Last week all of the garbage cans in my Northern New Jersey neighborhood where emptied by bears except for mine because all of my food waste is processed by Lomi and none of it goes into the garbage can. Please make this app more relevant. ### 5/5 — Unexpected Changes *2024-04-24, version 2.7* Before this app has any real use, you have to purchase a LOMI BLOOM (which, I gladly did). That’s where things get interesting. I think the user interface is fantastic! I like seeing my impact articulated from the pounds of food I don’t put into the landfill but goes into the LOMI. I like being able to see the status of my LOMI in the app. I like the idea of accumulating points based on using the LOMI, that’s a very thoughtful incentive. Redeeming points to get supplies for your LOMI is great, but also allowing points to be used with partners that are conscious of there impact on the world, is a fantastic idea, too. Sometimes when you make a purchase, it provides unforeseen benefits that you don’t see on the radar. The LOMI likes a diverse diet of food scraps to make better pre-compost or LOMI Earth. Seeing this at work, I found myself wanting to diversify my diet and make healthier choices for myself and my family, and keeping this LOMI making happy plant food. You put good in and get good out, is seen with every LOMI bucket you empty that has a had a well balanced feed of scraps. I also didn’t know it would make me want to grow more of my own food, but I somehow feel compelled to do so. I feel a little guilty not doing so. Creating my own little self sustaining circle, in my back yard is a nice way to put things in perspective. Next, house plants. We find ourselves wanting to fill our house with them, and we’ve never been those people with green thumbs, but we find ourselves trying to use LOMI Earth, any place we can. Lastly, I pay more attention to nature around me. I look around at the plants on my property to see which ones could use some extra nourishment. I didn’t see that coming. I’m sure there is a domino effect that will create new uses I have yet to discover. This is some of the best trickle down effects from a product, I think I’ve ever seen. Certainly better than the treadmill gathering dust in my garage but that’s on me. No such feature is accessible!! ### 1/5 — Will not update app *2025-03-05, version 2.13.1* Completely useless because I can no longer access the app. No way to update it to make it compatible with the iPhone update. ### 1/5 — First-time app user: it's buggy *2024-01-14, version 2.3.0* Literally just downloaded the app but when I launch the app I'm greeted by a message: "A Lomi app update is here. Please visit the app store to update." There is nothing to update from the app store -- moreover it is a first time download so it should've pulled/downloaded the latest version. What a disappointment. ### 1/5 — Can’t use app *2023-07-04, version 1.0* Can’t use the app because it says I have wrong password. I request a password change link and it won’t let me enter any info. ### 1/5 — App is awful *2022-03-02, version 1.0* It’s a bunch of random information, nothing specific enough to make sense, no way to copy and paste your serial number into the app, makes you get under a 10 pound machine and type the numbers in one by one since it can’t be turned upside down. Should have more specific instructions on what to and not put inside it. A lookup tool for products. ### 2/5 — Not consistent *2025-10-20, version 3.1.2* Logs me out. Says can’t connect to my Lomi sometimes. And gives inaccurate timing on how much longer it will be to finish a cycle. It was stuck saying 9 hours left for hours when it was already finished. ### 2/5 — App is useless now if you use larger size font *2025-08-14, version 3.1.1* The app is only designed to use with regular font size. I have the font size enlarged. Because the app was not designed to accept larger font, the display is enlarged with parts of the screen missing because that part is “off screen”. I wrote to Lomi asking about this. The recommendation was to change the font size back to normal when using the app, but that is not acceptable. The app was useable but inconvenient until the latest update. It now has the option to pause a cycle BUT if you want to cancel the cycle, the button to cancel the cycle is off screen. Poor design of app. Lomi has been around for a few years so I would have expected this error in design to be corrected by now. Instead the app has gotten worse with the last update. In this day and age, apps shouldn’t have this problem (and most my apps don’t have a problem) Please fix this Lomi. ### 2/5 — Stuck waiting for an App update *2025-06-01, version 2.17.0* I haven’t been able to use the app for over six months. The Lumi app is telling me I need an app update, but even trying to remove the app and reinstall from the App Store on the latest release. I still get the message that I need an app update. ### 2/5 — Do NOT put Lomi dirt in your garden! *2024-08-28, version 2.11.0* I’ve had Lomi for over a year now, and I do still use it to cut down on smells and space in the trash but please do NOT put the dirt in your garden it will cause EVERYTHING to mold! I was so excited at first but this spring when I tried to mix in some Lomi dirt suddenly all of my plants had mold so bad it killed my daffodils and hyacinth, and I was barely able to save my roses (luckily they’re very resilient), so I stopped putting Lomi dirt in and my garden began to flourish. 2 days ago I decided to try again, after all I had a rough spring and maybe it wasn’t Loki’s fault but this morning 8/28/24 I come out to my garden to find everything covered in mold again! I have no choice but to conclude it is my Lomi dirt causing this mold and to stop using my Lomi dirt at all. I will continue to use my Lomi as a way to cut down on smells but the dirt will now be going directly into the garbage. ### 2/5 — Nags about Notifications *2024-05-30, version 2.9* The app nags me about having notifications turned off every time I open it.
