## What is LocalGateKeys?

LocalGateKeys keeps your passwords in an encrypted vault on your iPhone. There's no account to create and no server of ours to trust: your vault is encrypted on the device and unlocked with Face ID or Touch ID.

FILL IN SECONDS
• AutoFill your logins in Safari and other apps, with suggestions in the QuickType bar
• Use LocalGateKeys for passkeys
• Safari offers to save a new login after you sign in

TWO-FACTOR CODES BUILT IN
• One-time codes right next to the login they belong to
• Scan a website's 2FA QR code to add one
• Codes copy with a tap and stay copied while you switch apps to paste them

MORE THAN PASSWORDS
• Cards, notes, identities, bank accounts, Wi-Fi, licences, API keys, SSH keys, subscriptions, warranties and more
• A password generator with a strength meter
• Fast search across everything

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Data Not Collected: no analytics, no tracking, no ads
• Auto-lock, a clipboard that clears itself, and a privacy cover in the app switcher
• Optional encrypted sync with LocalGateKeys for Windows, over your own Wi-Fi or through your own cloud folder

## Pricing and in-app purchases

Base price: Free.

**One-time purchases**

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-29

New in 1.0.1:

• Import from Apple Passwords: in the Passwords app choose Export Data to Another App › LocalGateKeys (iOS 26). Logins, 2FA codes and passkeys come across, and importing again adds nothing twice.
• Import & Export in Settings: export an encrypted backup (.lgkm) you can restore in the Windows, Mac or Android app, or export a CSV.
• Scan 2FA QR codes with the camera or from a photo or screenshot.
• Bring over your Google Authenticator accounts: scan its export codes (multi-part exports too); keys go to matching logins and the rest become secure notes.
• LocalGateKeys asks before replacing an existing 2FA code.
• Filter chips on the Vault screen to show logins, cards, notes and more.
• Sync now says how many items it updated.
• Fixes and improvements to AutoFill, the Safari extension, sync and Pro licences.
