## What is Loanest?

Loanest is a private tracker for the things and money that move between people.

Use it to remember what you lent, what you borrowed, who has it, when it is due, and what still needs to be settled. Loanest keeps everything on device with no account, no ads, no analytics, and no automatic messaging.

Loanest helps you:

- Track items you lent out or borrowed
- Add due dates, notes, categories, optional phone numbers, and optional photos
- Record money loans and partial repayments
- See outstanding balances by person
- Share a local statement or loan PDF
- Export your records as CSV
- Pick a gentle, friendly, or firm reminder tone before opening Messages
- See overdue aging, return rate, categories, and money outstanding
- Use the new Follow-up Plan to rank person-level next actions

New in 2.1, Follow-up Plan groups open loans by person and suggests the next action based on overdue status, days outstanding, due-soon timing, and open money balances. It is designed to help you stay organized without sending anything automatically.

Loanest is a recordkeeping tool only. It does not move money, collect payments, offer loans, or provide financial or legal advice.

Loanest 2.0 — a pro upgrade for getting your money (and stuff) back, still private and 100% offline.

• Overdue aging dashboard: Current / 1–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+ buckets so you see what's slipping.
• Debt simplification: the fewest payments to settle everyone up, conserving every cent.
• Manual multi-currency: set a fixed rate per loan (never fetched) and see net balances in your home currency.
• Compound-interest option with a "payoff today" line.
• Settle-up flow with payment-method tags (cash, transfer, and more) right from each balance.
• Tone-selectable nudges (gentle, friendly, firm).
• Per-person statement export as text or a branded PDF — the offline way to show someone what they owe.

No account, no network, no money movement — everything stays on your device.

Introducing the Settlement Ledger — track partial repayments with a live outstanding-balance progress bar, optional simple interest, and a one-tap net settle-up across everyone you lend to. Every figure rounds to the cent, with a reminder-hour setting, CSV export, and a full accessibility pass.

Loanest 1.3 — PDF loan cards, activity timeline, persistent daily routine.

Share as PDF — tap "Share as PDF" on any loan detail to get a clean one-page loan card: item, person, all dates, status, notes, and the full activity log. Share via Messages, Mail, or AirDrop. Useful as a plain-English IOU receipt. Fully offline.

Activity Timeline — every loan now keeps a chronological log of what happened to it: when it was recorded, when a due date was added or changed, when it was marked returned, and when it was re-opened. Visible on the detail screen and included in the PDF.

Persistent Daily Routine — the Payback Board's daily habit checklist now remembers your progress through the day and resets automatically each morning, so you never start the day with stale checks.
