### 4/5 — Needs Instructions

*2026-05-12, version 2026.12.0*

A great app overall, but hard to navigate for people who aren’t commercial farmers and who want it more for noting observations in their herds. Also, with the latest update things got moved around and there is no tutorial or instructions for how to navigate the app.

### 3/5 — Okay, but expect more support for the money

*2026-05-01*

Overall the functions of the app are good, I’m able to log my animal records and revenue/expenses in one place. My biggest complaint is there are missing help files on their website and they do not respond to messages in the app or emails, I have several issues I’m trying to troubleshoot and have not been able to get any support.

### 4/5 — Very helpful

*2026-01-07, version 2025.23.0*

Good app but can you add some Texas sale market reports?? Gatesville or Hamilton would be great!

### 3/5 — Great App, but slow to fix issues

*2025-12-16*

First off, let me say I absolutely love the app. The frustrating thing for me has been how slow they are to address or fix the issues that pop up. Are utilize this for managing our registered, goat herd, and while initially I was able to link their ADGA registrations to each animal, this feature has not worked in almost a year. I have reached out to the customer support and been told that it will be fixed with the next update and so on, but this still has not been fixed. It’s frustrating when you pay for a service, and the features that they have won’t work. Outside of that I love the way the app works, and I’m able to manage and track everything.

### 4/5 — Little problem.

*2025-04-29, version 2025.8.0*

It wouldn’t let me add new kids to my does

### 4/5 — Last update

*2025-04-24, version 2025.8.0*

The last update changed the sign in on iPhone. Now when you type in the email you the keypad covers the area your typing in

### 4/5 — Really like This app

*2024-07-01, version 2024.6.0*

Really like the features in this app since the new update last winter. Intuitive to a point, some oddball features that you really have to look for. May I suggest a polled, scurred and horned feature in the assessment section for bovines?

### 3/5 — Overpriced

*2023-12-29, version 2023.25.0*

Great app with good features, but their subscription price point is too high.

### 4/5 — Really good app but could be taken to the next level

*2023-10-16*

I really like this app. A nice way to keep track of all my animals with the different species options. I would love linking to more organizations though. Specially the common horse organizations, and the belted Galloway society. But that is me being picky! The Boer for linking to registration worked great! I love the reminders I can set for vaccines, and keep a whole health record as well.

### 3/5 — Good app, just needs more upgrading

*2023-08-13*

I like this app for managing my Herefords but for any of a number of popular breeds it’s useless. It doesn’t sync to the Angus Association, so you can’t manage those pedigrees. It doesn’t synch to ANY horse associations making it useless for horses. It’s missing several animals entirely. It’s a good basis but they need to put a lot more into it before it’ll be truly useful.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately we can only work with participating associations so it's really up to them if they appear in the list.
You can also manually enter animals as for reference purposes to fill out a pedigree so the app maintains use but just means you can't automatically backfill pedigrees on associations that don't participate.

### 4/5 — Excellent for livestock tracking

*2023-08-06, version 2023.15.0*

I found this app to be the best one for tracking cattle. I was not able to add any registered American Angus Association registration numbers.

### 3/5 — I can’t figure out how to sign in

*2023-05-20, version 2023.6.0*

It says login failed every time I try to log in

### 3/5 — Photos

*2023-03-01, version 2023.3.0*

Definitely liked having the photos visible when you open the animals profiles vs having to open another screen to access photos. More clicks to get to places doesn’t make for ease of quick updates while adding to the animal profiles.

### 4/5 — Photos

*2022-12-29, version 2022.48.0*

Could we please add photos to products just like we can with the animals

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Expenses and Revenue not showing up when marking an animal sold.

*2026-04-26, version 2026.10.0*

Expenses and Revenue not showing up when marking an animal sold. Also bred doe cant be marked sold (isn’t working).

### 1/5 — Used to be really good

*2026-03-21*

I use the paid version and I switched because it was so good but the fact that I can no longer add just a line item and actually have to add the item to my products which is stupid if it’s something that I am purchasing just once is a giant pain. Not to mention that for some reason the sale of stock is not automatically added to my revenue which was the main benefit for my farm taxes. Now I have to go through and actually add the revenue so now I have to do these things twice. Your app was supposed to make my life easier not more difficult. Fix the issues you’ve created and I will fix my rating. Also the fact that 3/4 time I don’t get a response from support

**Developer response:** Great to hear you found the auto expense feature! That was our first run at it so I'm sure we can improve the accuracy as we go.

