Had a very clean interface and nicely organized weather information you could bring up very quickly. Now it’s just a cluttered mess. ### 3/5 — Lost music as alarm option *2026-06-30, version 4.25* I loved this app especially the alarm clock feature until recently. I was previously able to choose a song from my music collection to use as an alarm clock. Then suddenly the alarm auto switched to one of the sounds that come with the app. I don’t even have the option to select music from my library anymore. I even downloaded the app on a different iPad. I also can only select from the pre-installed sounds and have no option to select from my Apple library of music. ### 5/5 — My go to weather app *2026-06-27, version 4.25* I usually use a trifecta of weather sources to see what my future holds, but even amongst the three, this app I, more often than not, find to be the most accurate. And the fact it is a gorgeous display that you can see the realtime clouds, sun and moon is just the cherry on top! Especially if you watch the weather across several cities or travel a lot, this app is a must have. The app is now so cluttered (especially on the iPhone) that I cringe whenever I use it. Definitely designed by someone who doesn’t actually use it for everyday life. I updated again today with hope for some clarity. No. No improvements. I need a simple and easy to use app for a quick weather check not a weather research tool with pesky charts and graphs and whatnot. It’s very pretty and looks nice, but the easy functionality was removed. It used to be easy to see the hour by hour forecast for the day by tapping and expanding. Now you see a graph with small numbers. The worst part for me is the tiny blue precipitation percentage numbers on a dark background. They’re not easy to read. I understand progress but I believe the changes made make this app weaker in what it did best: show the weather! I’ll stick around for a while hoping for some improvements, but I will likely switch to an alternative. Thanks for the years of a great app and what had been my most used weather app (in all seriousness)! ### 3/5 — Please give option for old pre update layout! *2026-06-09, version 4.20.2* A really good and trusted weather app that I had used in preference to apples own version for well over 3 years. Greeted with a beautiful globe on start up and weekly overview from the off. Where it stood out though was the simplicity being able to touch a specific day to see a hourly breakdown line by line giving all the essentials I needed (chance of precipitation, temp cloud cover etc) at a glance that could be deciphered in under 5 seconds. Now (after an major update) they have changed the interface so that it is no longer this apps USP but now looks more like a clone of apple weather app 😞. It is now longer winded to discern the basic information and even opening one of the many options does not give clear unambiguous information only an overview and guess. Please developers if you read these reviews, please, please, please add an option to allow users to revert back to the pre update version with its clearly defined hour by hour views and I will give it 5*. ### 3/5 — Los días de la semana están incorrectos *2026-06-08, version 4.20.2* Cuando veo una Coudad para saber clima de hoy y pronóstico, por ejemplo hoy, que es lunes, se ve hoy, imagino que entonces es de hoy lunes pero luego abajo dice lunes, entonces no sé si están mal o son dos pronósticos para el lunes ### 2/5 — UI Update - Not for me *2026-06-07, version 4.20.2* The pictured UI for the app is the old UI. It is was simple and expanded vertically to show two hour forecast blocks. Their new UI looks like every other weather app, busy with too much going on and not what I want. The earth part is still pretty, but it’s not the app I paid for… ### 3/5 — New update fail *2026-06-05, version 4.20.2* I get that apps have to keep evolving and be refreshed. The beauty of the Living Earth app was it’s simplicity: a clean interface and not overloaded with data and bells and whistles I wasn’t looking for. Really nice looking app. Used it for nearly a decade now and still keep going to it. Layout is now cluttered, and busy, and requires scrolling when it used to deliver a lot of information at a glance. I can no longer recommend this app. Looking for a new one that will provide more complete information at a glance. ### 1/5 — LOVED until 4.20 *2026-05-25, version 4.20* First, why wasn’t 4.20 numbered as 5.0 - the UI was rewritten (and poorly!) Issues w/ 4.20 revamp: - Detail weather page has redundant current condition e.g. “Scattered thunderstorms” AND “Thunderstorms and Rain”. Wasted screen space! - Now have to scroll past new *horizontal* hourly fcst to view daily fcst - Hourly fcsts are now HORIZONTAL… DISLIKE! I originally *BOUGHT* LE since it still had VERTICALLY expanding fcst layout. Most other weather apps have horizontal layout (or switched from vertical to horizontal) which makes no sense as phones are held VERTICALLY by default! - Daily high/low temps have switched positions … why make change just for the sake of change? - While viewing daily fcst detail, after scrolling the hourly section to right, then changing to next or previous day via left/right arrow, the subsequently-selected day’s hourly fcst remains in same position as prior day, rather than resetting to left-most time (12 AM) - New layout junk wasn’t updated in App Store nor dev’s website. Perhaps bring back the prior/better layout, or add option for preferred layout…?? - Several items differ between pre-4.20 and 4.20: High/low daily temps, Humidity, wind speed, Sunrise/Sunset times. Seriously? I will NOT update LE to 4.20 on main phone. Thankfully I tested it on old phone first! ### 1/5 — Unable to load any more *2026-03-05, version 4.11.1* Dear Author, I wasn’t able contact you through the App Support link and so I have to use this as my method of communication. I am one of your happy customers up to my transfer to iPhone 17 Pro using iOS 26.3. Now I cannot load your app either from my iTunes account or your page. There is no error message. I have done shutdown and restarted and cleared my caches. Since the app is not on the phone I can’t erase it and reload. This has happened to at least 30 other applications from a variety of authors. There was some change in iOS 26.3 that is interfering with loading. Would you please create an update to fix it so I can use your app again?
