And why is there an option on iPad to export as a Logoist file—but this same option is missing from the Mac version? It doesn’t make sense. In addition, I can’t drag object handles using my attached Wacom tablet. This also doesn’t make sense. ### 4/5 — Organization *2024-05-01, version 5.1.2* The program should be organized so that the user knows where to start. ### 4/5 — Vector AI is not supported on iPad 9th generation! *2024-04-05, version 5.1.2* If the developer finds a way to support Vector AI on 9th generation iPad, then it will deserve 5 stars. No explaination is given why iPad 9th generation is not supported. Vectorize is the main reason I bought this app. The second reason is the possibilty of using it to create T-Shirt artwork. I already own a competitor software, but they still haven't added any way to auto trace raster images into vector. I felt that the extra $10 would be worth it to get extra features, but didn't really do my research enough to find out that Vector AI isn't supported with my new iPad 9th generation got on sell April 2024. I would have upgraded today, but the sell is over, and the 10th generation is back up to is normal price. ### 4/5 — Awesome and versatile. One tiny complaint. *2024-03-19, version 5.1.2* Logoist 5 is a great tool to have in your creative bag. It's great for whipping up logos, but you can do so much more, like vectorizing images and now there is AI! The one tiny complaint is a huge nag screen you can't turn off that advertises the developer's other apps. This is certainly different and once you figure the UI quite intuitive and forgiving. However, you don't find out until you've installed it that it requires a Mac with an M chip. The App store says 'Compatibility - Works on this iMac', but that's not the case. And I don't see any other info in the App Store telling me not to bother. Disappointed. ### 3/5 — VectorAI compatibility should be disclosed *2024-01-29, version 5.1.2* I just purchased Logoist 5, and on launch, the first thing I did was click on the VectorAI tool. I was surprised and disappointed to see a warning dialog box pop up: 'Unfortunately, this device is not compatible with VectorAI. Minimum requirements: A Mac with an Apple M Chip, an iPhone 12, an iPad Air (4th Generation), iPad (10th Gen.), iPad mini (6th Gen.), or an iPad Pro (11" 4th Gen., 12,9" 5th Gen.) or later.' These limitations really should have been disclosed in the description (notably, they are not in the "Compatibility" section of the MAS page). I can't use this tool on either my Intel Mac Mini desktop or my 3rd-gen iPad Pro. What a bad first impression! ### 5/5 — I absolutely love it! *2024-01-17, version 5.1.2* I don't have a fast enough computer for VectorAI but I'm sure it's worth it! I have been a long-time customer and love all of the software put out by synium . This is the best! Thank you again! ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2023-12-21, version 5.1.2* I have been using Logoist for nearly 8 years now and I was so familiar with the old version I was nervous to update it to the latest version. I am so glad I did update it as it has improved ten fold! I run a Hotel and Fitness facility and have used Logoist for all my logos, marketing material and will continue to do so for many more years. It is very easy to use and only takes half an hour to navigate your way around with ease. Well done guys! Ben ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Obnoxious Ads via Pop-up when Starting App *2024-05-24, version 5.1.2* The product itself does roughly what it claims to do. How well it does it is up for debate. I find the overall user interface to be fiddly, especially when trying to edit nodes on vector objects. Though it did a great job turning some raster images into vectors for me. But I’ve otherwise abandoned using it for the most part. My primary reason for not using it is because of the ads. This app has an obnoxious ad that shows up in the form of a pop-up window for one of their products (Family Tree -- which has literally nothing to do with Logoist 5) I got it once, and thought to myself, "Okay, I'll give them that one. Surely they'll not bug me again." The next time I opened the app (a week later and into the next month) I get the same ad for the same ridiculous product that I'm not even remotely interested in. Why? Because it's the "May Sale" of course! Annoying your paying customers with pop-up ads for wholly unrelated products every month seems like a great way to get a bad review. So here ya go. ### 1/5 — No AI support on "compatible" macbook pro *2024-01-31, version 5.1.2* Everything indicated I could use the software and what lured me in was the new VectorAI feature. But once installed, and I click on the feature, I get a pop-up that says I need an M processor to use it. I'm running a 8-core i9 processor. I asked for an image of "couple sunbathing on the beach" and it rejected it with the message "nudity or violence detected". ### 1/5 — Badly censored *2023-12-08, version 5.1.1* All I wanted was an image of a man raising his fist in anger, as he's stuck in traffic. The program won't allow this as "it contains violence and/or nudity." Ridiculous! ### 2/5 — Logos *2025-04-19, version 5.1.2* Preset logos are terrible - try harder ### 2/5 — OK, but not great *2025-02-28, version 5.1.2* This has potential, but is let down by its very poor object selection model. The selection model is purely click based or rectangular selection, with all objects under the selection automatically selected, even if they are only partly bounded by the selection rectangle. This is a pretty poor choice. To make this even half decent, there has to be a lasso selection capability, and there has to be an option to only include objects that are bounded by the selection, not just touched by it. After all, most of the time you are drawing irregularly shaped objects. The Vector AI option is a gimmick, really, and produces nothing that comes close to being usable. That said, the vectorisation feature is pretty solid. ### 3/5 — AI image generation is terrible *2025-11-10, version 5.2.1* Logoist 5 is OK for simple logos. But their Ai image generator is horribly limited. ### 3/5 — Needs Work! *2024-08-13, version 5.1.2* Nice app but fails in so many areas. Cannot save X-Ray view which is a necessary function for exposing details in an image. Blend Mode needs Mac standrds and needs to be able to scroll so we don't have to see results one click at a time. (serious problem) App needs ability to produce SVG closer to actual imputted picture rather than cartoon-like results. Maybe a preview would help before rendering. Finally... Too many gradients in the Style Presets, we really need a way to render line results .... Like X-Ray. The X-Ray view is a major attraction / function of the is app.... it's too bad that the dev will not allow exporting X_Ray which is necessary for forensic analyst of images.. ### 3/5 — Pretty good *2024-04-11, version 5.1.2* Haven't used it long enough, seems like a pretty good app, but do not like the AI generator results, perhaps it will improve over time it needs work. I love that it is vector based and the background remover. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Absolutely fantastic! *2026-03-15, version 5.2.2* I’ve been using Logoist for many years (I can’t remember which version they were on when I first got it). It was incredible back then and has only gotten better over the years. I do “graphic design” for a non-profit on a volunteer basis and I’ve been able to use Logoist for everything from T-Shirt designs to promotional social media posts. I’ve made Christmas cards, business cards, event tickets, the list goes on. For someone like me who is not a professional and is completely self (and YouTube) taught, I can say that this software works exactly the way my brain thinks it should. Every function I use is either completely understandable from the get go, or I’ve been able to use their included templates to see how something is done. I also can’t express enough how appreciative I am that this is NOT a subscription software like so many others have done. I’m happy to pay for future versions but subscriptions? No thanks. I’ve been using for quite a while now, since V4. ### 5/5 — Great for Vectorizing *2025-04-10* I often need to convert a photo or some other image in to a vector for editing in something like Affinity Designer or Pixelmator. I’ve relied on a couple of options. One is vector magic, which costs about $10 per month and works great, or Super Vectorizer, which was a single purchase and works OK. The problem with SV is that it does not create the editable groups you need, they are more like layers, so it can be hard. Logoist is great because it is almost as good as Vector Magic, a single purchase, and for the price it offers so many more tools. ### 5/5 — The Best *2024-11-01, version 5.1.2* Love everything about it.
