## What is Loam?

Build habits the calm way.

Loam is a private, on-device habit tracker with no accounts, no ads, and no data collection. Instead of streaks you can break, you tend a sprout — it grows a little each time you complete a habit. It only ever grows. Miss a day and nothing wilts; you simply tend it again when you're ready.

A SPROUT, NOT A STREAK
- Each habit you finish tends your sprout, and it grows leaf by leaf.
- No streak counter to defend, no flames, no "you broke it." Missing a day never resets anything.
- A gentle, forward-looking status — not yet, almost, tended — instead of grades or scores.

ON YOUR WRIST
- Tend a habit right from Apple Watch, and a complication keeps today one glance away.
- The watch stays in sync with your iPhone — device to device, no cloud and no account.
- Included free for everyone.

CHECKS ITSELF OFF
- Link a habit to Apple Health and it rests on its own when Health logs a match — steps, workouts, mindful minutes, or sleep.
- Health data is read-only and never leaves your device. Loam never writes to Apple Health.

LOOKING AHEAD
- A quiet, on-device forecast shows what might slip tomorrow and offers one gentle nudge.
- "Your rhythm" reveals the days you've been steadiest — calmly, with no heatmap or grade.
- Every prediction is computed on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere.

CALM REMINDERS
- Set a reminder time per habit; multi-completion habits get gently spaced nudges through the day.
- All notifications are local — no internet required.

WIDGETS
- A Lock Screen and Home Screen widget show today's progress at a glance.

PRIVACY IS THE POINT
- No accounts. No sign-up. No email.
- No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs.
- Everything is stored on your device with Apple's SwiftData. We literally cannot see your data.
- The only network activity is Apple's StoreKit, for an optional tip.

FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE
- Track up to five habits with everything above — no paywall, no ads.
- If Loam helps you, you can leave an optional one-time tip ($1.99, $4.99, or $9.99) to support development. Tips don't unlock anything.

Built by one developer who believes habit tracking should be calm, private, and free.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.1 — 2026-07-06

Habitra is now Loam — a calmer, more private way to build habits — and it now comes to Apple Watch.

A NEW MODEL: Streaks, XP, levels, and badges are gone. Instead, you tend a sprout that grows a little each time you complete a habit. It only grows; missing a day never resets it. No more pressure to defend a number.

ON YOUR WRIST: Tend a habit right from Apple Watch, with a complication that keeps today one glance away. It stays in sync with your iPhone — device to device, no cloud.

CHECKS ITSELF OFF: Apple Health auto-complete — link a habit and it rests on its own when Health logs a match.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Stats tab is now "Ahead" — a quiet, on-device forecast of what might slip tomorrow and one gentle nudge. No scores, no grades, no heatmap.

A CALMER LOOK: A warm "soil & slate" design, a new name and app icon, and a sprout that grows as you tend your habits.

Same promise as always: no accounts, nothing leaves your device.

### 2.0 — 2026-05-06

Version 1.0.2 — Apple Health fixes & polish

This update fixes the Apple Health integration and cleans up a few rough edges from the v1.0 launch.

What's fixed
• Apple Health auto-complete now works. If you link a habit to workouts, mindful minutes, sleep, or steps, Habitra will ask for Health permission the first time you set it up — and your habit will tick automatically once the day's totals meet your goal.
• Connect Apple Health from Settings. A new "Connect Apple Health" row in Settings lets you grant or re-grant permission whenever you want. Already connected? You'll see your connection status there as before.
• Welcome tour fix. On iPhone, the "Skip Tour" button no longer hides behind the home indicator.

What's improved
• Cleaner note sheet. When you complete a habit, the Save and Skip buttons are now compact icons side-by-side — less clutter, same one-tap flow.
• Clearer label on the habit form. The "Reminder" section is now called "Notification" to better match what the toggle actually does.

Reminder: Habitra is 100% private. All your data stays on your device — no accounts, no cloud, no tracking.
