### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-02-21, version 3.3.5*

I’m a fan of this app. I cannot think of anything to add except maybe quantitative data capture, expenses or other numerics such as mileage or repetition of exercise or similar. But, it’s an ideal logger!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2023-12-16, version 3.3.4*

This app is exactly what a was looking for. I’m starting to forget daily things that I need to keep track of and this tool is just perfect for me. I have ADHD and I need things/formats to be simple and without too much going on otherwise I get distracted and end up doing nothing of what I was supposed to do. This logger (I love the name, plain and simple and exactly what it does) is very easy to use and also has just enough colors so that you don’t get lost between the logs but also don’t get distracted by them (colors). I’ve been searching for something like this for a long time and I am very happy I finally found it! I also love that you can upgrade for not that much money! I highly recommend!

### 4/5 — Simple and effective

*2023-12-15, version 3.3.3*

I like it a lot, and it already suites my needs for what I use it for perfectly, though I wouldn't mind some visual updates, especially customizability options and especially on the mac version where there is a lot more visible at once. Some things that I would like the ability to change: 1. Add more space between every entry just to visually separate them better. (just a tiny bit more) On the phone you only see so many entries so it isn't so bad, but on the computer they feel too closely packed. In general, I think the mac version could use more padding arounnd objects in general, for instance, the number indicating how long ago the entry was made feels quite close to both the color bar and the text to the right. 2. Add extra space, or a header row with a date, at midnight of every day. This could even dynamically change depending how frequent the entries are. If there are multiple per day, include a header each day. If there is one or less per day but multiple per week, include a weekly header, and you could do the same for other larger intervals like months, maybe quarters, and years. This also doesn't need to be dynamic and could simply be a setting. 3. the ability to change how quickly the color bar next to the entries changes. I like the ability to visually see time difference, but if the entire screen contains entries from a single week then the gradient is so subtle it is hard to make out. Or perhaps have this dynamically change based on the range of currently visible entries? Or the colors could be on a log scale so it changes faster at the top of a list but as you scroll down it changes more and more gradually? Hard to guess at the best solution without trying it out but there might be something better than how it works currently. It also wouldn't hurt to be able to simply turn that column off. 4. Lastly, just a font selection would be nice. I do like the feel you are going for, especially on the phone where it is full screen. But on the mac where it is next to other windows I wouldn't mind the ability to at least use the system font, but it wouldn't hurt to allow any font.

### 5/5 — Outstanding App!

*2023-05-31, version 3.3.3*

I have searched for an app like Logger for months and none of them worked as they should. Logger is the exception. It’s clean, responsive, and works without issue. I’ve also reached out to the developer with questions/requests and the response has been almost immediate and with extreme professional response. If you need an app like this, this is the one.

### 5/5 — Siri Support please ♥️

*2023-03-18, version 3.2.1*

I only have one wish for the app. Siri support.

Siri support

 Me: Hey Siri, start logging.
Siri: What do you want me to log?
Me: bought a new guitar 🎸.
Siri: Added, with your location tagged.

I have an app through which I can log water intake using Siri. I hope the above logging method is implantable via Siri. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Love the app ♥️

### 4/5 — Would be perfect with iCloud sync

*2022-10-07, version 3.2.1*

The app is simple and clean. I love that I can add my location and photos. However, iCloud sync is not supported. Really hope that can be in their roadmap.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2022-05-13, version 3.2.1*

Using this as a portable phone call log. Works well. Had to do a bit of learning to figure out all the features but got there without too much hassle. Worth the $

### 4/5 — Needs global search badly

*2022-05-09, version 3.2.1*

I do not write reviews often, but man was this app made for someone like me. Time stamped, date stamped, location stamped, all while allowing me to quickly jot a note down. So simple yet so addictively sound! One issue I quickly came across was the lack of a global search. The separation of logs is nice, but it’d be nice to search through all those logs at once in case i’m not too sure where an entry is at exactly. Other than that, this app is seriously so good.

### 5/5 — Almost perfect

*2022-01-05, version 3.1*

This app is exactly what I was looking for. Very simple, no frills, does what I need. I’d been trying to find an app that would help to manage my ADHD and this one is very close to being The One.

That said, here are some missing features that I hope can be added:

- iCloud sync
- Customizable themes (colors and font)
- Please let me attach photos.
- Shortcuts. It would be amazing if I could run a shortcut and instantly log my location. I forget *everything* and it would be such a big help. I know I can open the app and create a new log but that’s not gonna work as well as a big shiny “log location” button on my Home Screen. My brain is essentially a toddler.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I want to use a 12 hour clock not a 24 hour clock and that is not available.

*2022-04-28, version 3.2.1*

I want to use a 12 hour clock not a 24 hour clock and there is no option to change it.

### 1/5 — Is this ableist?

*2021-01-05, version 3.0.2*

— because I have to assume the developers for Logger are literally blind.

Maybe they went blind from staring at this supernova of UX war crime.

### 2/5 — Only military time

*2024-02-07, version 3.3.4*

This app looks promising, but the fact that it doesn’t even have an option for 12-hr time clock is a dealbreaker for me. Once it gets necessary basic features like these I might find it useful and change my rating.

### 2/5 — Limited

*2023-01-18, version 3.2.1*

This app lets you add date/time stamped notes to log and you can edit individual entries. There are almost no settings or customizations: for example you can’t define the date/time format for the list). And the share option creates a text file (so can’t share to clipboard or email). For me, the purchase options are way too expensive for what is offered. You have to pay to change the display from purple text on black background and that only changes the main box you write in, the header still has the black background. Also, it would be nice to have some logs that are for date only (without time).

