I enjoy the elimination-style gameplay where you use different statements and clues to figure out who did what, where they were, etc. If the app were just those puzzles, I would probably rate it much higher. Unfortunately, getting to the logic puzzles is the frustrating part. To unlock the next packs, you have to play a Tetris-like mini game to collect keys, and it often feels like the pieces you’re given don’t even work with what you need to accomplish. I downloaded this app because I wanted to play logic puzzles—not Tetris. Add in the amount of ads, and it starts to feel like you have to work your way through a completely different game just to access the part you actually downloaded the app for. Great logic puzzles, frustrating way of accessing them. I would much rather watch an occasional ad or have another straightforward way to unlock puzzle packs than be forced to play a Tetris-style game. It’s beyond annoying and also interfered with playing the game more than once. One thinks that they are going to be playing the logic games represented in the app. This is only partially true. There is a daily logic puzzle available every day, one puzzle. If you wouldn’t like to play more than one logic puzzle, you must earn enough keys in order to do that. The way that you were in keys is to play a game that you never signed up for. Consequently, you spend more time playing the other game than you do spend playing the type of logic puzzle that you signed up for. This is no exception, truly lovely. I will say that many of the games have the option to turn off the lives counter, which is not available in this one as far as I can tell. I tend to misclick or make silly mistakes, so I would usually have that off. It’s really just a minor inconvenience in a otherwise wonderful game but it does make a difference to me. If you’re wondering whether or not to get it, do.
