Similar to TikTok and a working great alternative. Once I’ve used it more I think it will allow me more flexibility. Neutral: censorship? Is there any? Does it or will it censor from any paid sources? Negative: search bar still trying to locate it, videos are still a little fuzzy in comparison to TikTok, topical searching to locate all similar videos would be nice to either a user a topic or similar users or topics. Pinterest comes to mind. I see this app as having a chance at a big market. Just needs some more tweets improvements users etc. Should they add some way to earn for being creators and influencers, could be a game changer for the app. Also could use a function to easily post on twitter IG Meta etc etc also would be nice for this app to port info from TikTok directly over if an account wishes to do so. Link them through post to repost transfers of past posts from accounts. ### 4/5 — Great app a few problems *2021-08-18, version 2.7.28* This app is okay but I have two problems with it the first one happened not to long ago I was just scrolling through videos like any other person but then I saw people having sex on camera and later on I saw girls vaginas and later on in the day I saw guys penis’s it was disgusting and I’m happy you changed that thank you on to my second reason today I was making a video trying to thank all the people that made my life amazing I put like seventy one photos then I went to songs and I accidentally put a song by Billie Eilish that I didn’t like very much but then when I tried to go back to choose a different song it made me restart my video I had to pick all my photos again please fix that thank you! **Developer response:** Hi there! if you experience any issue again, please contact us with more information and we will be happy to help! ### 4/5 — I love the app but *2021-03-01, version 2.7.2* I love the app in general and it’s really fun but I think there should be more controls because parents get overwhelmed by all the online dating I have the app and i keep getting comments like “call this number to be my sugar baby” and “I love you” and it’s really creepy I just think it should have some controls like how you can moderate the comment so people aren’t trying to sexually abuse you. I overall love the app and it was so fun until my mom read the comments and made me get rid of it. Hopefully you can do this. THIS APP IS MY LIFEEE I love making videos and watching videos! It has made me make a lot of friends and stuff like that! I think this app should be 13+ honestly, it ruined my childhood a bit, I’m only 10 and say that stuff. We hope that you will see an improvement in our feed in the future. ### 3/5 — Hmmmmm *2020-05-18, version 2.6.13* I love this app it is amazing for editing and making videos but it has a lot of toxic things on the for you page also whenever I try to search a song it always plays a different song than what I have chosen also they don’t let us pick what part of the song we want like if I wanted to do the renagades I would not have the right music for it also I think that whenever I report someone’s video that it should at lease do something because little kids also use the app and there are grown women twerking in front of the camera so I think that any type of videos like that should be taken seriously because nobody wants to see that ### 4/5 — 4 Stars *2020-04-29, version 2.6.13* Honestly this app is amazing, your able to add pictures and videos into one big video and choose any song you like. You can even put stickers and filters and type on it. The only problem I have with it is sometimes it’s very slow and it freezes and once that happens you have to close the app then you lose all your progress. And what slows it down really is tryna go back and edit all the pictures and videos to make it fit the screen. I wish that could be fixed but yes other then that? I love this app. It’s one of my go to apps🤍 ### 4/5 — it’s good but there’s some problems *2020-02-15, version 2.6.7* I love this app, it’s an amazing editing software, but it keeps freezing and kicks me off. It’s really getting on my nerves when I’m in the middle of something and it kicks me off, and on top of it, it deletes my draft. Another problem is that it doesn’t update music on time. There’s a song that I want to use on an edit called Void by Elita and after a month nothing has updated. This happens a lot. They update the popular stuff first and we have to wait months for the less popular songs to be on there. Other than it’s a great app, just some bugs. ### 3/5 — UGHHHHH *2019-06-16, version 2.4.20* This app is something else!! I love how it’s so easy to combine videos and pick a song, however it continuously SHUTS DOWN after you’ve spent FOREVER trying to make the perfect compilation of videos by tediously picking throughout your camera roll, and cropping, and organizing exactly how you want it. Just when you feel like it’s almost perfect and add some finishing last touches , the app GLITCHES AND FREEZES AND SHUTS DOWN, NOT SAVING ANY OF YOUR PREVIOUS PROGRESS FORCING YOU TO RESTART ALL OVER AGAIN. I am so tired and angry of this , it needs to be fixed. So many hours and excitement gone to waste because of that! Maybe also letting compilations be longer than 30 seconds, and allow us to choose which section of a song we want in our