The spot where you click to turn it back is gray and doesn’t work. If I uninstall and reinstall, it sooommmeeetimes works for a little bit, but then switches the orientation and sticks. I also have issues with other phones connecting to the livestream studio app. It’s super annoying, but I don’t have any other app options. Also, why isn’t there a support option? ### 3/5 — Not a bad app, but continuity is lacking *2021-09-12, version 4.1.6* Overall not a bad app. It streams content well with few hiccups due to buffering or lag. Sound is good. My biggest complaint against the app has more to do with live-streaming my church’s services. I know when they will be going live, it’s scheduled to go live at a certain time, the app even counts down to when it goes live. However, when it goes live, it doesn’t automatically switch to viewing the content. I have to completely close the app and find the livestream again in order to view the content. Frustrating. ### 4/5 — Finally Found Streaming from IS House & Senate *2021-01-07, version 4.1.6* Our local PBS streaming service was not streaming these critical debates although other areas were doing so. After a long search, I finally found that these could be found on Vimeo Livestream. Very happy to find this. I do find it puzzling that this app has not been updated in three years. I take this long indifference to mean that the Livestream service is not high on Vimeo’s priority list. ### 3/5 — App needs an update, desperately. *2021-01-07, version 4.1.6* App needs an update to be compatible with latest iOS version. App is buggy and doesn’t allow for copying of link or sharing. App freezes and crashes constantly if I try to scroll through list and switch to different stream. I ### 4/5 — Buffering Sequence *2020-03-29, version 4.1.6* I have a concert how the buffering will jump to the most current moment and not pick up where the buffering at started. I was recently a live catholic mass and I kept missing speaking parts because the buffering picked up at the most up to date moment and not where the buffering started. Very frustrating. Side note, the Apple TV app should have a way to add favorites (accounts and videos). That buffering issue also exists in the Apple TV app as well. It’s worth looking into ### 3/5 — Pretty good *2019-08-26, version 4.1.6* This app works pretty well. My biggest wish is that those I follow show up on my home page. Right now I have to search to find those I am following. When I receive notice a livestream that is happening in that moment the link opens in a search engine. I have to open this app and search for it. This causes me to miss the beginning while I spend finding it. Once I am in it is ok. ### 3/5 — Freezes *2019-08-18, version 4.1.6* It freezes ALOT and is totally unviewable when you attempt to view it through an Apple TV. As a stand-alone thru a mobile device with adequate bandwidth it’s ok....not bad but needs tweaking to improve view viewing experience. ### 3/5 — Why make Favorites if I have to Search *2019-06-11, version 4.1.6* The app is a great tool but I continually have to search for my favorite. It should be on a quick access list and we should not have to go in and search for it every time. I forgot that livestream was going to broadcast so we missed the first few minutes. Fortunately, we can view that part on the app. This app looks great on Apple TV as well! ### 5/5 — Thankful for this app *2019-01-02, version 4.1.6* I am very thankful for this app. Without it I would be unable to watch my church services live. I am able to watch service on my iPad, Roku, Fire rv or Apple TV from anywhere when I’m out of town. ### 5/5 — This app meets my needs *2018-12-16, version 4.1.6* For me, it’s simple. The app notifies me when a broadcast is about to take place. I respond and watch the broadcast/video. That’s it. I guess one might say “I’m low maintenance” Also, if I want to rewatch a previous broadcast, I go to the app and watch it. If any of this changes, a future review may reflect it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Would you like an app to continuously crash?! Then download this one! *2020-07-15, version 4.1.6* You’ll notice that the last time an update was pushed was two years ago, and IT SHOWS! The amount of times this app crashes is annoying to say the least! Constantly having to close the entire app down in order to move to a different video is frustrating! I only have this app because of specific people, ministries, and organizations I follow. If they went to something else I’d follow in a heartbeat, heck I’d encourage it. FIX THE APP! ### 1/5 — My church uses this to live stream *2020-04-26, version 4.1.6* I don’t like this. I use my iPad to stream church services. Not sure what happened but recently when trying to watch it will only come up on a side bar and the viewing area is only 2 inches. Much too small for my eyes. What good is having an iPad to view things when this comes up so small. It didn’t do this before. ### 1/5 — Why do I have to search for my church every single time! *2020-02-02, version 4.1.6* I use LiveStream to watch my church on Apple TV. I don't understand why the developers decided not to include a section that has what I usually watch! Also, the search feature needs improvement. When I search for my church, it never just show the live event, it just shows an event that was 4 years ago! I have to go to Account -> my church to see the livestream event. Not very user friendly! If LiveStream would update the app, I would give them more stars! ### 1/5 — Lack of Updated and Bug Fixed *2019-12-15, version 4.1.6* This app hasn’t been updated in two years. Casting is completely broken and fails every time on multiple devices, it still is t optimized for new iPhones to fill the screen, and the UI is a little clunky and old looking. Personally, I’m not a fan. I have a hard time getting the video I’m trying to watch to ever load and start playing, even with 5 bars of LTE. The Apple TV app is very basic, and you have to search every time you want to watch something. There is no feed of accounts you follow or anything. Great product, disappointing app experience. ### 1/5 — VERY misleading! *2018-06-08, version 4.1.6* The description leads you to believe that with this app only you can stream video live from your phone to wherever you want for FREE. However, this is NOT the case. It requires you to purchase other hardware from them in order to do so. The app itself provides NO ability to live stream anything on its own. Very misleading and apple should make them change their description. ### 2/5 — No update in 2 years?! *2019-12-20, version 4.1.6* I can’t give more than 2 stars here because the app hasn’t been updated in 2 years and casting to Google Chromecast is completely broken. All you will get is Error on your phone and on your TV you get a screen trying to load your video and then a splash screen. Completely broken. Fix it. 2 years and no update is unacceptable ### 2/5 — Apple TV version seems lacking *2018-04-18, version 4.1.6* I’ve had no issues with the app on various platforms, but the Apple TV version doesn’t give me access to my account and thus I have to dig around to find streams from accounts that I followed. Some accounts broadcast regularly and the least the Apple TV app could do would remember streams I follow. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement *2023-11-20* I have a difficult time successfully locating the account and the program I want to view. It doesn’t come up easily. The latest program doesn’t present itself first. I love how you can turn off the video and it will play in the background, so it also works well in the car. My church body Calvary Chapel South Bay utilizes the app to stream all the live services from the Sunday morning services and evening service as well as its midweek service on Thursday. I love that after the initial lice service is over I can access the then archived service and toggle to the point of the broadcast that I want to view and listen to. I can pause it and read the slides my pastor presents during the service and note anything that I find interesting. I’m sure there are plenty more advantages and perks to this app that I have yet to engage. ### 5/5 — Excellent streaming of my church service *2020-02-16, version 4.1.6* I appreciate this service by Livestream to listen to my early morning and late morning church programs. Anywhere that I get WiFi I can hear the Word. I am still on their email list, so I got notice that they would live stream the parade this year. I created an account for the app, and I was able to cast it to my TV for my family to enjoy. ### 5/5 — Better than most *2019-08-09, version 4.1.6* I’ve tried several streaming apps (at least 3), and this seems to work better than the others, although I do find it to be a bit overwhelming & confusing - perhaps because it does so much. I gave it 5 stars because it doesn’t throw ads in my face constantly. Navigation is still a challenge, so I guess I need to spend more time with it.
