This is a fantastic app on my iPhone Pro Max. Unfortunately it’s unusable on my iPad Pro. It consistently has a bubble that says downloading model, but this never happens and there’s an intrusive window that sits on top of the input bar. Am I doing something wrong or is this not made for iPad?

So this is an image generation thing has a local model? If so, why the upfront censorship? This thing is stunted and lame, and yes, highly censorious. Inhuman even.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had such a bad experience. That’s definitely not what we want PhoneDiffusion to feel like.

We’ve been shipping fixes around model loading, first generation, crashes and device compatibility. Please update to the latest version and try again. If it still doesn’t work well, send us your iPhone model, iOS version and what happened - we’ll look into it directly.

I was wondering why it didn’t show any response on generate. Killed and restarted it worked, would be good to check why first load didn’t show anything good to show loading into vram or some info on crash. Once got past that worked great

**Developer response:** Thanks a lot for the thoughtful review and you’re completely right. The first local model load can sometimes take longer and the app should make it much clearer that it is warming up/loading instead of looking like nothing is happening.

We’ve been improving the first-load experience, loading states and stability around generation. Please update to the latest version and if you ever hit this again, send us your iPhone model and iOS version so we can investigate it properly.

Fast as hell, tiny models, pretty much the best local so image generator out there on iOS. Only issues are gatekeeping 18+ and image editing would be peak, but still a 5 star app
