### 5/5 — The real deal

*2026-08-11*

I never write app reviews. This is the real deal. I have tried at least 30 different task management apps over the last five years, abandoning each within a few months. This app is absolutely fantastic.

It has the flexibility and depth of OmniFocus without the clunkiness. It’s got the filter layering of Todoist. It’s intuitive and organized. It’s not perfect yet, but that’s where you’ll notice the real difference between this and every other app: the next-level commitment and responsiveness of the developers.

They have replied to every single feedback or bug message I’ve sent, usually overnight. I’m not kidding — I will often wake up to an update in response to a feature I requested the night before.

This app isn’t perfect, but it’s damn close and getting better every day.

### 3/5 — Promising, but still early

*2026-06-29*

I imported my Things 3 database according to the instructions in the app (unfortunately repeating tasks cannot be migrated), and ever since then, opening and navigating through the app has been extremely slow.

I don’t really want to use Locus until this is improved. Not sure if starting from scratch is a better idea. I don’t want to manually enter a ton of tasks just for the app to slow down again.

Other than that, I think this will be a great competitor to Things, OmniFocus, etc.

**Developer response:** I am very sorry you encountered this issue. Unfortunately, we cannot determine the cause from the code at this time.

I understand this may involve your privacy, but if you are willing, you can send a backup of your Things 3 database or your Locus backup data to our email address locusgtd@gmail.com. We will make sure to address the problem as quickly as possible.

### 5/5 — This Will Be The New Productivity Giant

*2026-06-18*

I’ve been using this app for 7 days now and I have to state: as a long time Things 3, OmniFocus, and Todoist user, this app in its initial stage has the perfect taste of aesthetic and power. Right from download.

Once the Mac and iPad version releases, this can easily become the best GTD solution on the market. If you are a GTD purest it’s perfect, if your productivity is based or any variant of GTD, this will work for you. I hope the devs can release a website or link with upcoming goals for this tool because it will be a major contender very soon.

### 5/5 — Great start to an app that’s desperately needed

*2026-06-11*

I’ve used David Allen’s GTD system for 20 years, and I’ve always looked for an app that would allow me to implement GTD in its purest form. Meaning, without having to disable Pomodoro timers, time blocking, etc. Things 3 has served me well but it’s getting very dated and doesn’t handle complex projects. I tried OmniFocus Pro for a year until they ruined the interface trying to adopt Liquid Glass (still not fixed), after which I returned to Things.

This app is really close. It uses most of the useful power features of OmniFocus, with a home page similar to Things 3. However, it is closer in complexity to OnniFocus as well. There is more friction entering tasks and moving around the interface than Things, but then Cultured Code has had a Very Long Time(tm) to perfect it too.

One feature I’d like improvement on is an easier to read “Today” view. Locus uses a view similar to OmniFocus, but oddly harder to read and figure out what’s coming up. For example, calendar events take up 3 lines but they are sorted at the top like Things. This eats up a lot of real estate. Perhaps if there was an option to either shrink them to 1 line like Things or sort them into your task list like a planner (à la OmniFocus) it would be better.

Also, it seems like the calendar view automatically sorts tasks with deadlines above planned tasks, even if the deadline is late in the day. There is no option to override this behavior. Actually, I’d like more customization in the calendar view overall.

Except for these nit picky items, the developer has done a great job combining features of the only 2 real GTD apps available.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your support. Your feedback means a lot to us and is incredibly helpful.

We will work on optimizing the issues you mentioned as soon as possible. Thank you!

### 1/5 — Poorly made

*2026-06-08*

Before I can even try it the app spams me with a screen to pick a plan. Like i cannot even navigate the app to make a better informed decision?

**Developer response:** Our policy is clearly stated on the App Store page. We offer a two-week free trial during which no fees are charged; this is a common business model. For example, if you look at Things 3, you cannot even download the app without paying first.

If you are interested in our app, please contact us at locusgtd@gmail.com. We can provide you with a free redeem code, as our goal is simply to gather authentic user feedback to improve the application. However, leaving a one-star review directly like this is difficult for us to accept. If possible, we kindly ask that you consider revising your rating.

### 5/5 — Wonderful start

I have started enjoying using this app. It's at an initial stage, but I think it has the right ingredients. Looking forward to seeing what the developers are cooking next!

### 5/5 — 贴合普通人需求的 GTD 软件

*2025-12-22*

恰到好处的功能，而且反馈回复很快，在不断地更新换代，很有潜力的一款软件

**Developer response:** 感谢您的支持！

### 5/5 — Best GTD for now

Absolutely best GTD app for now. Easy to use and iCloud support. Keep going!