### 3/5 — Not quite there yet

*2024-07-31, version 3.3.5*

This app does what I want, namely allows me to journal my pain levels during the day (so I can record post injection pain in my hip), but…. (1) Date stamp on left side of data entries is centered in the middle of the text field. This makes it very difficult to tell where that entry starts and stops. The Date stamp should be on the first line of the text data (and there should be a blank line separating entries). (2) The Date Stamp needs to also include the Time stamp (maybe as an option), because when I’m journaling, things change quite often throughout the day. I need to know the time of that entry at a glance, but can only tell the time of the entry if I open that data entry for editing. (3) I know I could do this with a spreadsheet, but if I could add a few fields of my own, and give them labels (like pain level), then export all the data to a spreadsheet, I could create a chart of my pain levels. The app in general is quite a good fit for what I need, but would be more useful with the format changes mentioned above. Thanks for creating this little handy app!

### 3/5 — Question more than review:

*2024-05-15, version 3.3.5*

Will this app log iMessages that someone unsends? Would be useful if was able to log incoming iMessages before the other person gets a chance to unsend what they send.

### 3/5 — Room for improvement

*2021-09-29, version 3.1*

This app has a lot of potential. I mean a lot! It would be nice if you guys also made a work version of this. They have all these management apps for contractors of every sort, outside of scheduling and pay, there really isn’t much when it comes to the employee. It would also be nice to be able to search up a specific log by date or day. I’ve noticed that you’re unable to do that as well. I’m in the union, with all the “politics” and miscommunication, I like to keep my butt covered by keeping a record of all that I do. With that said, it would also be nice if it was possible to attach files and pictures, as well as being able to format it to pdf and email it. Would definitely be five star worthy.

### 4/5 — No iCloud sync

*2026-08-22, version 3.3.7*

I really like the app and use it all the time. I just wish it had iCloud sync/backup.

### 4/5 — Please show minutes too

*2024-09-16, version 3.3.5*

would be great if you could please add the option to see how many Hours,Minutes since the last log & the time between logs

### 4/5 — Funktioniert wie sie soll

*2024-03-05*

### 5/5 — Chronic Condition Tracker

*2026-08-09, version 3.3.3*

A great way to write down my symptoms as they occur, as well as what I’m eating, activities, etc that may lead to these symptoms. Love this app.

### 5/5 — Finalllyyy 🤩

*2026-01-25, version 3.3.7*

I’ve been so close to learning to create an app because I couldn’t find one that’s simple and minimal like this!

Gotten into analog “rapid logging” - mostly following the bujo method.. wanted an on the go digital option for when pen & paper isn’t around.

This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Quick and easy rapid log with timestamps. Search feature. Export feature. 90’s kid is loving the retro feel! Bonus: Subscription cost is awesome. But you don’t really “need” it to do the main stuff 😄 at this point my sub is support you guys!

There’s no messing around with sync & backups which I surprisingly actually kinda like! I feel more secure knowing this type of data is only on this device so it’s less out there in the world. I can export a .csv to back it up where I want to keep it 🤓 there is also a .JSON format. The only other I would love to see is pdf!

Thanks for creating an app that I’ve been searching for many years for 😎

### 5/5 — ADHD Perfection

*2025-09-08, version 3.3.3*

I have severe and combined ADHD. It is so hard for me to be consistent. I spend so much time lost in productivity apps with customisations, I barely get anything done. This app is simple. Quick. I can (when I am able to remember, habits take a while to form) list all the things I have done in the day without getting lost in formatting and fancy settings. Too many well intended apps proclaimed for people with ADHD overlook the fact that while pretty customisations and lots of different formats are exciting, they are also a huge distraction for the suffering ADHDer.

I often get the end of the day feeling like I haven’t achieved much, but with this app I can very quickly log every little activity I do (brushing my teeth, making the bed etc) then look back at the end of the day and realise I have actually achieved a lot! This is very important to me and it helps to improve my mental health.

I have a To Do list set up as well for the important things I need to try to get done, free from all the complicated extra functions of the usual reminders app. While this app doesn’t currently offer reminders, it replaces hand scribbled to do lists in this context.

Please keep this simple, I love it! I just need to get into the habit of logging after the activities, this will take time but I am hopeful.

### 5/5 — Exceptional log

*2025-04-14, version 3.3.3*

Great piece of tool !

### 5/5 — Cool

*2025-02-03, version 3.3.5*

Pretty cool I like the look and simplicity of it

### 5/5 — Partially my mistake…

*2025-01-17, version 3.3.3*

I will admit, my disappointment in making the one-time purchase of this app was partly my fault, for just assuming it would span to my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I should’ve known it would be a $19.99 fee per device. That was my mistake, but a mistake that will prevent me from using the app any further. Kudos at least for offering a one-time purchase. At least it’s not one of those subscription mode only pieces of garbage. For $19.99 though, I should absolutely be able to have it on all 3. For such a simple piece of software, that’s a hefty fee per device. Make it account bound, and I’ll absolutely change my rating.

### 5/5 — Very useful app

*2024-11-25, version 3.3.3*

I have been looking for a simple time logging app and this is actually a perfect solution. Thank you to the devs

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-07-19, version 3.3.5*

I love this app. It's just what I wanted. Simple. No frills. It just logs stuff.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2024-06-23, version 3.3.5*

Great for everyday posting of my activities.
I love that it records dates of my posts and I can go back to add something if I forget it.
I just went ahead and bought the lifetime membership and started posting.
Thank you for a great app.

### 5/5 — Using it a lot

*2024-04-27, version 3.3.5*

Update: Thank you for adding sync! I’m upgrading my rating to five stars.

I download this app recently and I’m finding a lot of use for it. Would you please add sync so I can access my notes on different devices. You could please also add the ability to sort the notes and/or pin to the top. Thanks
