## What is LockIn?

The lock actually locks.

LockIn blocks the apps you choose — and the only way back in is the key YOU
picked. Not a toggle you can flip off. A real key:

• An NFC tag stuck on your fridge, your desk, your gym locker
• A QR code in your wallet (or the barcode on your gym pass)
• Your fitness goal — close your rings, hit your steps, earn your apps back
• A person you trust who approves early exits
• A timer or weekly schedule that holds until it's done
• Or plain one-tap blocking when you just need a nudge

Every focus session builds something: your Realm — an island that grows
piece by piece with every session you finish. Miss a day and it weathers.
Keep showing up and it becomes somewhere you don't want to burn down.

WHY IT WORKS
LockIn is a commitment device. The friction is the feature: when quitting
means walking to the fridge to scan a tag, you mostly don't quit.

• Smart Breaks — pause for a few minutes without ending the session;
blocking resumes automatically, even if you force-quit the app
• Strict Mode — apps stay blocked even if you try to delete LockIn
• 3 emergency unlocks per month. Genuine emergencies only. That's the point.
• Weekly schedules that arm themselves — even when the app is closed
• Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
• Siri & Shortcuts: "Start LockIn" from your Action Button

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your app selections, health data, and location never leave your iPhone.
No accounts. No analytics. No ads. (Full policy inside the app.)

Lock in. Build your realm.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-20

Rewards: lock in 10 hours in a week or 40 in a month, then pick a real reward at a Toronto shop - a free chai, a discount, a side. Show it at the counter; nothing to scan.

Sign in when you're ready: Apple or an email link. Skippable during setup, needed only to claim.

Setting up a focus mode: choose apps from a full-screen list and see exactly what's held before you go on.

Turn a fitness exit on or off on any mode from its settings.

Plus names and icons on every held-app list, a steadier session screen, and Terms of Use at sign-in.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-02

See what you're holding: the session screen now shows the apps you've locked, with the full list one tap away.

Know your key: NFC tag, QR code, timer, partner, or location — the session screen shows exactly how this session unlocks, including your live distance from a saved place.

Today's plan: Home shows what will lock automatically today — your schedules and arrival locations.

Earn your realm: every piece now has a real requirement. Foundations rise with each session until you've earned the build — starting with 5 sessions of 2h+ for your first cottage.

Plus a cleaner Home with a clearer Start button and a proper New focus mode button.
