## Most critical reviews (8 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Broken! (Frequency bands are not displayed)

*2017-07-08*

This is a very simple app showing a spectrograph, but the frequency bands displayed in the y-axis just show up as boxes with no labels.

**Developer response:** Hello, I have updated the app and hope you'll take another look

### 2/5 — Naja…

*2024-07-15*

### 3/5 — good, needs an options menu

*2013-06-14*

pinch-zooming is very useful for pinpointing mid frequencies, though update response is choppy and I would have liked some options to change window size. there also needs to be a switch for logarithmic frequency scaling - linear display is only useful in a handful of situations. all and all a good design that just needs a bit of user customization

### 4/5 — pretty good

*2024-10-29*

it would be nice if i could zoom in more, but still does all i need well enough.

### 4/5 — Needs just 1 thing

*2015-12-19*

Please add a save feature. Works perfect but there have been times where I have needed to compare sound levels I can't because if I close the app it erases everything.

### 5/5 — exactly what I needed

*2026-03-20*

useful for identifying frequencies. would be great if there were settings to change bandwidth and export data to CSV

### 5/5 — Very Detailed Sound Data In High Resolution

*2025-11-21*

This app is simple, but really nice. Of course the better your mic is, the better it will work. I’m using an iPhone 16 which has a really good microphone, and it can pick up sound frequencies that I can’t even hear with my ears. It’s neat to see the real time sounds being printed on the spectrogram. I suppose if I were to want additional features, it would be the ability to record, and also maybe see a history of one minute or two of past sounds. Other than that, I love it and I feel it was worth $2.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2015-07-27*

EASILY one of the best Spectrogram apps of 2015
