Even the day after Mahara Bazaar, it’s extremely difficult to find anyone to trade with. This is getting absolutely ridiculous. I’ve been back on for about 6 months now, every single day. And I remember that it DID NOT USED TO BE THIS BAD. Now there’s so many sets that it’s just impossible to find trades. With scarcity of resale tickets, and GP, it just makes it even harder. There are TOO MANY SETS. And this is the main cause of the problem I’m certain. What needs to change: infinite wishlists. It’s not even a maybe at this point. It’s a must have. You guys, we need infinite wishlists to help us find people with things to trade that we like. That’s the number one thing I can think of to help with this. We need infinite wishlists. Please for the love of god. I can’t stand spending another 15 hours just trying to find someone to trade my bazaar R item dress with just to get the R item crown, unsuccessfully. I can’t stand this, and I’m considering putting the app back down because I’m spending massive amounts of time and making little to no progress. I feel like I need to be making twice or maybe three times as much GP daily just to keep up with all of the sets and events, and I’m not making that much. One thing you guys need to be concerned about as well: you guys just issued resale tickets, but…I have seen no signs of even a minuscule improvement in new items in people’s stuff to trade. The timing that we receive the resale tickets needs to be better. THIS is definitely part of the problem. Considering that I only got a few items myself using that ticket, I think it was three, that’s enough to tell you that people aren’t getting enough time and GP to even get duplicates from past sets to trade with. That’s why I can’t find anyone to trade with! I’m tired of holding on to the same tree for a solid 6 months because I want to trade it for another specific tree, within wishcount and everything, just to be unable to find someone that happens to WANT my specific tree AND have the duplicate tree I want that’s from a set 4 years old. This is ridiculous. Back when this app first started, it wasn’t this bad at all. I know, I remember. The same system you guys have been using was working well enough at the beginning, but it is clearly unsustainable long term. I would highly advise you guys to make some improvements, because I honestly don’t see the app’s player count surviving another 5 years if you don’t. And then it’s all just gone. Wasted. Also, probably the thing I’d most like to see would be a rehaul of the the trade system, so that we could specifically search for a specific item in a search bar and pull up player names that have it. Even better would be if you could filter results to those that are looking for duplicates that you have in exchange for that specific item. I’m talking about being able to present a specific item and say: I want specifically THIS for it. And filter results. Or something like that! It's a nice, simple game with lots of cute items to collect and livlies to take care of with the only real problems being bots and a few persistent bugs. Unfortunately, I along with many other players have had issues recently and giving 1 star tends to draw more attention. The past few months, I have noticed lab work and event log in bonuses are giving significantly less than they used to. Although I understand companies have to make money, trying to get players to buy gp by reducing the rewards f2p players could receive does not sound like a good solution and overall comes off as extremely greedy. Additionally, I would like to quickly acknowledge the current (June 2026) nijisanji collaboration which a lot of players including myself have expressed concern due to the controversy surrounding one of the participating vtubers. Overall, it's a lovely game with lots of cute assets, however I believe some of the recent decisions weren't very good and that they should've been handled differently. ### 1/5 — Won't restore my account!! *2026-06-09, version 2.83.0* There is no support for this game. I’ve been playing this game for three years but it has a dark side. It’s a gacha game. So apparently this game releases items only for a limited time as you collected items overtime those items gain value. Which to me is one of the best parts of the game I truly find it fun and endearing to collect and trade items with other players. Also making some very nice friends along the way…. Here’s the downside, some of these players take it way too far. They are downright mean.. vulgar even. Over pixels. So if you’re going to play. You need to be tough. Because this game can’t protect you. My favorite Livlies are Sharkbit, Piki, and Byakko 🩷 ### 5/5 — THIS GAME DOES NOT PLAY *2026-08-17, version 2.88.0* Ok I am not going to lie, I thought of playing this game as cutesy cozy chill game. I WAS WRONG. This game is intense! And I don’t mean there’s no cutesy cozy chill aspect of decorating and having fun with your Livlies (the lil creatures). What I mean is the TRADING. The clothes for your character and decors are obtained through Gacha mechanics and you get duplicates. You can trade fellow Livly players for other decor, clothes or even fruits you obtain through trees you plant. As a Japanese person myself, THESE JAPANESE PEOPLE DO NOT PLAY. I mean, there are rules. Like if you’re trading a Gacha item from current ongoing Gacha, and you want something from Gacha that ended, you better be willing to give them MORE. There’s N (normal), R (rare) and SR (super rare) rating for items, but there’s a wishlist count (how many people have this item in the wishlist). You better be tallying those wishlist numbers because they use that. Often asking you to match the wishlist numbers (meaning higher wishlist = sought out more = worth more). There’s typically no “reruns” but the game gives you special tickets that allow you to rerun gachas. There are also items from events that are limited time and cannot be rerun. Those items “costs” even more (i.e consider offering items with 2x more wishlist count than this item has). Considering the seriousness of trades, and bulletin board manners, is it still fun? YES. They’re feeding off your FOMO. And Gacha items? Yes they are cute and makes you want to rip open your wallet to pull for more. Livlies are extremely cute (by the way, if you’re new - Neopygmies are LITERALLY so cute just saying). It is worth playing but don’t go crazy!! ### 5/5 — ReAD THiS! *2026-08-04, version 2.87.0* save this review for when you know what everything in lively means. this is something you need to read if you’re thinking about getting this game also some tips for when you get it it’s an amazing game does lag a bit though something you can do is you can save the game. It’s really easy and then it would take less time to load every single time, it could take a while, but it’s worth the wait second when you’re first picking out your lively, make sure you’re ready to keep it because you cannot get rid of it also, when you pick out your character, you don’t have to pick any of the starter ones you can see two buttons at the bottom you can hit custom and use anything you want and then you’ll keep those items through the game really useful. Also, you should make some friends at the beginning and definitely read the instructions. also there’s this red ticket when you go through gifts and it’s really useful. You can get to get a free pack that gets revived.
