nice to have 4 letter words included as the kids get easily bored with the 3 letters. There is a button called adaptive play, but it doesn't explain what it does. There is only one rewards page and they give out the rewards stickers quickly so it runs out of space right away. You can't put in a player name and keep the statistics. All that said, it is entertaining him for now, it is educational, there are no in game ads, and it's free. This is magic! *2016-02-03* 2016 update: I really wish this learning game would get some development love. It really could be a perfect companion to Bitsboard. Right now even though the audio recording does not work anymore I still use it because it makes the learning a competitive and intensive game! Please fix the audio! Previous: I have been using little starts toddler for a few years now. I asked their support for a customizable word/spelling battle game. Now I can turn spelling and learning into fierce and energetic competition. English is a sport!
