In the App Store, it simply says “Get”, which typically means the app is free. What they don’t tell you is that they charge people $25.00 per month, or $261 per year to use it. - The developers of this app haven’t updated it in 2 years, which means they have no interest in innovation towards this app. Instead, they are simply raking in profits from people without any innovation towards their product. Even though I haven’t used the app at all because of the observations above, I can’t tell you whether or not this app is good or not. But, I can say that this app, for mileage tracking purposes, costs more than many of the mainstream apps out here, which typically charge around $60 per year to use them, and those makers actually take the time to actively work on their app on a regular basis. Always be sure to check the Version History of any app to see if the developers are actually working on them, as that factor helps to justify the pricing of their app. In the meantime, I can’t recommend this app toward anyone until I see some actual “working” on the app first by the developers. ### 2/5 — FYI!! Not free!! *2019-12-22, version 1.0.29* I downloaded this app specifically because no in-app purchases are mentioned anywhere in the App Store listing, but this is incorrect. You only get a two-week free trial and then it is a subscription. Could be an awesome app but I’m deleting it because the bait-and-switch is not cool. ### 3/5 — Accuracy issues *2019-12-19* Good idea but accuracy inconsistent and sometimes very far off ### 2/5 — A good start but.... *2019-08-10, version 1.0.29* This is basically an okay app BUT there are a lot of bugs to be ironed out and I’m about to look for another. I certainly wouldn’t pay for it as it is. It chews up battery power, logs the wrong dates and times (we don’t all live in the US) and even on the accurate tracking setting it completely misses some trips - probably because it’s crashed. It seems to do that often. ### 3/5 — FYI - There is a monthly fee *2019-08-08, version 1.0.29* So, let me start by saying this looks to be a good app. Very thorough and informative as to why things like odometer readings are required for taxes. Tracks well. Pretty clean interface. However, nowhere on the description for the app did I see mention of a subscription being needed. iTunes doesn’t list any in-app purchases. Then in the settings I noticed it said my plan was free trial. After some digging, looks like you get a two week trial then you pay $4/month if you’re not using any other Veryfi services. With them, I don’t know. Just FYI. ### 4/5 — Decent app but chews up too much battery *2019-05-17, version 1.0.28* Decent app but has too much battery consumption when not in use AND when you’re stopped at a light, the app thinks that’s the end of the trip. Also drove 200 miles and the app just randomly broke this up onto 3 separate trips, even though I was driving on the highway. Very frustrating ### 2/5 — Has a few bugs *2019-04-19, version 1.0.27* I went on a vacation for a week and it still tracked all my movements, even if I wasn’t driving. There is no pause button. It’s either ON or OFF. I will drive my girlfriends car at night sometimes, or a rental car occasionally; the only option I have is to dig through the logs and delete drives that weren’t work related. It has become more time consuming than simply adding up my work van receipts at the end of the year. ### 3/5 — Poor drive ID. *2019-02-16, version 1.0.24* Easy to use with good in-app access to classified drives. Very poor GPS drive identification even when set on highest settings. (MileIQ is better). Combines multiple short drives that can be hours apart into one drive. Frustrating. Complained but no results. ### 4/5 — Very Good - Anxiety and Hassle Relief *2019-02-13, version 1.0.24* This app will save me serious time, effort and anxiety. I run a family ranch in N.W. Texas and I commute often. I am reimbursed for my mileage but it’s a serious hassle remembering all the miles I drive for business and for what reason. As such, I typically spend volumes of time scouring receipts and credit card statements backtracking to see where I went and when. I am always way short of actual mileage which means I’m losing money. I use Evernote, which is great for what it is, but it doesn’t track mileage; maybe there’s a Zapier between the apps. I hope there are ways to automate certain tags, trips, etc., and to set waypoints which if I’m near will trigger said automation. Even without triggers, at least I’ll have all miles driven and categorized due to the reminders I receive. I also pray that it’ll track mileage in areas where cell signals are spotty, such as on the ranch, as I drive a lot of miles in such areas. ### 1/5 — Well, I don’t know *2019-01-04, version 1.0.24* I can’t create an account because the keyboard blocks the “Create Account” button so I can’t even try this app out. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Tracking does not work *2024-02-05, version 1.0.32* The tracking does not properly work. It is not clearly explained either ### 1/5 — Not accurate or tax compliant *2023-10-04, version 1.0.32* It does not track odometer mileage(IRS required) or keep accurate records of trips. It randomly tracks short trips and just as randomly skips long ones. It also requires data connection- no offline compatibility - to track anything at all. The auto classify trips function has not worked at all for me. I was always against any apps that track locations as I know they drain battery really fast, however I was suprised that my Facebook app chews more battery that Veryfi. Wow! On top of that it's always accurate and I love the interface. ### 5/5 — Helpful and very useful *2018-11-10, version 1.0.23* I'm a salesperson and drive a lot and I need to file my miles to my employer weekly to get reimbursement. I sued just record those miles in Google spreadsheet which was way better comparing to pen and payper but still too much manual work to type everything in. With Veryfi I don'teven need to look intp my phone until the end of the week. Every Sunday I spend 10 minutes categorizing my trips and run the report. Always 100% accurate. I never miss on a single $1 I need to be reimbursed. Love it! ### 5/5 — Wow anouther great app from Veryfi *2018-11-05, version 1.0.23* I was using Veryfi Receipts app for over a year and just recently realized that I have access to Veryfi mileage app for no extra charge. I used MileIQ before, but why pay if this one is free for me :) Also this app is even better than MileIQ since MileIQ didn't allow me no have more than one vehicle.
