## What is Lock n' Learn?

Lock N' Learn (鎖上學) is a parent-installed iPhone and iPad app. After the child unlocks the device as usual, selected apps stay shielded until they write a Chinese character from 注音.

WHAT IS FREE
• The first 54 characters
• Write-to-unlock until 100 points
• The parent can turn the shield off at any time without paying

WHAT REQUIRES A SUBSCRIPTION
Auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription:
• Extra characters (Taiwan elementary grades 1–6 set)
• Completely Block — those apps stay closed until a parent turns this off. Writing will not open them.

This app does not replace the iOS lock screen. Phone and Emergency SOS stay available. Apple can re-lock shielded apps no sooner than 15 minutes.

No account. No ads. A parent PIN protects settings.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-03

After free write-to-unlock pauses, open Lock N' Learn from its icon and enter the parent PIN to turn the shield off or delete the app. Pressing Start on a locked app still shows the subscription screen.

From level 29, about one unlock in four asks for a short phrase made only of characters the user has already learned. The other unlocks stay one character. If the phrase is missed, the app asks for one character they already know, so it can still open.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-01
