2 stars for nostalgia, but unbelievably frustrating gameplay because the thumb control is far to wonky for accurate movement. Swipe right and the Runner goes left into the hole you just dug.

The controls are nearly impossible to control since there is no sense of where your thumb is on the screen, but even still, since I was willing to die a thousand times, I was able to complete all but level 64.  Watching videos on how to solve it requires being able to move while falling from one side of the puzzle to the other, but these controls do not allow for that. For the most part I was able to relive earlier days, but the frustration level was too high to give it five stars.

Amazing game, but since last update controllers went crazy. Keeps crashing. Already reinstalled and still doesn’t work. iPhone 11.

Hard to move the little guy around accurately and end up dying a lot because can move the guy some times. It does play exactly how I remember with all the loopholes the chasers had with the original. If the directional controller was better this would be awesome!!! Mildly disappointed as I’ve been looking for this game for years. Played it all the time as a kid. Bummer this isn’t working very well for me.

UI is nowhere near authentic, gameplay feels remote by comparison.  

Nexon’s LodeRunner1 is a much more enjoyable choice, and free.

Superb look and sound to this port. Unfortunately, none of the control schemes - even the thoughtfully designed “virtual d-pad” which has a secondary indicator of where you are pushing - are able to provide the speed and accuracy you need for this game. The resulting experience is frustrating and not recommended. You know what you want your guy to do, but the controls actively work against you.

Liebe Entwickler...
wie wäre es, eine Bluetooth-Joypad-Steuerung zu implementieren und dann zugleich den Bildschirmausschnitt des Spielfeldes auf die gesamte Screengröße auszuweiten? Das wäre die Kür einer sehr gut gelungenen Adaption des Originals.

Hammer Spiel, genau wie damals. Leider ist die Steuerung schwierig, hier fehlt einfach der Joystick. Scheint da auch nichts gescheites zu geben. 
Entgegen der alten Rezession: läuft prima auf dem IPad, auch unter IOS11, man muss nur oben auf iPhone Apps umschalten, dann findet und lädt das iPad diese Spiel. 
Saugut!!!

子供の時からファミコン版のロードランナーをしていたものです。年甲斐もなくはまってしまい、全クリしてしまいました。久しぶりに集中できた。今は、tresure runner(別ゲーム)にハマり中。

Leider lassen die Entwickler keine Anstalten erkennen die üble Steuerung mal zeitgemäß upzudaten.

Die App ist sowas von vorgestern da nützt alles "Original Lode Runner" nichts.

Daher Finger weg von dieser Zombie App

Wie ich es schon mal gelesen habe. Mit dem Handy und der Steuerung ist das Spiel extrem schlecht zu spielen. Ich würde jedem, der keine andere Möglichkeit hat, als das Spiel vom Display aus zu steuern vom Kauf abraten. Zum Spiel selbst kann ich noch nichts sagen, bis ich mit irgendwelche Hardware gekauft habe, die die Steuerung vereinfacht. Daher bis jetzt erst Mal einen Stern!

Great game to play as family.  Request to add keyboard support and play it full screen… to play as I and many of us played on Apple II … playing it with Apple II keyboard.   Also, I enjoy the soundtrack… reminds me of 80s.

バージョン1.9.4で非常に操作性が悪くなりました。穴を掘ろうとすると、ワンテンポ遅れます。このままでは遊べません。
ただ、タイムアタックモードでは、なんとか遊べることが解りました。
クリアした途端に落ちることも有りません。
このゲームは、面白いです。アップデートして直るまでタイムアタックモードで遊びましょう！

タップだとプレイし難いので、MFi認証のコントローラー(ROTOR RIOTのRR1852)を購入したが、このロードランナーは対応して無かった。
コントローラーでプレイ出来るようにして欲しいです。

Ich habe damals LodeRunner noch auf dem ersten Apple Macintosh gespielt und bin begeistert von dieser Umsetzung. Auf aktuellen iPhones ist auch die Steuerung nach ein bisschen Eingewöhnung problemlos.

I saw several complaints about the controls in some of the reviews but they aren’t a problem for me! And I’m using an iPhone SE with a really small screen. Which is just to say, hours of nostalgic good times are on their way!

This was the best game I ever played on the iPhone. There are no ads, no in app purchases, and you are given unlimited lives to complete all levels. I never completed all the levels on my Commodore 64 back in 1984, but was able to in this game. Controls were hard at first, but I got used to them in time. We’ll worth the $2.99 I spent.

Finished the game. While touch controls are not optimal for a game like this I only really had issues with it on one of the last levels. 
Loved it. More levels please !!
