### 2/5 — Help

*2021-05-03*

Been using this app for a few years but after an update a while ago it has stopped working. No support too date

### 2/5 — Used to be good......

*2015-12-09*

This 'was' solid and reliable - with no updates it's just become glitchy and I've had to ditch it. I wouldn't buy this in its current form. It's served me well but need a replacement now.

### 3/5 — Volume and time line missing ??

*2015-06-19*

Recently have noticed the volume bar and the time line scrub bar missing from the app ?? Any idea why ??

### 1/5 — Bugs in new version

*2013-07-25*

I downloaded the new version yesterday (24 July 2013) and almost immediately found a problem. If you (accidentally) double tap a song from your songlist it will (obviously) appear twice in the playlist window. If you then try to remove one of the duplicated titles the app bombs out. The same happens if you hit the Red STOP button. This app needs a bit more beta testing. If I discover anything else untoward I'll post it here. For the moment this is unusable in a 'live' environment.

### 1/5 — Update: Not Such A Brilliant App After All!

*2013-06-03*

This is a brilliant app, more expensive than most but you get what you pay for with quality music apps. Although at the moment it comes without a user guide it is very simple and straight forward to use. The only problem I had was finding out how to put lyrics on. But that was simple too once I found out. All you have to do is go into your iTunes library find the song you want and right click it. There you will find a box with a lyrics tab. Copy and paste from any notepad or word document. Shows text and any chord diagrams. Don't forget to sync you device once that is done. Great feature for rehearsing or live work. The support from the developer is first class and once you send an email it will be answered very quickly. Apparently there are a lot more helpful features to come and a soon to be released user guide and support website which will make this THE number one app!

UPDATE: I completely eat my words! This developer is totally useless when it comes to updates. There are far better updated apps out there now that work as you would expect. Try StageTrax it is far better, a fraction of the price, and with constant improvements such as scrolling and resizeable lyrics, volume for each song, volume for playlist etc, etc. Give it a try this one is now redundant I WANT A REFUND!

### 1/5 — Not worth $

*2013-01-07, version 1.1.2*

This app is misrepresented in the description. I don't know what kind of gigs this would help with but this has no backtrack functions. I can't find any functions in fact. I would like my money back.

### 1/5 — Lots of features missing

*2012-06-21*

I used this app recently at a live gig and it has a long way to go. It is a very expensive app and I was expecting something a lot better.

Firstly although it's great that the songs stop after each track, you need an option to make them continuous so that you can use the app to play music in the breaks as well. I had to play break music from within the Music app on iPad, not a big deal but then when switching back to Live Trax Pro the track I wanted to start the set with would be scrolled half way through the song with no option to rewind. I had to delete the song and re-cue it to start again. Again not a big deal but it's all wasted time and mucking around while onstage.
Also you need to be able to easily insert a song into the current playlist. It's quite easy to switch playlists, but if you get a request in the middle of the set there is a lot of mucking around with swapping playlists. Much cheaper apps offer an easy "insert" button.
Will happily re review if some of these bugs are fixed in this very expensive app.

FURTHER TO THIS, nearly a year since any kind of update for a $20 app? Very very poor service :(

### 3/5 — Then will be a new update?

*2012-05-02, version 1.1.2*

I bough this app and I don't like how work some functions. For example: then it show lyric I can't slowdown lyric by my finger, lyric automatically jump in down. And then music play I need to rewinding, but livetrax don't have this simply function!

### 4/5 — Mixed feelings . . . for now

*2011-12-31*

This app came without any instructions. I emailed the developer and got an immediate, helpful and very detailed reply.

Brilliant . . . except it puzzles me why the instructions weren't provided with the app to begin with? Or why are they not posted on the support site? Why did I have to go asking for them? Strange.

Anyway, now I'm looking forward to using the app and will update this review once I've used it for a live gig.

### 2/5 — Appears to be poor value for money?

*2011-11-13*

It appears to me that this App has not dowloaded correctly!
How do you import & display lyrics?
There is no help or guidance page.
The web page does not appear to offer much help either - just excuses and a recipe for a cake!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work any more

*2021-03-06*

This app stopped working a couple months of ago. No support !!!!

### 1/5 — Not usable for stage work

*2021-01-03*

App used to be good but now useless for live work..The big issue I have is that the playlists are alphabetical and I cannot see how to change this..l need the songs to play in the order I choose... the play list in iTunes is correct but this app takes the songs and puts them in an alphabetical order in the play list, what is the point of that!

### 1/5 — Roll back to update

*2018-06-10*

Used to be a fantastic app until the update The UI changed it became a bit pant. for singer/to control live the old version why way better!

### 1/5 — Do Not Buy

*2017-03-16, version 2.0.2*

Clunky and terrible. Do not buy.

