And picking up speech is very poor. Sorry, will keep looking. Update: I had to put my iPhone into speaker mode and turn off my hearing aid. It worked amazingly well. There is zero information about what one is actually buying under the link, “Manage Subscriptions”. Lots of different price points from $9.00 per month to a plan that is $1,600.00 per year but no breakdown of what each price point covers. It’s changed my life. The customer service is absolutely horrible. The frustration trying to deal with these people takes away from how good the app works. I simply can’t afford another monthly expense, and I hope you’ll reconsider making these features more accessible to the people who need them most. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — 3-day trial that turns into a full-year charge *2026-08-15, version 2.74* I downloaded this app just to try it out, but it wouldn’t really let me test it without signing up for a 3-day free trial that automatically converts into a full-year subscription. There wasn’t even a monthly option. Three days is an extremely short trial period, and unfortunately I forgot to cancel in time. I was then charged for an entire year. When I canceled afterward, I found out the subscription simply stays active until next year because the full annual payment had already been taken. I understand that I agreed to the trial terms, but I really dislike this setup. A 3-day trial followed by an automatic one-year charge feels very aggressive, especially when there’s no monthly option. I’m leaving this review so other people know exactly what they’re signing up for. If you decide to try it, set a reminder immediately so you don’t forget to cancel or even better DO NOT get this app. ### 1/5 — Very Difficult *2026-08-11, version 2.74* Every time the microphone button is pressed, to turn it off you have to shut the entire app down. You’d think there would be a pause button, but no such thing on an iPad. In the last few years my hearing has been more challenging especially in noisy places or “clarity” of conversations. Too often hard of hearing is assumed that only volume is needed. I am so thankful for your understanding, if the high quality of accuracy in transcribing and the speed of everything to my screen. Thank you so much! I love the color coding of different voices and the separation of text. It shows pauses in the conversation or when different speakers join in which is helpful compared to the single block of text other apps give you. ### 5/5 — Helpful *2026-07-09, version 2.64.1* I have severe hearing loss. I am 80 so I don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. (Speaker identification, translation). But I need this at family gatherings, dr appointments, neighborhood events, Mahjongg, church, book club, meetings. I basically can’t manage without it. I feel so fortunate to live long enough for these life improvement apps. I’m going for subtitling glasses when there are more on the market to choose from. BTW. I have used 3 transcribing apps and yours is perfect for me. I just jumped to 50 hours, I’ll see how that works!
