### 3/5 — App needs major overhaul!

*2026-05-12, version 9.3.0*

I have been using Livongo since March 2023, and I’m happy with the tools I was sent like the blood pressure monitor and scale that record results in my phone app. I also like that I can set reminders to take my blood pressure and weight. That was okay in 2023, but you should be more advanced in 2026!

MAJOR CONS:
1. Neither my BLOOD PRESSURE or WEIGHT, which are both imported to the Livongo app via your equipment, can be shared with Apple Health. This means that I cannot share information with my doctor because a simple email of the information your app downloads does not work to get in touch with my medical institution. I need the data to be shared with Apple Health in order to place it in the proper app to be shared with my doctor.

2. Food logging is clunky and needs improvement! Your app does not allow for recipe building, favorite foods and recipes, or barcode scanning. Many apps are now equipped with AI, which do a pretty good job of using a picture to analyze nutrition, especially if someone has entered the meal prior. In order to log a salad, I have to put every single item in separately. This is not how to get follow-through for food logging!

3. I am going to call my insurance company and see if they have another app based program that I can use because I am not getting very much out of Livongo for the price that they are paying.

### 2/5 — Critical Flaw that dev could fix

*2026-04-02, version 9.3.0*

This app does not let you remove readings from your history. I use it to track my own Blood Pressure, but occasionally my wife uses the meter to spot check herself. My data and hers are combined and I CANNOT clear her readings from mine

### 2/5 — Food logging needs LOTS OF WORK.

*2026-03-29, version 9.3.0*

I like the ability to see my vitals and activity at a glance, but your food logging leaves much to be desired and is extremely frustrating. Finding things you eat is like pulling teeth, takes forever and then isn’t accurate a calorie or nutritional information, forcing the user to have to figure it out. Very unnecessary and makes me not want to use the app at all. Honestly, it seems that whoever designed and updates the food logging does not live in the same universe as the people who actually need and use the app.

1. It is like pulling teeth to find common items. Example: milk…you have to scroll down to find basic 2% milk. Here’s a hint. The vast majority of people go to the grocery store and buy either whole, 2%, 1% or skim milk…those should be at the top of your list when someone types “milk”, not some 3.4% organic something or other…

2. Basic menu items at restaurants.
Example:Chili’s baby back ribs…it’s the most popular item on arguably one of the most popular chains in the country, but nowhere to be found on your app.

This app has been out for a long time and with the tools available There is really no excuse for this feature not being better than it is.

### 3/5 — Great Enhancement for food selection, can I have Fav’s?

*2026-02-13, version 9.3.0*

I appreciate the enhancements! Could I now get the ability to save my favorites for the foods that I frequently select with saved measurements? Thank you!

### 3/5 — No Apple Health Sync

*2025-12-16, version 9.2.1*

App works fine, but does not sync blood pressure with Apple Health which should be basic functionality in a modern health app.

### 2/5 — Livongo app

*2025-12-14, version 9.2.1*

The app was working just fine before the update now that it has been update. I can no longer use the app.

### 2/5 — Not updating

*2025-12-13, version 9.2.1*

I pushed the button to update the app but it wouldn’t update.

### 1/5 — Can’t update app

*2025-12-13, version 9.2.1*

No updates for app and app will not open

### 1/5 — Oh no!

*2025-12-13, version 9.2.1*

My update isn’t working. Now I’m afraid I’ve lost my data.

### 1/5 — Don’t update

*2025-12-13, version 9.2.1*

The app told me to update to the newer version. I did. And now it doesn’t work. I restarted my phone and it keeps sending me back to the App Store.

### 2/5 — Blood pressure monitor: can’t remove erroneous readings in app.

*2025-11-26, version 9.2.0*

I like the ease of use and automate update to the iphone app. Sometimes it has trouble connecting. BUT, another family member started using the device and I found there’s no way to delete their readings so I get a proper log of my history. I gave this a 2 star rating considering ease of use would have been 4 stars and lack of use within the app would have been a 1 star.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t synch weight

*2025-11-14, version 9.2.0*

What’s the point if having a smart scale that syncs to an app but nowhere else. The app does not share the weight information with the Apple Health app, only shares steps. Useless.

### 1/5 — Cannot reset password

*2025-10-28, version 9.1.1*

The app wouldn’t take my password, so I tried to reset it. Never got the email with the reset link. Called in for support. They’ll contact me by email, something I’m having difficulties receiving from them. Don’t have much hope this is going to resolved.

### 1/5 — Does not sync with Apple Health

*2025-08-05, version 9.1.1*

I was excited to receive this benefit from my insurance company, I keep my health information in Apple Health and this scale says it will sync. I’ve followed all the steps to connect. The only thing it syncs is steps. I already use Apple for that. Please fix this issue.

### 1/5 — Can’t login and gave up

*2025-05-15, version 9.1.1*

I had been using the app without issue and now can’t login. Keeps telling me password wrong when it’s 100% correct then locks me out and process repeats itself.

### 2/5 — Does not sync with Apple Health or other apps.

*2025-05-01, version 9.1.1*

I was excited for this benefit for my health insurance and the new Bluetooth scale. I like how I can stand on it and then forget about my weight immediately after because it automatically syncs with the Livongo app however, I like to use different apps for meal tracking, and I like to keep all of my data in one place, which Apple Health currently has, but even though this app is supposed to sync with Apple health, it only syncs to receive step data from Apple health and does not actually send any weight data to Apple Health. I wish that this could be turned on. It would be a much appreciated feature.