### 1/5 — Preferred the old version

*2013-10-01*

I have used livetrax at live gigs since it was released, and it has been great and had great features, including the 'double tap' pause and stop buttons, which stopped you from accidentally cutting a track short during a gig.
However since the update, this feature has been taken away, as has the red delete button at the side of a queued track.
Also the lyrics used to come up on a separate full screen, this has been changed to a smaller less visible screen.
Is there a way to re load the old version to my ipad as using this version has caused me many problems during gigs.
Even better it would be great to have the features I have listed above installed on the new update.
I hope to hear a reply.

### 1/5 — Possible fix

*2013-07-30*

Providing you updated through your ipad/iPod and not your main iTunes account and haven't synchronised since the update, there is a way to get the original version back. First delete the app then synchronise your ipad with iTunes, you will see the original green app is still there. reinstall it and bingo. You will still be told there is an update but as we all know it should be ignored.

### 1/5 — Mr

*2013-07-29*

Not good , I rely on this app every week for live shows and since latest update it crashes constantly. Rubbish. Please sort out ASAP as ther was nothing wrong with it before.

### 1/5 — No double tap feature

*2013-07-28, version 2.0.0*

This update is horrible! I can't believe you got rid of the double tap feature. This is now another useless audio player. I've been using this on stage professionally with no hiccups for a very long time. The double tap feature is a fail safe step for loops. Now I run the risk of hitting a wrong button while playing a loop and screwing it up during a live performance. Speaking of the buttons, why on earth did you choose those ridiculous color schemes? At a minimum you need to be able to turn the double tap feature back on in the settings.

### 1/5 — V2 is not as good as V1.1.2

*2013-07-26*

I have written to the developer and want my old version v1.1.2 back. as the previous user comments have stated, yes it does bomb out back to the main screen, also the double click has been removed, this was so helpful as it help to minimise errors. The new larger playlist font is too big and it dont seem to be customizable. There's no online support, I need my old version back ASAP as I have pending gigs and no way of getting any support replied to quickly. It's not a cheap app and should be supported far better than it is. Anyone want to post a question please contact me at bazaxe@gmail. This is a disaster, was OK but now worse and I fully rely on it.

### 1/5 — Update Ruined App

*2013-07-25, version 2.0.0*

The update has ruined what was great about the app!

This is what WAS great about the app:
Simple playlist playback
Huge start stop button, for live/stage use
After each stop stops, advance to next song in playlist, but does not play.
Simple design.

Now all of that has changed and it is just a crappy fako ipod
Dont buy

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It’s broken

*2023-06-10*

I’ve been using this app for about 4 years and I have loved it until recently as it is now not functional since I upgraded the IOS on my iPad to 16.3.1. After I load a song and press play the song deletes instead of playing. On my gig last night I had to use iTunes and that really sucked. Please fix my favorite app!

### 5/5 — Back in action!

*2020-01-02*

The latest upgrade brought this app back to life! Although, audio apps seem to be particularly vulnerable to iOS updates... Stop messing with us Apple! This is still my main track playback program. Does just what a soloist needs.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2014-06-27, version 2.0.1*

This is a great app. I run all my trax's for my concerts on this app and have never been disappointed in its performance. Very easy to use too!

### 5/5 — What I've been waiting for

*2013-07-25, version 2.0.0*

This app was the reason I dumped minidiscs...and the new update is a greatly appreciated improvement to a very useful app for live performers. Easy to use and highly recommended if you perform on stage!

### 5/5 — Perfect for the job!

*2012-07-06*

I play home recorded aif files from my iPad live 4 nights a week and have been plagued by all sorts of issues with iTunes and other players.
This app is absolutely perfect for the job. Easy to navigate, easy to access lyrics, great screen and nice big responsive buttons!
Slightly expensive - by about £10, but on the whole, a great addition to my live set up.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2012-05-22*

Okay so I work as a sound engineer and was after an app to allow me to play backing tracks and sound effects for stage shows. So okay I haven't used it in a show yet, but in my testing this is amazing!!!!!!

### 5/5 — This is it!

*2012-02-20*

This is the real deal. I have been searching for an App that can be used by a professional musician/singer that uses backing tracks, and may occasionally need lyrics.

The best! Well done

### 5/5 — Fantastic app!!!

*2011-12-28*

Fantastic app!!! It works perfectly, is easy to use on stage and has never crashed or glitched.

### 5/5 — Great app. Saved my butt!

*2011-12-10, version 1.1.2*

I bought this and other apps to take the place of my gig
Set list's originally used with the iPad music player.
When I updated to os5 I realizedI was in trouble with
The music player being changed and no lyric support!

So, I frantically searched for a replacement.
I tried others and found this to be the easiest and
Best solution. Of course I had questions and found it to have
Great support. Best app thus far for gigging with backing tracks
Period! End of story! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Fantastic App - It just works... Well thought out

*2011-10-18*

What a great idea - that you have to double tap most things so there's no woops moments on stage!

Thanks for installing the rewind button - its great.

Love that you can cue any track from any playlist while the current track is playing...

Bug free and after six months use on stage in all sorts of situations it's never let me down.

Great support.
