At one point several months ago; documents edited on a PC stopped opening on my phone. Talked to LD. They can reproduce it but fidnt fix it Not having access to important information is bad for my paycheck!! I made a briefcase folder inmy DropBox And mapped L drive to it and moved the contents over. I would like to see the return of how much space I am utilizing that seem to have gone away. ### 3/5 — Keeps logging me out *2015-06-04, version 3.0.0* I love the facility of listing to my music from the files uploaded although it could do with a better UI. Please restore that feature! ### 3/5 — Update is a step backwards *2015-05-14, version 3.0.0* This used to be a really simple but useful tool. Since version 3, it looks a lot nicer but doesn't seem to remember my login details like the older version did. And for some reason it keeps notifying me that my last "mobile" backup didn't complete and I must enter my login details again. I've seen the screen shots on the App Store clearly showing a mobile backup in progress. I don't have such options on my app so I can't turn it on or off yet I'm being told its failed all the time. It says my password is wrong. I tried the forgotten password button. It says user not recognised. Have not been able to access any of my files from this application. ### 1/5 — Can't get to my files *2014-08-15, version 2.5.1* I purchased Yesterday and was impressed with the speed my computer files were backed up. Then I downloaded the iPhone app (4S) and I can see the files but NONE will open. I keep getting errors. I've begun to wonder if this is a real system or a scam to steal personal information. If I had read the reviews here I probably would not have purchased. They need to get these bugs fixed!! ### 2/5 — Desperately needs a redesign *2014-07-21, version 2.5.1* Having moved from Dropbox, the mobile client is horrendous. It's clunky, unattractive, you can't easily share items with others, and does not feature an upload button. You can import files from the web or email via iOS, but then after doing this, the system does nothing. You go back and repeat the process and a pop up suddenly says you imported the file. The file isn't to be seen though. You have to sort of hope it's there and then leave the app. Look - just copy the dropbox look and it'll be fine. I have had no log-in problems, I suspect those who have do not have the "Livedrive Briefecase" on their package which the app does require, although I can't say for sure. I deducted a star as the formatting of word documents is a little off on my iPad, although as I don't really word process on it, I wont say its a big problem ### 1/5 — Do not trust *2014-07-05, version 2.5.1* Been a loyal customer for many years and now they are terminating many user accounts with no warnings...been sending them emails with no response for almost 4weeks. ### 1/5 — Awful! *2014-06-11, version 2.5.1* This app is shocking. Only let's you upload one image at a time and doesn't even let you create folders. Not to mention it looks like something that belongs on iOS 5. Stick to Dropbox! ### 1/5 — BEWARE-DATA IS NOT SAFE *2014-06-10, version 2.5.1* Have been a customer for a number of years on an old unlimited package. Received an email advising that I am in breach of their terms and conditions and they are going to terminate my account. No one will speak to me do unable to resolve and have over 10tb of data that is now at risk. I suspect that they do not want to honour the old unlimited plan with them as I have a lot of data saved. Not aware that I have uploaded anything illegally but if I have, how would Livedrive know unless they have snooped at my data. I thought my data was secure but they have non existent customer service and possibly look at your private data. Avoid if you appreciate customer service and value your privacy!! ### 3/5 — Not bad, could be better *2014-05-30, version 2.5.1* I am pleased with Livedrive for the most part, but there definately needs to be an option to select more then one photo when uploading. I mean, really. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can never open documents on App *2020-09-19, version 5.6* Always an error when opening excel or word files on the App. Phone App is useless. ### 1/5 — Meh *2020-08-04, version 5.5* This app seems to be here only to be able to list it as a feature on livedrive’s subscription. In 2020 there’s still no face or fingerprint unlock. If there are issues with some file while doing a backup there’s no log to check what was that file. There’s no background service so to backup you need to keep the app open, draining your battery. Last but not least, the music app is hidden under “more”, it stops playing if the phone is locked or the app isn’t open, and music controls are only on the playlist so if you close it you cannot control the player. ### 1/5 — Appalling Support !!!!! *2018-05-17, version 3.7* I PAY £49 A YEAR (FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS) FOR A FULL BACK UP THEN LAST DEC THEY STOPPED MY BACK UPS BECAUSE I HAVEN’T UP GRADED THE SOFTWARE. ZERO HELP SO I HAVE PAID FOR A BACKUP IM NOT GETTING VERY POOR SUPPORT!! THEN THEY HAVE THE CHEEK TO EMAIL ASKING FOR PAYMENT FOR NEXT YEAR Mmmmmmm I WOULD BE PAYING FOR NOTHING DON’T THINK SO..... ### 1/5 — Worst cloud storage ever *2017-03-20, version 3.3.0* I was with livedrive for over 3 years to find when I needed my data 20% was corrupt . My data had not uploaded properly as there desktop software misses uploading files. I wouldn't recommend this service to anybody. I now have an amazon drive account which is unlimited data and it don't ignore files while uploading. If you want your data stored correctly and intact avoid at all cost ### 1/5 — Caveat emptor *2016-09-08, version 3.1.0* I foolishly signed up on some 5-year deal, paid $447 five years ago. I didn't use the service, and never heard from livedrive again. But I did hear from my credit card, because another $447 charge popped up out of the blue. No warning, no nothing.i tried to cancel the account but was "told" that the payment for the next 5 years would not be refunded. I launched a dispute with the credit card company, but was unsuccessful. Livedrive told the credit card company that it was my responsibility to understand the terms of the trial period. Trial period?? That was finished five years ago. I'm not even sure if my account cancellation was successful, but I sure will find out before the next time they come to rob me of $447. Beware this company. ### 1/5 — Poor effort from livedrive *2016-07-29, version 3.1.0* This software is a complete wast of time. It continually crashes and simply doesn't work. Thanks a bunch. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Remove and Reinstall don't Update! *2015-06-02, version 3.0.0* Version 3.0 is a massive improvement, now with mobile backup this App really rocks. However updating from previous version to current version 3.0 must be avoided, anyone having problems should remove old version and reinstall version 3.0. Mobile backups will then work and login problems will be resolved. You need to be aware that mobile backup only works with Briefcase /Pro subscriptions. The photo and media/music streaming feature works really well and is another big improvement which makes this a very welcome new version. Highly recommended, well done Livedrive. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2015-05-19, version 3.0.0* This is the best App I have ever downloaded. Along with the brilliant LiveDrive cloud backup system this puts every piece of digital information I own in my pocket. Watch every film, TV show and view every personal picture I have ever taken and listen to every song I have ever downloaded all through this one App. Deals with every file format I have thrown at it. I cannot rate this App highly enough. Excellent system. Thanks to the developers, great job guys. Ever person I meet I show this App off and everyone has been impressed with it and most of them have gone and purchased the LiveDrive backup system. Thanks again guys, sheer brilliance. Admittedly I use it for documents and photos only, but completely snag less.
