Done with doomscrolling. LLLock is the no distractions app that blocks your apps – and only unlocks them once you've learned vocabulary. Doomscroll no more. How LLLock works Choose the apps you want to block – Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X or any other app. Set your timeout screen – how long each app stays unlocked after a quiz. Then pick your notecards and the number of words per quiz. That's it. Whenever you try to open a blocked app, the vocabulary quiz appears. Solve it – and the app unlocks. Then the cycle starts again. 4 quiz modes, one goal Match pairs, first letter, spell the word or picture quiz – LLLock mixes question types and repeats words right before you'd forget them. Real srs flashcards powered by spaced repetition, so every word actually sticks. Memorizing without extra effort No pressure, no separate study grind. You learn automatically because you want to use your apps. Over time, hundreds of memorized vocabulary words stack up – and your streaks, study time and progress show up in your stats. Create notecards yourself – or let AI do it Create your own notecards directly in the app, let AI generate full card sets from any topic, or snap a photo of a vocabulary list – LLLock turns it into cards. Import from your favorite flashcard apps (all common formats supported) or download ready-made vocabulary lists by CEFR level (A1 to C2). With text-to-speech and AI images for your words on top. Learn any language while you scroll less LLLock works as a vocabulary trainer for any language. Learn Japanese with flashcards, tackle greek flashcards, start danish language learning, begin a polish language learning app journey or master the most common Spanish words. Irish language learning app users can import their own word lists too. Whatever language – LLLock makes it happen passively. Your timer, your rules Unlike a classic pomodoro timer app, LLLock doesn't just count down – it actively blocks distracting apps and forces a learning moment before you get back in. Choose real-time or usage-based timers, reduce screen time without going full minimalist phone, boost your concentration and end doomscrolling for good. A dopamine detox that never feels like punishment. Made for parents too With the optional parental PIN, your kid can block apps but can't remove them without you – including secure PIN recovery by email. For people who want to: * Do a dopamine detox without giving up their phone * End doomscrolling and reduce screen time * Use a no distractions app that actually works * Learn a language on the side – Japanese, Spanish, Polish, Danish, Greek and more * Boost focus and concentration in daily life * Replace mindless scrolling with memorizing vocabulary Your cards belong to you LLLock stores your notecards locally on your device – no account needed. Export them to Excel anytime. Start your first vocabulary quiz today. Your brain will thank you – your social media feed less so. Three things that make learning easier: Pronunciation — no more guessing at words in an unfamiliar script. Hold a solved word and you'll see how it sounds: «привет» becomes "priwjet", written in your own script, no phonetic symbols. Look first — if you like, LLLock shows you the round's words up front as cards you can flip. Take them in calmly, then start. It takes the sting out of the first word. Card level in the quiz — a word already sits, or turns out harder than you thought? You can change its level right in the round now, without switching over to your cards. Also: after every update, "What's new" briefly shows you what was added. Setup now explains why LLLock asks for notifications — they're your way from the lock screen into the quiz. And a crash in the support window is fixed; sorry about that one. Thanks for being here! ### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-31 Small update, big focus: under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes so blocking and quizzing run even smoother. Happy learning – and doomscroll no more! ### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-25 • New tutorial on iOS: takes you straight to app selection — including the notification permission, so returning from the block screen works right away • Unlocking is now per app: each app gets its own timer while the others stay blocked • Quiz: improved repeat rules • Fixed a crash in the tutorial • Lots of smaller design improvements and bug fixes ### 1.0 — 2026-08-20 No release notes. ## Apps similar to LLLock | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Flashcard Blocker–LearnScreen](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/flashcard-blockerlearnscreen/id6759922571) | 5.0 (4) | Free | Education | | [Lokia: Comprehensible Input](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/lokia-comprehensible-input/id6797521787) | — | Free | Education | | [Kaname: Japanese Grammar](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/kaname-japanese-grammar/id6801993668) | 5.0 (1) | Free | Education | | [LangLocker: Language Blocker](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/langlocker-language-blocker/id6767851572) | — | Free | Education | | [Speak Russian - NowFluency](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/speak-russian-nowfluency/id6770219995) | — | Free | Education | | [RuGrammar](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/rugrammar/id6748586217) | — | Free | Education | --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