### 1/5 — No one home

*2026-03-07, version 2026.0.1*

Like the app, but slow to respond when you ask questions in their chat room. One big feature of this app was promised to be weather information for your location. My weather still does not populate for my location. I have asked, and asked for help. Can’t get anyone on the phone and no one responds to me when I ask them for help through their own chat messaging system.

### 1/5 — A real disappointment.

*2025-01-09, version 2024.23.0*

This app has been a huge disappointment for me because I had such high hopes for it. The biggest issue is that you have to punch in all the animal data (you can’t upload csv file)… I punched all data on the first group of goats I bought and it took forever afterwards it became too labor intensive. If you have 10 goats it works great but not if you have a couple hundred.

### 1/5 — Update made app useless

*2021-12-18, version 221.50.0*

The recent update to the app has made the expense tracking feature useless. I am able to input information but then when I hit save it gives me an error message not finding a keyboard? Anyways loved the app prior but frustrating now that I have my content in there and now can’t continue to finish tracking for the year.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2019-12-25*

This App looked great from the beginning but once I started adding animals I ran into multiple issues. When adding percentages, you cannot select the exact number. One of ours is 59% Limousin, however the only options closest to that number are either 50% or 62.5%. I’d much rather have exact information rather than an estimated percentage. Also, you cannot enter registration numbers without selecting your association and those options are very limited. Not able to select an association means no ability to enter proper registration . Lastly, you are not able to enter Sire or Dam information unless those animals are part of your “Herd” which means no genetic information of any kind and no means to manually enter EPDs. With those discrepancies, it would be much easier to stick to an Excel spreadsheet.

**Developer response:** Sorry it didn't work out for you.
We support all breed associations who have signed on with HerdLogic, if you'd like to be able to link to your association herd data, we recommend sending them a message to join. When this is done the system will automatically display the pedigree and epd's.
The alternative is to use the reference animal option which will allow use in pedigrees and genetic inventory, but they won't clutter up your active herd.
Also note, we offer in-herd EBV's which is a better approach for replacement and sire prospect selection as it isn't impacted by the data quality issues breed associations face with cross herd evaluation.

### 1/5 — Not useful for poultry or small animal farms

*2019-06-07*

Poultry species limited to chickens. Many farmers also raise ducks, turkeys, geese and guinea fowl. Basically makes the app useless for us.

No species support for rabbits- problematic for farms like ours that raise meat rabbits.

For fowl, individuals are neither names nor tagged. We have multiple flocks that range from a dozen to 40 birds each. Per bird entries are not useful. I need to name a flock, indicate number of females and, if present in the flock, males. Far too time consuming to create entries per bird when well never be able to tie a given animal back to a record in the app.

Would be very helpful to have a varieties check list where the master list by species is maintained by the farmer. Different varieties have very different growth rates and laying patterns. So it matters if a flock has a particular variety of layer or meat bird.

Same for rabbits, although unlike fowl, breeders are named or numbered; and offspring generally are coded in some way to ID which parents produce the best offspring for meat quality and quantity.

### 1/5 — Bavgoat

*2017-10-03, version 48.3.0*

Virtually impossible to upgrade to a subscription. No one responds to emails or phone messages for help.

### 2/5 — Used to be fantastic

*2026-04-27*

I have used this app for several years now. Truly was a game changer for tracking kidding dates, meds, sales etc. but with the last few updates that have been made I’ve been very unimpressed. I was having to double enter sales, add items in before I could made the transaction list. Now for what I see as the worst offense my animals individual profiles don’t hold any of the records! It won’t let me make notes or add that I’ve medicated them or done a hoof trim, nothing! It wiped all my medical and show records I had. Sadly if this doesn’t get fixed I may have to look for another app.

