### 5/5 — Get it !

*2012-06-27, version 3.2*

### 4/5 — Love it… but please make Weekly Repayment option.

*2012-06-21, version 3.2*

Ignore the screenshots, the app is in dollars, not pounds. Its a nice, easy to read simple app that does what I want it to do. Would be nice to see a iMac version that synced up, but i don't think that will happen anytime soon. Really wish it had a repayment option for Weekly and Fortnightly, currently it is only monthly.

### 4/5 — Pretty good app!

*2012-06-03*

This app has the basic needed features of amortizing a loan, offering an amortization table, calculating early payoffs with extra payments (monthly and annually extra payments), and showing the remaining loan balance with each payment. It also shows the total amount paid in principal and interest at the end of the loan which helps to compare which loan will cost more over the life of the loan. That helped me determine whether a lower interest rate would save me money. These features are what I needed to analyze my options for refinancing and paying off my loan early. Recommended additions would be to show cumulative interest paid and 'to date' interest paid (at year 5, total interest paid to date is $23,000). Also, maybe add year number in the amortization table-right now the amortization table shows the payment amount by number of payments instead of the number of year and months the loan has been outstanding. Overall very useful app!

### 4/5 — Great app but......

*2012-05-31, version 3.2*

Needs weekly and bi-weekly payment options. I like the pass code option.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Has potential

*2022-07-13*

This app has great potential but falls short. It’s like the developer got 75% through development and decided to publish the app. The numbers are in the ball park without the principal payment. Doesn’t include any PMI options.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2011-12-04, version 3.2*

There is no down payment !

### 1/5 — Needs a lot more improvements

*2010-10-02, version 0*

Where's the option for bi-weekly payments?

### 1/5 — Little disappointed

*2010-03-02, version 0*

Since it let's you save the loans, it should let you add pmi insurance and other escro right to the loan. Also being able to set up different styles of loans would be nice too, ex. Balloons, or loans where you make bi-monthly payments rather than monthly. If there were a lite version of this available I would have known this ahead of time and not purchased, this is the reason for the one star.

### 1/5 — Doesn't calculate properly

*2010-01-05, version 0*

Calculations are not indicating correctly. I have entered the loan information correctly but the app information does not reflect the proper amounts from my bank statements.

### 1/5 — Still has a long way to go!

*2009-09-12, version 0*

Available for free currently so thought I'd download it as I was in the mkt for a good loan/mtge calculator. Does this help? To a degree but there are a number of issues, namely:

1) no option to enter additional payments in stages or at various points during the year, rather than 1 block payment or series of payments over the whole year
2) an option to allow an overpayment of X% rather than an amount, as a number of lenders allow a % of the loan to be repaid without charges
3) different types of loan/mtge, ie interest only, fixed rate, repayment etc...
4) option to miss payments, ie pay mth 1 - 5 then miss 1 or 2 months then continue paying, no option to then 1st input this option and 2nd no calculations of what the additional monthly's would be to get back on-track or if not then what will be the extra interest payable
5) an option to allow variable additional payments to be made rather than just 1 amount, also if the payment was done at the start of the year or at any other time during the yr this s/ware would NOT be able to calculate correctly
as it only allows you to input 1 payment made during the year but does not specify the payment date!
6) no option to allow you to input the start date of mtge/loan and when the 1st payments will be made, in most cases a loan would be taken out at anytime during the mth and the 1st payment would be the 1st day of the following mth or 30 days later. can't handle this at all!

Due to the huge number of omissions i have marked/rated it accordingly, once this has been updated or corrected in any future updates, i will revise my review!

I am going to have a play with the s/ware to compare the accuracy of the data with a "proper" pc based mtge calculator, I will compare and come back to review further, unfortunately if the accuracy isn't there i can't rate this as a 0 star item!!!

Just tested it from home and found that the loan calculations are spot-on! The previous reviewer mentioned you cannot rely upon the figures but that is not the case any longer, they were reviewing 1.6 and SVT must've taken his comments on-board as the calc'ns are correct now. I have no idea if they were right/wrong before however.

But found a few more issues:

1) loan amount cannot be in pence even though on the screen it shows as £XX.XX - why have a pence section when you cannot place a decimal place?
2) cannot have fractions of a month as the payment period, on occasions loans are not for the full 12 yrs & 6 months they're for 12 yrs, 6 months & 10 days say, cannot input the fraction

that is about all, as the calc'ns are correct i am increasing my rating from 1* which i had earlier today to 2* as the app'n is free also. if the developers bring in the other options and sort out the issues i am sure this will be a 4 or 5* appn and i will rate accordingly at that time.

