Frequently have to log back in as it logs you out at random times. Important messages from won items get lost in the myriad of promotion emails from auctioneers. Internal shopping prices through LIVEauctioneers’s is insane. Use a local ups store that will pick up, pack and ship for you. ### 1/5 — Buyer Beware *2026-03-31, version 6.8.0* The platform doesn’t seem to vet the “auction houses” very well and doesn’t follow up or hold the auctioneers accountable to any standard. I left a review for a fraudulent auction house (I very purposefully only stated facts not opinions in the review) and Live Auctioneers removed it after the auction house emailed saying “this review doesn’t do me [the auction house] or you [Live Auctioneers] any good”. There was no communication with me about the facts of the review. They prioritize money from fees over consumer protection. ### 3/5 — ATG *2026-03-19, version 6.8.0* The parent company, Auction technology group, is not my favorite. ### 1/5 — Search Sucks *2026-03-13, version 6.7.5* The search is terrible. I want to search for particular items that are near me. Like how you can on Facebook marketplace. But all you can do is search auctions near you and then you have to open each one and scroll all their items. And then when you search products the location filter is “USA”. That is ridiculous. This is basic UX. Also following an auction house is challenging. Like I’m on an auction for the auction house and can’t see a button anywhere to follow them. Bad UX. Would be so easy to improve. Fake phone numbers and sites all over. Can’t reach anyone after winning. I was charged 400+ shipping for 100$ worthy of items . Wish I read more reviews . Stick with eBay . I’m not even bothering with the abandoned items. Lost over 1 k. Not worth the time , effort or money. I hope I save one person heartache. Wish I can give zero rating . ### 1/5 — Beware *2026-02-13, version 6.7.5* Many of these companies are complete scam artists who bid up their own items and INFLATE SHIPPING all while GOUGING you on the buyer’s premium. Hide defects in pics, charge your card for shipping because of your zip code. Try calling them. It’s a dystopian AI nightmare where you literally give up is the only solution. It’s a classic “Two Man Jack” pushing off responsibility to whoever you’re not talking with. I still have unresolved charges on my card from over a month ago. JUST BEWARE!!!! ### 1/5 — App not working *2026-02-03, version 6.7.4* App has been glitched for days. Slow to sign in and then doesn’t show my saved auctions or open descriptions. Just buffers endlessly. Have updated iPhone 16 so know it’s not my phone. Even tried signing in with laptop and that’s even worse so know its not just the app. Fix the issues or Update as deleting app and reloading doesn’t help. Doing a disservice to buyers and sellers. May have to install invaluable instead. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam Exposed *2026-08-14* After winning and sending payment for an auction item at an auction which clearly stated that at the close of bidding, there was no item return or recourse for the buyer, and significant penalties for not paying, the item was pulled without any explanation. I still have no idea where my payment went and the auction house is not responding. LiveAuctioneers is completely unhelpful and is not willing to intercede or ensure an answer from the auction house. I checked the laws for the applicable auction states and what is happening is a clear violation of multiple statues. I’ve sent at least five detailed emails to LiveAuctioneers. Buyers beware that when things go bad you’re only recourse is to get a lawyer as a support level is zero. Buyers premiums and shipping was high but I knew that was the cost of using the service. That's changed. BEWARE: If they auction house doesn't offer shipping, don't bid. Live Auctions offers its own shipping but it's rates are criminal. ### 1/5 — Crashing *2026-07-14, version 6.8.3* App keeps crashing and before that, the auction house sorting was not accurate :/ ### 1/5 — Never, ever use their in-house shipping *2026-05-28, version 6.8.2* You may win an item thru their auction but you will wait an eternity to receive it if you use LiveAuctioneers’ in-house shipping. I learned the hard way. Always arrange your own shipping. ### 1/5 — “New from follow searches” been broken for MONTHS now *2026-05-27, version 6.8.2* Reported the issue in app a month or two ago, yet still no fix. The scroll-based loading gets stuck at random points and I have to kill the app and try again - maybe it’ll get further than the last session, maybe not! Rinse and repeat. Is like the worst mobile game of all time. Please, please, fix it.. ### 1/5 — App Is Only Good If It Works *2026-04-28, version 6.8.2* I came across this app and was looking forward to bidding. However, each time I register to bid I receive a message that my registration is declined because my account is suspended. I have talked to customer service several times and they can’t figure out what the problem is. Seller has been difficult to get a response from. Contacted Live Auctioneers about the situation but their involvement is nothing other than sending stock statements. No actual help to resolve the issue. I accidentally did that and it placed a bid and the bidding closed. At $25,000 on something I had no intention of buying. Took longer than they originally estimated (2 weeks) which led me to believe some of the bad reviews. But I’m very satisfied!! Communications with Akiba Galleries has been outstanding!! They called me on my personal cell explaining the complexity and cost of LiveAuctioneers Shipping. Shipping could be streamlined to improve time. Otherwise I’m very pleased!!!
