It was a nominal fee and I was not aware of an auto renewal. In Aug 2026 I saw a VERY large charge and on the same day as the charge I emailed customer support to enquire and advise I did not request renewal and did not use the services ever since I origionally downloaded the app. The replied stating that I did not inform of cancellation within the first billing cycle?? and would not reimburse. I am very disappointed as its a large fee for something I do use, ever, and overall the basics for cost of living is already difficult and now they want to take my $65CAD and won’t consider or acknowledge I don’t use their services. Assim que identifiquei a cobrança, entrei em contato com o suporte solicitando o reembolso, mas a empresa recusou, limitando-se a informar que sua política não permite estorno após o primeiro ciclo de cobrança. O que mais me incomodou foi a experiência de cancelamento. O processo possui várias telas, perguntas e etapas antes de finalmente conseguir cancelar a assinatura. Na minha percepção, a contratação e a renovação são muito simples, enquanto o cancelamento é excessivamente burocrático. Tentei resolver diretamente com a Liven e também procurei a Wellhub, que disponibilizou o aplicativo por meio de parceria, mas não consegui uma solução. No meu caso, fica a sensação de que existem mecanismos para facilitar a contratação e dificultar o cancelamento e o reembolso. Não recomendo o aplicativo. I was being charged $40 a month for several months before I figured it out and they don’t want to reimburse me more than one month. After customer service failed to resolve the issue for me, I cancelled my subscription within the requisite period but because their app update resulted in the app not working properly/recording the date of the cancellation, they are still charging me for a renewal. What I found particularly frustrating was how difficult it was to identify and cancel the subscription. It wasn’t showing clearly in my Apple subscriptions, so I only became aware of it when I noticed the charge on my card. I contacted Liven immediately to explain that I did not want to continue using the service and requested a refund, but they refused, despite the fact that I have no intention of using the service. The cancellation and refund process feels unnecessarily difficult and, in my experience, the subscription was not made sufficiently clear. I think customers should be given a straightforward way to cancel and should not be charged for a service they clearly do not wish to continue using. Very disappointed with both the subscription process and the lack of customer support. The app controls what you do as soon as you open it, with no option to back out of whatever survey/task it decides you’re going to do. You have to get to your profile to cancel your subscription, but getting to a point where you even have the option to access your account is so frustrating. Due to this, I was charged over $200 for an app I hated. Their intention is to make money off of people by making canceling the subscription so difficult that people just give up. Customer service had the ability to refund per their discretion but it’s clear they do not care about the customer experience and just want your money even if you never use the app. They did not assist with this at all. I contacted them within an hour of the transaction and they would not issue a refund. Apparently you need to sign in to your account and actively sign up for reminder emails. How convenient for them. Also when I tried to sign in I couldn’t login and never received a password change email. Talk about making it difficult. I tried the app for a couple of days and found it was pretty basic and not helpful. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-08-30, version 1.110.0* I cancelled my subscription but they keep taking money, I’ve had to inform my bank to block there unlawful activity. ### 1/5 — Charged me 3 months I didn’t use *2026-08-30, version 1.110.0* My subscription renewal came up and not realizing I hadn’t cancelled, I reached out to them the same day they charged me and they refused to refund me the $60. Make sure you put your cancellation/renewal date in your calendar since they are absolutely unforgiving. I’ve never came across an app platform that wouldn’t refund if you reached out the same day. ### 1/5 — Misleading App, terrible customer service *2026-08-30, version 1.110.0* An app that claims to support mental health and anxiety should not prey on people’s vulnerability by making it deliberately difficult to cancel. The cancellation process is obstructive and unnecessarily complicated, involving around ten online steps seemingly designed to trip you up and keep you subscribed. Even after completing those steps, you are sent an email containing yet more instructions that must also be followed. I completed the entire process in August, yet I was still charged for September and had to go through it all again. It feels as though the cancellation system has been intentionally designed to discourage people from leaving and lock them into further payments. For a company operating in the mental-health space, taking advantage of potentially vulnerable customers in this way feels particularly unethical and completely undermines the support the app claims to provide. ### 1/5 — Terrible, money making *2026-08-30, version 1.110.0* Awful. Their terms and conditions hid an auto-renewal payment taken from my bank, when I asked for a refund (as I don’t use the app) they refused. I explained that I didn’t know about the next payment, their T and C’s buried it, they refused. £50 taken. They reversed the last charge but not the $160 and additional initial charge. Don’t provide any info as this company somehow charges away without any apparent communication. I completed my first Journey and couldn’t figure out how to keep going. I reached out to customer service and they switched me to a new Journey focusing on another aspect of self-discovery and new tools to help regulate my nervous system. I didn’t use the app for a while and when I came back to it there had been more improvements and I’m really enjoying the new depth for journaling and the feedback you receive to help you go deeper.
