## What is LockContacts?

LockContacts is a private contact manager with its own app-only address book, separate from iOS Contacts.
Contacts saved in LockContacts are not written to your iPhone address book, so apps that read iOS Contacts cannot see them.

Use it for people you want to keep organized without mixing them into your system contacts.

What you can do:
- Add contacts manually, copy selected entries from iOS Contacts, or import CSV, XLSX, DOCX, PDF, and VCF files
- Match file columns so names, phone numbers, emails, companies, and groups go into the right fields
- Scan business cards with the camera and save names, phone numbers, and emails
- Put one person in multiple groups with nested tags such as #Work/Dev
- Pin important people and find anyone quickly
- Keep notes and meeting notes with attendees, date, location, and formatted text
- Add meetings to iPhone Calendar or export them as .ics files
- Get birthday reminders, call, text, email, and open addresses in a map app
- Merge duplicate contacts
- Lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID after 30 seconds in the background
- Turn on iCloud Sync when you want your contacts and meetings in your own iCloud account
- Export your data as vCard or CSV

LockContacts supports 9 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, Spanish, Italian, and Turkish.

Free and LockContacts Pro:
Use every feature for free with up to 5 contacts and ads. LockContacts Pro is a monthly or annual subscription for unlimited contacts and no ads. The annual plan includes a 2-week free trial. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

No sign-up is required. Your data stays on your device, and in your own iCloud account only if you turn on iCloud Sync.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-16

Locketbook is now LockContacts: your own contacts, kept behind a lock. Your saved contacts and settings stay as they are.
Updated for iOS 27.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-09

Scroll down a contact and its name now stays at the top. The spacing under the status bar is tidier too.
If one of your devices still runs version 1.0, the list now reminds you to update it.
Fixed the + button overlapping the bottom of the screen when you have no contacts.
Added Spanish and Italian names for the meeting-note formatting tools, plus other small fixes.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-09

iCloud sync has been rebuilt. Edits to different details on different devices are all kept, and deleted contacts and meetings no longer come back.
Contact photos and meeting recordings now sync, and changes from your other devices arrive faster. Tutorial sample contacts stay on each device, so they are no longer duplicated.
If you used sync in 1.0, it continues automatically with your data intact. Please update your other devices too.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-08
