The android version of this app is exactly what I wanted. Sadly, the iOS version is extremely lacking. Android version: lists all beacons advertising in range. iOS version: add beacon info under settings to locate.

It is impossible to save and then re-broadcast a beacon. Instead the UUID must be entered *each time* the app is opened. This app is useless for beacon cloning or broadcasting.

I am unable to see iBeacons when scanning. I tested advertising from another iPhone with the same Locate app and from the RadBeacon E4 with no luck.

Tried with iPhone XS and 11 Pro Max.

It looks like exactly what I want but if you edit a beacon, the keyboard pops up and gets in the way which defeats the purpose. It would be great if they fixed it so the view would scroll up when the keyboard pops up.

Works great on a scruffy iPhone 5 running IOS 12.
There seems to be a bug in that you can’t return to the ‘advertising’ screen after you have left it. The solution is to close and re-open the app.

Very helpful app if you even half understand what it’s for. It’s a shame there are negative reviews by some obviously ignorant people

Saw the previous review and thought it would be a good idea to review this myself. This is a useful app for developers who want to test iBeacons. I used it and it works. It's a lot easier and cheaper to simulate beacons with this than it would be to order some. I guess it might be neat to use at a store since it can scan anything so you could find random beacons intended for specific apps. Overall it works, UI isn't great but it's at least useful.

Freezes if Bluetooth is not already turned on - with turn Bluetooth message stuck even when you press OK.

Generally very sluggish.

As a comment, the interface is very dull and old fashioned looking. A sharper look and interface design could make this more user friendly too.