### 2/5 — Won’t save

*2024-07-21, version 2024.8.0*

I really thought I was going to like this app but it won’t save the diagnosis

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Long Term Subsciber

*2026-07-01, version 2026.21.0*

Livestocked data collection system makes decisions to select cattle that thrive on your farm simple and fast. The built system reveals the programmer really understands the cattle business in all aspects.

### 5/5 — That’s the one who works for me!

*2026-01-12, version 2025.23.0*

I’ve tried a few app for the management of my small milking goat herd and Livestocked is the one who works the best for my farm. Easy to use and very helpfull to keep track on everything.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2025-11-06*

By far the best record keeping software I've been able to find and tech support is great. It's easy to use and will keep track of multiple species in multiple pastures. The ui is simple and easy to navigate. I recommend it to all the producers that I meet. Only 2 things I would change is I wish I could "click out" of the tabs instead of having to press X and it would be nice to have keyboard shortcuts like shift, tab and enter so you don't have to click as much. Otherwise, it is a fantastic app!

### 5/5 — Almost perfect.

*2025-03-16, version 2025.6.0*

Can't live without it... or make a living. Easy, and always in my pocket. Great support.

### 5/5 — Best money spent

*2025-01-26*

I have had this app for quite some time. Last year I finally decided to use the paid version. I am so glad I did. The features included have made my life so much easier and I swear every time I go to use it there is a new useful feature. My favorite new one is the beta version of expense from photo. Omg not perfect but it makes it so much easier. I love that my tax stuff is in the same app that I use to keep track of my livestock health data.

**Developer response:** Great to hear you found the auto expense feature! That was our first run at it so I'm sure we can improve the accuracy as we go.

### 5/5 — Great Management App

*2024-10-06, version 2024.17.0*

Love the new updates. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Useful/helpful app

*2024-08-03*

I love this app.

Is there a way to view a whole lineage tree at once to view or print lineage? It would be great if we would to be able to do that.

If we could have a designated place for adding an animal’s awards, that would be great too. And if it showed the awards when viewing the presumptuous lineage tree.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback!
There is a bar of buttons below the animal name on the profile screen, one of those is a pedigree chart.

We do not currently have a specific location for awards, but you can use notes or comments.

### 5/5 — Great App for our goat farm

*2024-06-07*

We like that this app keeps track of all of our Goats. We are able to see at a glance how many goats are in each pasture. It doesn’t matter if I’m at one property and my husband is at the other property. We are both able to use our phones to access the Goats. Whether it be to look and see who is up-to-date on medication or to change something within a Goats profile. It is also very handy that when we sell Goats, we are able to email the Goats profile, history and receipt to the new owner. The App also keeps track of your expenses and revenue. If we ever do have a question, we are able to message Livestocked and generally within 24 hours or so we receive a response. They are constantly updating the app with new ways to keep track of our farm which is always a plus. These are just a few things that we like about this app, but there are many more.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback and great to hear it's working out!

### 5/5 — User friendly !

*2024-01-03, version 2023.25.0*

Been using this app for over five years now and absolutely love it. It is by far the best bang for your buck as far as management apps and the team is great to work with.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-04-15*

I have used both the free and paid versions. If you are just managing for pleasure the free app is great. I breed and sell Boer goats. I have used the paid version, this is my third year. The first year trialed this against quickbooks. That may be a wacky comparison for some. Granted quickbooks has rich features but it didn’t apply to what I needed. In this app I can track pastures, animals, supplies, how much I feed and when. It imports my goats pedigrees. I can treat a pasture when I’m giving vaccinations or an animal if something is going on with that animal.

If you’ve updated your inventory when you treat animals it is deducted from inventory.

I track all my revenues and expenses for taxes at the end of the year. The app will export to excel and you have all the categories to align with farm tax forms.

If you ever have an issue even if it is user error the developer responds right away and helps you. I really can’t say enough positive about this app. I have it in the field with me. My goat vet had her annual visit and asked me a question I pulled it right up. She asked for the app, now she uses it at her farm and recommended it on Facebook to all her clients.

I’m sure there is one thing I could come up with maybe to be able to separate expenses for horses vs goats. It may be in a higher version but I have made my own work around for it.
5 stars all the way!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! Great to hear it's working out.
