## What is Live Altimeter?

Altitude combines a live altimeter with a customizable watermark camera. Check altitude and local information while hiking, climbing, camping or traveling, then capture the details of the moment alongside the view.
- Live altitude readings
See your current altitude together with its estimated uncertainty. Switch between meters and feet, and read key measurements at a glance on a clear instrument display.
- Air pressure, speed and direction
View local ambient pressure on devices equipped with a barometer, with support for kPa, mbar, atm and mmHg. Check your movement speed and north–south indicators referenced to magnetic north.
- Coordinates, places and solar times
View latitude and longitude in degrees, minutes and seconds or decimal degrees. Tap to switch between coordinates, place names and addresses, and today’s estimated sunrise and sunset times.
- Capture the moment with photo watermarks
Choose which details appear on your photos: altitude, place, capture time, coordinates, pressure and heading. Available readings are recorded when you take the photo and remain fixed while you edit the watermark afterward.
- Add watermarks to existing photos
Select a photo from your library and use its saved capture information, or record current device information separately. When you use current information, the watermark includes “Recorded when the watermark was added,” clearly identifying when those readings were taken.
- Make each watermark your own
Choose from three styles: Altitude, Footprint and Instrument. Place the watermark in any corner, choose individual information fields, add up to 18 characters of custom text, and adjust opacity from 50% to 100%.
- Shoot, save and share
Switch between front and rear cameras, use supported zoom and flash options, and compose with grid lines. Preview your finished photo, save it to your photo library, or send it through the system share sheet.
- Support for 15 languages
Follow your device’s language or choose one directly in the app. Customize altitude units, pressure units and coordinate formats to suit your preferences.
Altitude readings and sunrise and sunset times are estimates. Accuracy and feature availability depend on location conditions, device hardware and permissions. Pressure readings represent local ambient pressure without sea-level correction. Unavailable information is omitted from watermarks.