### 1/5 — Stopped documenting

*2025-04-02, version 9.0.2*

App stopped working after 1 month of usage. No updates just won’t allow me to add or remove my daily updates

### 1/5 — Can’t seem to log food

*2025-04-01, version 9.0.2*

App is glitchy. I have deleted and reloaded the app all to get error messages. This is frustrating. If this is for weight loss or health the problems I am having with the app negate any benefits. I am not making an appointment with a nutritionist without being able to log my food. Take it from this professional overweight woman. I know how to track my food. This is a lame app.

### 2/5 — Verification doesn’t work!

*2025-03-29, version 9.0.2*

Downloaded the app after creating an account online. When logging into the app, I receive a verification code text but when I return to the app I can’t enter the number!

*edit*
Managed to get the app working but so far am not completely satisfied. The glucose numbers on the Teladoc meter are consistently 20-30 points higher than my Dexcom sensor. I wouldn’t want to over treat the high and have it get too low.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unable to log in

*2026-06-07, version 9.3.1*

Have tried everything to log in. Got the email to reset my password and when I do that the app flashes and never opens. Now account is locked. Tried this over a year ago and gave up trying again now and still same thing. Will get me another way to track and check my glucose since this is impossible

### 1/5 — Useless Bugs

*2026-03-23, version 9.3.0*

It won’t even let me log in. Kind of pointless to sync to TelaDoc app when it keeps cycling me to login after putting in my credentials.

### 1/5 — Food logging feature is awful

*2026-03-05, version 9.3.0*

It is too hard to log a meal in this app. I have to find every ingredient, no option to build and save a meal or recipe. So if I can find and log the ingredients, I have to do it all over again if I eat the same thing the next day. It doesn’t even show recently tracked items. On top of this, the app constantly errors out when trying to log. Too buggy and difficult to work with. Other apps do this much better.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2026-02-20, version 9.3.0*

They couldn’t just leave it alone.

### 1/5 — Password Problems

*2025-12-17, version 9.2.1*

Like a lot of apps, change your password then try to use the app with the new password and it does not work locking you out after a few tries. So frustrating.

### 1/5 — App broken

*2025-12-14, version 9.2.1*

App tells me to update to latest and send me to app store where there is no update. Can not use the service at all

### 1/5 — Update not available

*2025-12-14, version 9.2.1*

Says to update but no update available for 17 pro max. Can’t get into the app.

### 1/5 — Won’t update on iPhone or iPad

*2025-12-14, version 9.2.1*

Was ok until it needed an update now it won’t update and I can’t use the application.

### 1/5 — Update not available

*2025-12-14, version 9.2.1*

The app ask to be updated, but there is no update can’t even use the app anymore. Deleted and reinstalled same issue

### 1/5 — Cannot access

*2025-12-14, version 9.2.1*

No longer able to access the app. It tells me I need to get the update, but when I go to the App Store there is no update available and sends me back to the app, which then tells me I need to update…

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2025-03-04, version 9.0.0*

Excellent app, very similar to Noom with the lessons on eating healthier, exercise and making better food choices. Easy to use, I’m really enjoying it

### 5/5 — Update app error message

*2025-02-20, version 9.0.0*

Starting last week, I began receiving an Update Livongo page when launching app. However when I go to App Store, there is no update available. I have to relaunch app several times in order to get into app to see my results.

### 5/5 — Update

*2025-02-16, version 9.0.0*

Seems to be working now

### 5/5 — Frustrating

*2025-02-14, version 9.0.0*

It wants me to constantly update the app I can never use it

### 5/5 — Reseña

*2025-02-13, version 9.0.0*

Excelente año

### 5/5 — Export BP data to  Health

*2024-08-15, version 8.11.0*

I want to export BP data to  Health, and I’d like to look at trends over several periods (month, quarter, year). Are there plans to offer this functionality?

### 5/5 — Great program

*2024-02-02, version 8.7.0*

My employer cover this program for employees health. I have been using for a year faithfully. Talking to the coach. Weighing daily. My blood pressure has went down from 127 / 80 on meds to now 108/72. I am going off my meds! I lost 35 pounds going from 18 to 13 pants. My blood sugar went from 108 to 84.! All of this without feeling deprived. I still eat bad things just not as much and balanced with better choices. Oh my cholesterol is down from 209 to 184!

Going to the doctor is getting less frightening!!!!)
I don’t wonder what expensive medication I will be taking now.

### 5/5 — This app will make a difference in my health

*2022-04-12*

Like many reviewers, I was not taking my blood sugar seriously enough. I got this device through a workplace benefit. Being able to take readings that sync immediately with Apple Health and the Livongo app has made me more aware about what, and how I eat.

If I didn’t have this meter, I’m sure I would have gone on ignoring my sugar levels and gotten sicker. Now I have control. I’ve also discovered how much exercise can help regulate my glucose level. I’ve learned a lot.

I use a different app to track my food as it provides more details . This app’s food tracker seems to be more a visual reminder of what you ate than one providing nutritional data.

As long as I continue doing my part with tracking my levels and eating/exercising accordingly I am confident I will avoid serious issues down the road. I also love how easy it is to order supplies.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2022-02-04, version 7.0.0*

Have hated being diabetic, all the logs, strips, changing meds, metformin, less more, insurance issues with this or that, it’s like a never ending battle and most meters are crap, expensive, strips are RIDICULOUS, 1/4 they don’t work, it’s a sham, and at $1/ strip nobody is takin their blood sugar as often as they’re suppose to. But this device makes it so much better, self guided, no need to keep a log book. Doesn’t require huge sample, strips come with it. I’m seriously impressed and love it. Now, I just wish I could remember where I put it.
