Now there’s barely any places to eat/drink on the app and the deals no more good offers. Download EatClub instead honestly. ### 4/5 — Be Careful! Some shops have stopped accepting LIVEN and you will lose all you bonus dollars… *2025-04-12* EDIT: Got most of my Brandollars back as Liven Rewards so not as bad as I thought - changed rating. Used to love LIVEN until this year…all the shops I have BRANDOLLAR for suddenly have “issues with their machine” or didn’t have a machine to accept the credit. Its happening too often to be a coincidence. I contacted Customer Support and they said give them 2 weeks to sort it out. Came back 2 weeks later, machine was still not working and they said no one from LIVEN contacted them. I mentioned if thats the case I’ll have to report to Liven again and suddenly, their machine “miraculously started working”. Dont bother buying BRANDOLLARS anymore. If a shop secretly stops accepting credit, you will lose all your Bonus Dollars because LIVEN cant do much it seems. They can only refund you the remaining amount minus the bonus dollar. So essentially you got ZERO discount the whole time. I feel completely scammed. ### 1/5 — Hidden Cost *2025-01-21, version 14.1.2* We’ve been using this app to shop in Foodle for some time until we realized it’s actually charging us as cash advance. We ended up paying more extra then saving far less. Not to mention now we have to pay for extra interest! ### 4/5 — Na *2024-12-28, version 14.1.2* Easy efficient ### 1/5 — Misleading restaurant list *2024-08-25, version 13.1.3* A number of restaurants listed no longer accept liven, yet it is still listed. When I contacted them about one, informing it is no longer accepting liven, liven continues to leave it on the platform as though it still does, even after many months of being informed it doesn’t take liven. ### 3/5 — 1 problem *2024-04-12, version 11.24.3* I purchased at a store which said earn 100% and it did. I spent $8 and got $8. The only problem is that all of the venues now only have earn 5-10% when before I saw multiple with 100%. I don’t know what it is, I don’t know it you are trying to scam us but please fix this problem, or tell me how to fix it instead. ### 1/5 — Avoid at all costs *2024-01-22, version 11.12.5* Scam alert. They do not offer what they advertise. ### 1/5 — Selling useless livendollars!! *2024-01-14, version 11.12.5* Many restaurants no longer support payment by using Liven, but Liven continues to sell coupons. I spent a lot of money to buy a coupon, but when I arrived at the restaurant, I was told that I couldn't use it! ### 1/5 — Took payment but no reward *2024-01-01, version 11.12.4* I followed the instructions. The vendor at Homestead seemed confused. Payment went through but then it showed me a code after the transaction and the vendor didn't know what to do with it. I reached out to Liven customer chat but I think it must be an AI as it didn't answer my questions and asked me to submit a receipt which obviously I don't have as I paid using the liven Apple Pay integration at a kiosk contactless POS. The customer chat then sent me a long message with instructions on how to use Brand Dollars. All in all probably the worst example of customer service I've seen in years. I'm guessing Liven is trying to maximise transactions while minimising the rewwards they pay out. ### 1/5 — They’ll happily take your money *2023-10-20, version 11.11.7* Using Liven was great until the brandollars were no longer accepted at a growing list of locations that they fail to update. If you choose to purchase any brandollars, best contact the restaurant first to see how their relationship is with Liven. Liven tell me that a refund has been sent, but the bank says no such thing has happened. ### 1/5 — As long you do not buy brand dollar it is good *2023-10-12* Give you all warning not to buy their brand dollars as they keep removing their merchants but not adding new one. I have my own experience, bought with 100% bonus but then they keep removing their good merchants. By the way, I live in Sydney. This will be my last time to buy their brand dollars. Untrustworthy !!! They said if the merchants removed, they will change with other merchants with similar value. They offer me the bonus is 20% not 100% as I bought originally. BIG SCAM !!! ### 1/5 — Good idea but useless customer service *2023-09-06* The idea behind Liven is good but if you have any issues or a query, you need to message in-app and a week later you get a Filipino help centre respond to you with a cut and paste response which doesn’t actually address your issue. I’ve had liven since 2018 or 2019 and used it heaps in the past but recently the app doesn’t use my Food Dollars but instead charges my credit card in full each time. Annoying and a lot of wasted time dealing with overseas ‘help.’ Don’t bother with Liven and use EatClub or The Fork instead. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible now *2026-03-29, version 14.9.8* This app use to be peak in before 2023 with so many good deals. Listed stores like Krispy cream, med max stop accepting. And the customer service is also terrible. When raising issue, instead of acknowledging, they responded back; use linven when you can. Lol. Not going to bother as app crashes, poor user interface and terrible customer service. ### 1/5 — List not update *2026-01-25, version 14.9.4* I have 500+$ in credit but the shops i went to are not accepting. Contacted the customer service and they took 3-5 days to reply. After asking for screenshots, merchants info etc and they were still not helpful in any means. This app feels like a scam to me ### 1/5 — No signs of life with this app *2025-04-01* Many of the restaurants featured on the app no longer accept Liven (and apparently haven’t for months), but the app still lets you pre-pay for credit to use at them - which I unfortunately did and haven’t been able to get a refund for. The customer service is nonexistent, I haven’t been able to get hold of a real person in the 3 weeks since I raised a complaint. If you look at the other reviews, their social media, and the fact that their Melbourne office is no longer occupied, it’s not looking good. ### 1/5 — Does not work at Rolld *2025-03-25, version 14.4.2* Waste of money as it does not work at Rolld who promote it for brand dollars. Staff don't know about it and Liven customer service is useless - don't answer questions, just keep repeating irrelevant scripted answers. Don't waste your money. ### 1/5 — Scam! Be careful ❗️❗️❗️ *2025-02-13, version 14.2.4* Liven used to be good but be aware! They are scam in a way. When I started with Liven, it is promised that the brand dollars will never expired and will be refunded if store close or no longer accept liven. After I bought almost $3k of brand dollars, a lot of stores now closed down or no longer accept Liven payment methods. And Liven is hiding from supporting.
