Apps are supposed to get better, not worse. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2025-01-10* Super buggy. Doesn’t capture record properly 30% of the time. So essentially, this app is completely useless. Glad I spent almost $300 on the camera to not be able to use it because the app is terrible. Crashes within one or two seconds of recording *2019-10-05* Bought this device after watching review on Paul Wilson's website. While the concept is good, I found the camera has poor low light performance indoors and the IOS app is really crappy! Didn't really get a single recording. Both in the manual and the sound activated recording modes, the app crashes in a couple of seconds on my iPad. Really a disappointing waste of $300! I am probably better of viewing or recording with my phone on tripod or a wifi home security camera! Many good models are available under $100. Will be returning this unless there is an update to the app soon. ### 2/5 — Average camera needs to be HD *2019-05-23, version 5.4.22* Brought the unit, needs to be used outside when used in a well lighted golf studio, picture get grainy, and with fast swings the club head and shaft are lost into a blur. If you have lessons where your teacher uses slo-motion video and “lines” to indicate swing path, aim points etc you can do all the same analysis with this camera and app. I really rate this highly. ### 5/5 — Best training aid ever *2018-12-01* Like thx previous review, I bought this after learning about it from my pro who said I’d find it very difficult to make the suggested changes without video feedback. He was right. I worked on a change without feedback for two weeks before receiving my liveviewgolf and was disappointed when the next lesson showed showed very little progress. Great progress after working w this the next two weeks. I use both the “mirror” functionality and also record and review while at the range. If you are serious about changing your swing or jchecking mechanics I’d highly recommend this. Small, good battery life and a number of options for mounting....alignment rod, mini tripod or a full tripod. ### 5/5 — If You Want to Improve your Golf Swing Buy LiveViewGolf *2017-06-16* I purchased LiveViewGolf several weeks ago at the urging of my swing instructor. I wish I would've had something like this years ago! It makes my practice so much more effective! The ability to see what feels are required to make your swing do what you want makes the learning process happen that much faster. And for those of you who say, "why not use a mirror?", I can tell you that it's not the same. Having to look up and look into a mirror does not make it the same. This product is super easy to operate and setup. It's worked without any glitches either and the battery life is impressive! I'm so happy I bought LiveViewGolf! ### 5/5 — Brilliant tool *2017-05-15, version 5.1.1* I'm a visual learner so when I received this for Christmas I was buzzing! My practice sessions have been 10 times more efficient since using the live view as I can track every swing and also record my practice drills. Would recommend this to anyone seriously looking to improve ### 4/5 — Five stars camera, 3 stars app = 4 star rating *2018-12-20* I would give a 5-star rating to the product (the LiveView camera) but the App is not quite living up to my expectation. The app is simple enough, turn on the camera and see yourself on the device. The real value is the ability to draw lines, boxes, circles, to help focus on the areas you want to improve. What’s frustrating to me is the editing function that is so primitive and lacking. Here are things that annoy me the most: - Select the line previously drawn is a “hit-and-miss” at best. If you have more than a few graphic objects (lines, boxes, circles) on the screen, picking the one that you want to move is almost impossible. - You cannot select a line to delete. You can only move them (if you can manage to select them in the first place.) To delete a line that is not the last one, you have to “undo” the lines all the way back until the one you want to delete is cleared. If the problems above are fixed, it would make it this app much more user friendly. Beyond that, there are some more things that would be really nice to have such as the ability to modify like changing the color, resize, rotate, etc. Anyway, I’m glad I bought the camera.
