The reason for 1 star is that the app is completely unusable on an iPad - it displays a dialog saying that it requires at least 8GB of RAM to execute. iPad Pro M2 has exactly 8GB, so this is probably a bug. With the Llama 3 8B model you get a GPT-4 class AI right on your phone. I’m a software developer and a law student. I have extremely high expectations from AI apps and this app ticks all the boxes. I would ask one feature from the dev and that is the ability to load my own custom models and finetunes. It seems to be using llama.cpp on the backend so a simple “open file dialog” letting me point it to my own .gguf files would make this app absolutely perfect. Thank you developer! This is the best AI app on the App Store! ### 4/5 — Great for a start point. *2025-02-02, version 1.8* Using this on inferior hardware of iPhone 13 Pro limited model can run. It does make stuff up. It cannot take a follow-up question. Just repeats. Have to re ask each time. But a lot of info jammed in. Having a hard limit on the number of generated tokens would be helpful as models tend to ramble and circle the same tokens over and over ### 4/5 — Requirements not listed *2024-02-22, version 1.0* Requires 8GB of RAM, so only limited to iPhone 15 pro. ### 3/5 — Runs smoothly, doesn’t persist chats *2025-01-05* The app is beautifully made, has a clear and self-explanatory interface for downloading models, including which can be downloaded and run (which might be supported by the app on another device) and which is active for next chat. However I’m frustrated that, the relatively cheap, in storage, and personal, in my use, aspect of the app, transcripts…are not saved. Only a few recent transcripts are available. And no explanation ahead of time nor afterwards is available on close inspection. Beautiful, but missing, for now, a key part of the point. Shortcut integration, as another suggests, would be amazing. I would also love to donate directly, or link to/see other work, not just apps. <3 ### 2/5 — Simple UI *2024-12-04, version 1.2* The Simple UI is a good thing. Shame it uses the iPhone vibrate on every word it writes from the model. ### 2/5 — iPhone 16 Pro Max not supported? *2024-09-22* The app claims it only supports phones with 8GB of memory. Fair.
