## What is Location Log?

Location Log is made for people that like to know exactly where they were at any past point in time, but who also value their privacy and want to be able to achieve this without having to share all their data with anyone (not even the app developer).

Once installed, Location Log continuously and accurately tracks your location in the background throughout each day, ensuring that your location data is held locally on your device, and available only to you - not shared.

No sign-up or login is required, because the location data is held privately and locally on your device.

The app has been specifically designed in a unique way to optimise battery usage, despite continuously and accurately tracking your location throughout each day in the background.

• History function: to view your movements on any date (also useful to help determine the time you arrived and left any specific location, say, to calculate how long a visit lasted for).

• Distance calculator: to calculate approximate distance travelled between selected times of a day, useful for mileage estimations.

• Search function allows you to search any region to reveal all historic dates that you visited that area.

• Delete, import, and export functions are available, so you have complete control of your data.

• ON/OFF toggle allows you to start/stop logging your location.

• Logging Frequency: Provides options for the frequency of logging.

• Backing up your device is advised to keep a backup of your Location History data (for example when when replacing your handset). You can also manually export your location history using the 'export' function, and use the 'import' feature to import it back in as well.

Just wanted to say what a great app. It’s been excellent to help me with my work hours. One suggestion that I think would be a massive improvement as if you could add subtle directional arrows every 20 or 30 m so that you can more easily follow your trajectory. I hope that helps and I really hope that you might implement this suggestion. Thanks again for this fantastic app.

I agree, it’s a great app. And I’ll be the third one to say “does what it says on the tin”… only one request, can we have the option to have a different marker than a “pin”, maybe a tracking overlay with no pin? The map pins blot out the detail on the map when zoomed out. But a GREAT app 👍

Great app I love the purpose behind it and appreciate the work of the developer to give people a useful tool without any ulterior motive. I think it would be nice if there was a 12 hour format option. I also think it would be great if there was an option to make the log encrypted from the user Where they can't delete certain logs and give a little more validity in informal situations.

When set to always use location it use the location all the time even when im not moving for hours which wastes more battery and battery saver option is extremely in accurate compared to google.

Works great!  Support is phenomenal. Privacy is terrific. Love the way you can select a date and it instantly shows you where you were. The area search is great yo determine the last or many times you have been in a particular area.
