### 2/5 — Logseq had so much potential

*2026-06-20, version 0.10.9*

I'm absolutely devastated that they ceased development on it. Logseq was the best by far.

### 2/5 — Can’t open with big enough database

*2026-03-26, version 0.10.9*

App still crashes on open

### 3/5 — I like Logseq but

*2026-01-03, version 0.10.9*

The sync with Dropbox doesn’t really work (or is too slow?) and the app hasn’t been updated in a year: I would use it everyday if it worked better. But now I have to look for alternatives

### 3/5 — Mobile app needs improvement

*2025-11-22, version 0.10.9*

Desktop app is decent, but mobile app cannot get away with the same tiny buttons next to each other. Also it has a bunch of bugs:
- create “new page” button doesn’t actually create new page, but opens command palette. (Also I couldn’t find how to open this command palette on mobile other than this not intended behavior button)
- Tapping fold/unfold button next to reference count button is difficult, bc they are so small that it results in “mistaps “
- info buttons in the menu don’t do anything
- UI and icons don’t look as clean comparing to other mobile note taking apps
- the “all pages” section and navigation in general is confusing
- also the app hasn’t been updated in a year

This being said, I appreciate the open source nature of the app. I think mobile app execution could be better. Maybe reduce some features on mobile compared to desktop, but add some polish

### 3/5 — Funciona en IOS 26

*2025-09-30, version 0.10.9*

### 4/5 — Disappointed

*2025-07-20, version 0.10.9*

Sad to see it was abandoned and left with tones of bugs. I even cannot insert an image. You guys have a good idea and realizations after time could become better and better interactively. So many opportunities, features could be made.. Hope to be wrong.

### 3/5 — Just use Obsidian

*2025-07-03, version 0.10.9*

This is a slightly worse, less customizable clone of Obsidian. Just use the original.

### 2/5 — Painful process to understand and operate

*2025-05-23, version 0.10.9*

I really wanted to love Logseq, but the learning curve is brutal. The interface feels unintuitive, especially on mobile, and basic actions like navigating between pages or editing blocks are clunky and inconsistent. Even after watching tutorials, I still find myself getting lost or stuck. I get that it’s powerful for some, but the user experience needs serious refinement before it can be considered accessible to the average user. Grateful that it’s free and works pretty well on my MacBook.

### 2/5 — App has lots of bugs

*2025-04-14, version 0.10.9*

Sync sometimes likes to duplicate a ton of text in entries, forcing me to manually delete all the extra duplicates (and I pay monthly for this “service”). Half the time tapping on the text to make edits doesn’t bring up the editor bar (for indents, etc.). Highlighting bulleted lists only allows selection for a single bullet (tap and drag selection doesn’t seem to span a list of bullets), making deleting duplicated data from the previous sync issues a stupidly tedious chore. Sometimes when I write things in parentheses it likes to insert an extra one at the beginning, just to be particularly unhelpful. I want to like the app but the poor usability and lack of polish is really disappointing. So many UX bugs and the app hasn’t been updated in almost exactly 1 year.

### 2/5 — Need background refresh

*2025-03-15, version 0.10.9*

Always need to wait for syncing before leaving the app

### 2/5 — Frequent UI Errors

*2025-02-08, version 0.10.9*

I like the app in spirit, but it just doesn’t function properly on modern versions of iOS. UI elements are truncated in weird ways, hiding items that shouldn’t be.

### 2/5 — No longer being developed? It is glitchy and failure prone.

*2024-11-18, version 0.10.9*

The UI is glitchy. Editing more than a single line of text is difficult because the cursor is always one or two lines away from where my inserts and deletes actually happen. A whole paragraph may be truncated by sliding underneath an adjacent block of text. Database corruption error messages are increasingly common. Six months is a long time for an application to be without an update yet still be version zero. I prefer to use this product over proprietary apps, but the cost of that is apparently the risk that you'll need to migrate in frustration.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is not being updated

*2026-05-18, version 0.10.9*

This app has not been updated in 2 years on the App Store and the version on the App Store is at least 6 versions behind. Does not look like the developer is updating the iOS app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t load at all

*2026-04-08, version 0.10.9*

I consider the reason is enabled Lockdown mode, yet this is the only app behaving like this. Please fix!

