Also, it is hit and miss whether it take input when setting parameters. I wouldn’t call this a “professional” loan calculator, but it does what is needed when needing to check a quick payment (I’m a loan officer at a bank). The developer could add features such as a comparison model where you compare different interest rates and amounts to each other to get a determination of what a better option might be. It would be VERY helpful if you could choose the terms in the form of something other than years. What if I want to figure based on 22 months or 23 months? This option is not readily available. Also if I could ask, please add a “done” option to the keypad to help it disappear. This would make checking results easier, as there isn’t much room to tap outside and cause it to go away. Overall, not a bad app, and I do regularly use it. ### 2/5 — Disruptive ads *2025-09-08, version 5.0* I understand that you need to make money and if i don’t want ads, then i need to pay. But the most recent update makes an ad pop up every.. single.. time I hit “calculate” and they’re excessively long as well. The ads are so disruptive that I can’t tell if it recalculated the payment after I change the rate and term, so I hit calculate again to make sure and it just prompts another ad instead of confirming the results. ### 2/5 — New update is terrible *2025-09-01, version 5.0* I paid to upgrade to professional for iOS. Ever since they did their update it will show the results but with the digits to enter numbers at the bottom (does nothing other than cover info). I have to then hard reset app to enter new data for another term. Even worse, the Loan app crashes. Save function works but the export and email functions do not. If you make a loan with annual payments the first payment should be due in a year not the same month you make the loan. No one sets loans up that way. ### 2/5 — Used to be my favorite *2023-11-03, version 4.2* I used to love this app. Then they decided to add in the pop up ads some with sound that comes on even if you do not want. Now it is less useful than others. When something comes out and works and the the devs decide to change it to ask for money by making it work worse or more obnoxiously, it is akin to blackmail. I cannot edit the loan term rate in months, instead it only does years. I also had a couple of questions for the developers and they were quick (within an hour) with an answer. Very impressive.
