The maps function in this app is broken and doesn’t track navigation properly in real time. ### 2/5 — Inconsistent… *2026-06-06, version 1.7.1* When it works, the app is great. Keeps unpairing from my bike and the charging station info is outdated. That being said connectivity with the bike is sporadic at best. If I could connect whenever I want I would rate it 4.5 out of 5. Unfortunately, I have had to delete the app and reload it several times just to get it to connect. ### 4/5 — When it works it’s fantastic. *2026-05-09* Basically the title… When the app works, it does exactly what you need it to do without any crazy bells and whistle (which I personally like), but sometimes for seemingly no apparent reason, the app can like “disconnect” or not sync with your S2. So instead of reading, “last synced 8 seconds ago” it’ll say, “last synced 8 hours ago” and show the bike as it was in that time. It’s frustrating and I don’t know why it happens. If they fixed that this app would be perfect. ### 4/5 — Improving with Every Release *2026-04-09, version 1.7.1* Setting charge percentage via the app was a welcomed upgrade. If they fixed that this app would be perfect. ### 3/5 — Needs some improvement *2025-12-07* The app is ok, but it needs some improvement. Ideally, I could use my Apple Maps GPS and have that shown up in the screen. I’d like to be able to avoid highways or tolls, should be an easy feature to add. Sometimes the route shows in the screen, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes I get voice directions, sometimes I don’t. More consistency would be fantastic. ### 3/5 — Good with some weird limitations *2025-11-16* The app adds some useful functionality to the bike but some obvious things are missing, like the ability to use Google Maps for navigation (or the ability to use Livewire’s navigation to set a home or work location). It’s also not possible to start or stop charging or change the target charge percentage in the app - you need to do it on the bike. I’m glad the app exists and I hope some of these weird omissions are fixed. **Developer response:** Great shout — thanks for sending it our way. The app only tells you details about the bike however, and does not control any features on the bike like stop charging or change target percent for charging. Additionally, the built-in GPS is trash. We're actively working on enhancements with every release, and your input helps shape those changes. ### 4/5 — Problems with IOS 26 update. *2025-09-22, version 1.5.1* The app is mostly okay and gets the job done, but there are a few quirks that aren’t quite working for me. I’ve noticed on YouTube that some folks use a digital 360 photo of the bike to move it. It would be great if they could take a look at that and maybe add a feature that filters out which chargers the bike can actually use. It’s super frustrating when it points you to a charger that doesn’t have the right connection. To be honest, the bike has been amazing these past weeks! But I have to say, the app experience could definitely use a little polish. ### 3/5 — Does Some Things Well *2025-09-20* The Livewire app does some things well, but is very limited in its capabilities. I have to say I’m coming from owning a Rivian and a Tesla, so I know I can’t expect the same level of polish from Livewire, but it is missing some basic functionality. You should be able to adjust charging limits from the app, but you can’t. The navigation process is unnecessarily cumbersome. It feels like they are trying everything they can to not license a real navigation app. Overall though, I’ve owned many motorcycles, including 3 Harleys, and none of those had an app. I’m thankful Livewire started somewhere and I’m excited to see where they go from here. **Developer response:** We understand your frustration and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. There’s certain times the app reroute, unconsciously and uncomfortably. It also at times doesn’t show up on the live wire display. You have to shut down the app and then turn off the Bluetooth. The app needs like two or three tweaks, and it’ll be perfect, but other than that, I can’t really say I can complain with it. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your support. App stopped working (said it needed to pair with bike) and I haven’t gotten it to pair again - tried many times to pair - I never got it to work since. ### 1/5 — S2 Del Mar *2026-02-08, version 1.6.0* The app offers great info and ease of use. Layout is very nice. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2026-01-23* Haven’t ridden for a couple weeks and cannot connect to my bike. I’ve had so many issues with this app. Never quite seems to work right. Update: I wrote this review a year ago and just now received a generic response from Livewire. New purchase in 2025 and I’m loving how this works. Need an RFE for those with Bluetooth helmets. Aural experience options tied to throttle. Yep it’s a fun idea. Add some sound to the experience.