### 1/5 — I’d give it one star if I could

*2026-03-21, version 0.10.9*

Avoid this app on iPad. It lost my data on first use: added data one day, came back a week later, it’s gone. Forums full of similar reports, replies mostly patronising versions of “you didn’t do it right”. Apps like this should stay hidden until such basic use cases just work.

### 1/5 — used to love this app

*2025-12-10, version 0.10.9*

but for an application which has no releases in an entire year , probably is unusable

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-08-15, version 0.10.9*

Editor auf iPad komplett kaputt. Punkte vor Blocks sind unsichtbar. Keine neuen Blocks erstellbar. Einrücken per TAB funktioniert manchmal, manchmal nicht. Einfach keine Reaktion. Kannste wegschmeißen.

### 1/5 — Janky UI

*2025-07-19, version 0.10.9*

It’s a web interface beaten down to fit on a mobile screen, stuck with “mouse-over” elements and all

### 1/5 — Completely stagnant and fall behind competing product

*2025-04-25, version 0.10.9*

I really want to like logseq. Since the team decided to completely rewrite it to add database support, this app has been in a standstill for over a year falling behind other competitors. I lost patience and confidence that the rewrite will ever come out of beta. The current version is buggy, I have frequently lost data in random situations.

### 1/5 — Komplett kaputter Editor

*2025-04-02, version 0.10.9*

### 1/5 — Doesn’t even launch

*2024-11-25, version 0.10.9*

Just does nothing

### 1/5 — Can’t open graph from cloud

*2024-10-29, version 0.10.9*

Can’t open graph created by PC in cloud folder…

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great easy and almost perfect

*2026-07-13, version 0.10.9*

Really looking forward to DB and fue the updates and movible.
Performance is slow to navigate among pages and blocks and touching a specific spot to write often jumps around or takes more than three times to achieve precisely

A way to add text above and Indent all current one level deep would be very useful foe both desktop but more in mobile

can we please have an option to sync towards locally defined self hosted servers please

### 5/5 — very useful，open source ，PKM

*2026-04-21, version 0.10.9*

👍

*2026-01-12, version 0.10.9*

### 5/5 — The best way to take notes on any subject!

*2026-01-01, version 0.10.9*

Been a long time user and absolutely love the way it structures my notes. Only small gripe (which personally doesn’t take away from a 5 star review) is that the iPhone app hasn’t been updated in a while when other platforms have been

*2025-11-25, version 0.10.9*

### 5/5 — amazing - but needs improvement

*2025-11-12, version 0.10.9*

i use logseq every day. as a musician it’s become so useful. i would love smoother editing of blocks, fixing the audio bugs on windows (audio blocks don’t play back), and sizing options for uploaded media like photos and videos. thank you logseq!

*2025-08-24, version 0.10.9*

*2025-07-14, version 0.10.9*

### 5/5 — Awesome for hackers, engineers and researchers

*2024-11-18, version 0.10.9*

A very powerful application for knowledge management and personal journaling. It offers quite good plugins, especially for Anki integration, navigation, and formulas. This makes the app one of the most powerful tools for studying complex domains of knowledge and research work.

However, it has several weak points:
- an ugly and almost unreadable query language, along with an undebuggable query engine;
- many UI bugs;
- lack of conflict resolution during sync procedures and issues with the database as an entity;
- very slow mobile apps when handling 500+ pages;
- infrequent releases.

What would be good to have to avoid switching to other apps:
- a simple markdown editor or something that can be used for writing documents and posts;
- SQL queries or something similarly simple, instead of the overly complicated Datalog;
- custom types for tables, like user lists in Notion or Airtable;
- internal scripts and templates, similar to Jinja.

Despite its issues, I love it. 5/5.

### 5/5 — 1-year

*2024-09-25, version 0.10.9*

Goldfish as me, cannot live without Logseq anymore. Now I can save my chaos and thoughts in Logseq, and take them back when the time comes, 100% like Pensieve lol.

Only one problem is that sync is not really stable of iCloud, so I just use it on mobile to avoid the error.

Thanks team for the great job.
