### 1/5 — Obsolete

*2020-11-11*

Welp. 1.6 No longer connects to a Lutron hub. So the whole POP system is headed for the trash.

Shame, because it worked well with systems from multiple vendors for a while.

Getting rather tired of home connectivity devices that get abandoned after a couple of years.

### 1/5 — Since iOS 14 can’t add buttons

*2020-10-02, version 1.6*

And I have allowed Bluetooth and network access for the app
Come on Logitech update to work please

### 1/5 — App no longer supported

*2020-03-17*

This app is no longer compatible with new version of iOS and Logitech doesn’t support it with updates for over a year. Don’t buy hardware from Logitech, you will have hundreds of dollars of paperweights after they take your money and run.

### 1/5 — No development of app anymore

*2020-02-14, version 1.6*

Sooo, this app has been broken for a long time now and it is no longer possible to set the brightness of LIFX lights with this product. Not impressed!!! Looks like there is no choice but to dump Logitech and go with a more reliable brand.

### 1/5 — No updates in a year? Pathetic.

*2020-01-30, version 1.6*

Will never buy a Logitech product again.

### 1/5 — Urgently needs update

*2020-01-23, version 1.6*

This used to be a great product and app but seriously needs updating as major functionality missing,

Please please update, restore ability to adjust brightness on hue...add new software like Nanoleaf...

Thanks

### 1/5 — Very poor app

*2019-11-20*

App is very basic and poorly supported. Surely Logitech can do better than that!!

### 1/5 — No updates in a year

*2019-11-10, version 1.6*

My pop button is not working with HomeKit. It worked for a while now it seems to have stopped. I reset the pop bridge but it still does not work.

Why has this app not been updated in over a year. Poor support.

### 2/5 — No brightness control

*2019-11-08, version 1.6*

Please add brightness control for the up to date iOS.

### 1/5 — No iOS 13 support.

*2019-10-24, version 1.6*

Great product. Horrible app. Just as others complained... No brightness support for iOS 13. This is absolutely not acceptable. It has been a year since the last update. What excuse could they possibly have?

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2019-10-10, version 1.6*

Cannot log in on iPhone 11

### 1/5 — Crashes when logging in

*2019-10-06, version 1.6*

This app crashes when I attempt to log in.

### 1/5 — App crashes immediately

*2019-10-06, version 1.6*

Can’t get past either “log in” or “set up” on iOS 13.2. Crashes instantly. How am I supposed to apply the update that HomeKit says is available?

### 2/5 — Not updated for iOS 13

*2019-10-05*

App crashes constantly on iOS 13. Unusable. Works on iOS 12 with my old phone still or my numerous poppers would be completely useless :(

Last update was a year ago.

### 1/5 — Update the app please... crashes every time

*2019-10-05*

Needs at least latest screen size and the app really could use an overhaul.

Edit: crashes every time I try to login and HomeKit is telling me there are updates for my buttons but can’t login to update. Is this dead?

### 1/5 — App instantly crashes

*2019-10-02*

I haven’t been able to use this app for months because it keeps instantly crashing. The home app says I need to update the firmware on it but because the app crashes I’m not able to do it. This is very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Desperately needs an update

*2019-09-30, version 1.6*

Can’t change the brightness, only the temperature.

### 1/5 — Logitech has abandoned this app and its users

*2019-08-03, version 1.6*

After investing around $500 in Logitech pop buttons and incorporating them into my home - I was shocked to find that Logitech’s integration with LIFX bulbs is now broken and they have not made any attempt to fix it. It is simply not possible to adjust brightness of LIFX bulbs anymore with this app.

I have waited for them to resolve it for multiple versions of IOS and I am now about to replace all of my switch infrastructure with Flic buttons.

I will remember this as I gradually replace my peripherals and speakers over time (with products from companies that care more about their customers).

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Suddenly stopped working

*2024-01-05, version 1.7*

The app suddenly stopped working with an alert on launch that it can’t connect to the server.

### 1/5 — Complete garage

*2023-02-25*

App keeps crashing when trying to launch. I can’t tell you how many people have searched on Reddit to try and find a solution, and not one person from Logitech cares. Don’t believe me? Google search logi pop app keeps crashing and see what “pops” up.

### 1/5 — Confusing setup and app keeps crashing

*2023-02-11, version 1.7*

Can’t even get passed the setup because the app keeps crashing. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with the same results. Wish I would have gotten a different smart button for my LIFX strips.

### 1/5 — Busted for Lifx

*2022-12-13, version 1.7*

I had to set up the app on a new device but scanning for Lifx now gives me nothing. These expensive buttons are now absolutely worthless.
Thanks folks.

