## What is Locul Meu?

Locul Meu ("my place" in Romanian) is a clear, no-nonsense GPS dashboard for hikers, travellers and anyone who wants to know exactly where they are.

POSITION
• Precise coordinates in decimal degrees and degrees/minutes/seconds
• Tap to copy your coordinates and share them with anyone
• Accuracy shown in real time, so you know how much to trust the fix

ON THE MOVE
• Speed, with its accuracy
• GPS altitude above sea level, plus barometric altitude on supported iPhones
• Compass heading and direction of travel, with a live compass dial
• Air pressure from the built-in barometer, and how much you've climbed since opening the app

MAPS FOR THE OUTDOORS
• Topographic map with contour lines, hill shading, peaks and marked hiking trails
• OpenTopoMap as an alternative topographic map
• Apple Maps standard and satellite views with 3D terrain
• Areas you've viewed are saved on your iPhone, so the topographic map keeps working where there's no signal

SIGNAL & FIX
• See how good your GPS fix is: quality badge, horizontal and vertical accuracy, update rate and time to first fix
• An estimate of what's providing your position – satellites, Wi-Fi or cell towers
• "About GNSS" explains which satellite systems your iPhone uses (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC) and how to get the best fix

AND MORE
• Flashlight button right on the map
* Weather information from OpenWeatherMap
• Metric and imperial units
• Light and dark mode, portrait and landscape, iPhone and iPad
• Available in 21 languages

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your location never leaves your device – only the map images you look at are downloaded.