Just downloaded the latest version 1.8 - have the developers listened to any of the reviewers??? NO is the simple answer, NONE of the points i mentioned above have been fixed, nor other comments other reviewers have said, i've now reduced my rating to 1* due to lack of support from the developers

### 1/5 — Decent enough, not great

*2009-08-14, version 0*

Does standard ammortization calculation, but nothing special. If it had the ability to specify additional payments on a month by month basis and recalculate then it might be useful. I don't add $100 to my payment eah month. Sometimes I add $2000, other times $200, other times nothing. My spreadsheet will still be my main loan calculator until I find an app that let's me track my loan like this.

### 1/5 — Does what it says

*2009-06-18, version 0*

Does what it says. But would be nice to have option of other types of loans repayments, like capital repayment or interest only. Moreover, an option overpayment by a percentage of remaining loan is also essential.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate

*2009-06-08, version 0*

Having tried this application, I am afraid it produces inaccurate calculations. As a financial adviser, I also use software that calculates repayment mortgages, but thought this would be good as a quick guide when talking to clients. Sadly I cannot and the app is effectively useless. I thought initially that the problem might be related to whether interest is calculated daily or yearly, but the discrepancies on the mortgages I have compared is too great for that to be the answer. I will be asking for a refund.

### 2/5 — BJ

*2025-09-14*

Payment field should be editable and number of payments field should be available. I bought this app because AI search said it could address biweekly payments but this is not the case, so this app doesn’t really suit my needs.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-02-26*

Super easy to learn this app and track the progress of loan payoff. It’s a perfect loan calculator with all the basic stuff you need without getting too fancy or bombarding you with ads. The app doesn’t try to influence you to borrow more money like every other platform either. It just makes it easy. You can see how additional principal payments will affect your total interest payed and how many days/years it would shorten the loan. And you can save multiple loans. I’ve been using it since I bought my house and I friggin love how simple it is. It’s great for seeing how a different interest rate will impact your payments, etc. I know there are more capable apps out there but in my reality they’re all overkill. I’m sticking with this one.

### 5/5 — Soooo reliable

*2025-07-03*

Used this for years- it’s easy to use, always works, so reliable, easy interface, not complicated like so many other calculators. LOVE this. Great job!!

### 5/5 — Boss man

*2025-05-29*

Love this!

### 5/5 — Used quite often

*2023-11-04*

Very handy little app… highly recommend!
One flaw… would love to be able to factors like fees/MPI, etc. It’s a little difficult to (accurately) calculate when a payoff is (especially mid-loan) when I can’t include fees, etc.

### 5/5 — Possible update?

*2022-07-08*

Is it possible make a change that would allow one to input extra payments at any time, not just on the same date each month? I ask as I have tracked a mortgage for years with this app, and would like to be able to see the impact of making extra payments since I typically end up making them at random times throughout the month based upon my income.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2022-04-16, version 5.2*

This has got be the most simple n best app
Which I use daily to calculate my borrowing
And absolutely free thanks guys for your hard work
JJay

### 5/5 — Great App!!!!!

*2020-07-31*

I love this simple yet powerful tool! I use it almost daily.

### 5/5 — Best Loan App

*2020-01-15*

Use this app all the time and love it!

### 5/5 — Reliable and easy to use

*2020-01-15*

I’ve been using this app for at least the last 8 years. I work in the mortgage industry and even with the abundance of calculators my company provides, I find myself using this one almost every day.

When speaking with members, especially when discussing debt reduction techniques, this app is my go-to. Although many times I do use it in conjunction with other calculators on my computer, depending on the conversation, this one gives me the specific info I’m looking for.

Again, very simple to use and I recommend this app. Especially if you want an easy way to figure out how much extra you would need to pay towards the principle of a loan on a monthly or annual basis to pay it off early. AND to get an idea of how much interest you would save.

I was sending the info on this app to a member and noticed it only had 4 reviews and wanted to add my thoughts and appreciation regarding its reliability.

### 5/5 — Отличный калькулятор

*2019-04-23, version 5.0*

Давно пользуюсь. Много раз помогло это приложение, жуликов из кредитных организаций, на чистую воду вывести! Рекомендую.