### 1/5 — OK…when it occasionally works

*2022-11-30, version 1.7*

When it works, it works well. But if you ever want to add a device then problems start. It can’t find new Hue devices when searching so I removed Hue to re-add, and now it can’t find anything at all. I’ve factory reset many times but still nothing. Logitech support are hopeless. When I tried calling they couldn’t understand that there is such a thing as a Pop button, they thought I meant a keyboard or mouse. Nearly 2 weeks later and every few days I get an email from their support that is no use. One told me how to connect Pop to Siri, and another just copied/pasted from their website on how to factory reset. I have 8 buttons, which are quite expensive, and are now useless. I’ve tried deleting and re-adding the app and now that doesn’t even go to log in screen. Avoid!!

### 1/5 — Buggy app, also frustrating they stopped supporting something so expensive so soon

*2022-03-24, version 1.6*

I keep an old android phone around to change the “recipes” because they don’t work properly, and never worked properly in iOS. The android version allows the user to change the brightness of Hue and Lifx bulbs in recipes, while this has never worked in iOS. Recently, the bridge has been struggling to connect to my router. Resetting the bridge hasn’t worked and the app has no way of clearing out the bridge before a re-pair attempt.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2021-10-03, version 1.6*

You pay quite a lot for the hardware and the app to control it is rubbish.
Not been updated for several years.
Brightness controls are nonexistent and worse, whatever you set your light to, this app will reset it to 50% every time.

### 1/5 — Avoid Logitech

*2021-09-25, version 1.6*

This is your regular reminder that you shouldn’t invest in Logitech. Product catalog = Abandoned tech.

### 1/5 — Can’t login with facebook, and can’t change the login method

*2021-08-15, version 1.6*

OK so now I’m stuck can’t get back into the app and of course there’s no support available just useless forums.

### 1/5 — Ifttt, wth?

*2021-02-10, version 1.6*

Arcane, cryptic and impenetrable. Needs to be rebuild from ground up for usability and user friendliness.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Long time user—appreciating this update

*2022-08-30*

I’ve used Logi POP switches for several years now. This app had been on its last legs for years. I had to juggle old devices to adjust certain settings, where iOS updates made the UI unusable. And by happenstance, I had need to try to make some adjustments to my scenes after some recent hardware upgrades. Imagine my surprise that an update was published 4 days prior, fixing many of the most devastating bugs that had plagued the experience of using this app.

Realize, this product line is in an end of life state—no new hardware being made. But this is a review of the software, not the hardware. And the services available in this software still mostly do everything that it was ever advertised to do. So no new features will likely ever come, but still useful for certain workflows. I give many thanks to the engineer who pushed out this update! I have imagine they did it just for their own personal devices.

I suspect this will be the final update. But it’s in an ok spot to be useful for at least a few more years, I think. To this day, the options in this space are limited, and I’m glad I don’t have to invest in any other system just yet, all of them on the market now having their own drawbacks. Thankfully, this old, under appreciated, reliable ecosystem has a little fight left in it.

### 5/5 — Great little tools

*2018-10-16*

Much easier than saying Alexa. I just wish the made replacement for physical switches.

The app doesn’t quite work on my iPhone Xs. I can’t control the top slider to adjust the brightness due to the notch.

### 5/5 — Fantastic product

*2018-05-09, version 1.5.2*

Works really well, home automation that just works at last!

### 5/5 — Great product

*2017-11-16*

I love the whole entire concept of the switch controlling different smart devices with a simple different types of press of the buttons. But there’s one thing that I can not be able to do and that is log into the application

**Developer response:** Hi Sparky 223, Thank you for your review. With regards to unable to log into the application, could you please email your POP login id to SmartHomeTeam+iOS@logitech.com and provide more information on the difficulties you're experiencing to help us resolve your concern.

### 5/5 — Setup and loving it

*2017-08-26*

Just got my buttons set up. Now I can lock my front door, turn on lights and start music all with the same button. Setup was a breeze, love these little things. Just wish there was an option for custom button colors to match my living room.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2017-01-28, version 1.2.1*

Love this product and the app is great - very clean UI

### 5/5 — I love my Pop buttons

*2016-11-08, version 1.1*

They are really great, although they do not detect my new model LIFX and LIFX+ bulbs, pleeeeease fix this quickly Logitech :)

### 4/5 — Features

*2018-08-15, version 1.6*

1 Where is the iPhone X compatibility?

2 I would like the ability to suspend the use of the button. I travel regularly and would find it beneficial if I could temporarily suspend the button’s use.

3 I would like to be able to add a pause to a recipe. I use my POP to arm my security system but after pressing the POP button I’d like a 30 pause before the recipe is actioned.

### 4/5 — TP-Link compatibility

*2016-10-11, version 1.0.2*

Nice app and controls, works great with my Sonos, but would like TP-Link Smart WiFi Plug compatibility please.

### 3/5 — Please help

*2022-12-15*

My devices stopped working today with iOS 16.2 HomeKit upgrade! Any update planned or help here would be greatly appreciated

Edit: removing bridge and re-adding resolved issue!