videos instead of a set 15 seconds of a random part of the song and you can’t make it play at a different time. But there are some things that maybe could be changed. The speed of how long the photos and videos go for; should be given more longer times so than when you add a lot of videos and photos you can see the photos and videos instead of seeing glimpses of them. It’s quite annoying for me when I make a really long Lomotif and I can’t have a good solid five seconds of a video. And I also do not like when u watch it and it speeds up randomly. Like keep it on the same pace! Also there should be a way to have the images and videos transition, other than it looking like your swiping photos after photos and videos after videos like when ur looking through your photo albums. My boyfriend and I are almost into our 5 months and it’s a tradition for us to do a slideshow for each other on our anniversary it makes us smile and I little bit more extra love and excitement into the video slideshow making it just would be so perfect! I’m giving it a 4 because I love the app but it would be a 5 if I can be able to use different slideshow effects in my video! If I end up seeing a update and it happens to be different slideshows! Just a few suggestions... *2019-05-13, version 2.4.17* I just want to start out with, I love this app. I highly recommend it, especially if you’re new to making edits like I was. I have only a few suggestions. For the actual editing, I would love to actually have proper transitions from one bit of media to the next. With the sharing aspect, maybe some ways to find people with content you are interested in without randomly searching usernames. I find this highly disappointing that people would ruin a app not meant for that and make it not a good place for children to be able to use the app and make slideshows! It’s not appropriate for there to be porn on the app. I had to delete an app i enjoyed because of it. At first it was fun but over time the porn and nudes kept popping up over and over which i find unacceptable. Please consider my review before downloading this app, knowing what may pop up on your screen. ### 1/5 — Don’t recommend buying this app!! *2020-07-22, version 2.6.16* Ok first of all this app is not for children there are so many young adults doing inappropriate things the only reason I keep this app is because I like to post Aesthetic vids?!! Not -unhappy customer ### 1/5 — This app closes me out of my project 😡😡😡🔥 *2020-04-27, version 2.6.13* I was on the app working on a project and right when I was two seconds done the app closes out on me and doesn’t let me get back to my recent project. That was very upsetting, maybe this app needs to be updated because closing out on a project I was so close to being done with is really frustrating. That project took me three hours to do and now I will have to find another app to finish it on because it had to close out on me. For anyone that gets this app and your projects are very important to you I recommend not to get it. I have the latest Iphone, so I can’t even blame it on my phone, that was just the app and who ever made this app needs to fix it. ### 1/5 — I do not recommend ! (Worth the read) *2019-06-05, version 2.4.19* Honestly don’t even download this. Countless times I’ve tried making a video and it’s froze up and lost all my progress. Another issue I’ve had is with sizing, the app let’s you pick the size of the video, like whether you want portrait or widescreens. On portrait it gives the option where you can take a sideways (widescreen picture) and zoom out and it will show the whole picture in the portrait slide show setting. There’s been several times i choose the sizing I wanted repeatedly and it would ignore my choice and choose the size by itself. I would have to get off the app and get back on it later when the sizing would finally work. Honestly if your needing the app to make a slideshow for someone’s birthday or for an anniversary on the day of or last minute then don’t choose this app because there’s been plenty times I couldn’t get the app to work in time for me to post a slideshow on someone’s birthday. 🤦🏻‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Very Inappropriate *2018-03-23, version 2.4.0* Well when I saw this app I thought I was gonna to be amazed about how you could put cool effects on it and stuff but I was wrong. This app is horrible and I will never get it again because people are very inappropriate with this app. I wish I never had it. Plus it does not have the special effects that I really wanted. Well there was no special effects at all. This is nothing that I read about in the description of the app. I deleted it immediately and I saw the thing people put on this app. I suggest you never get it no matter what update you get!! You do not want to see the stuff people put on there trust me if you are reading this please trust me because you’ll be mad about the stuff people post on there. ### 2/5 — Really Need to Update and take my suggestions to recommendation *2022-03-01, version 2.10.0* This app has so much potential but disappoints every time. This app really need to update and get to 2022 standards because I be making a video and it would stick then just close the app and I would have to start all over multiple times . Also, music they need to have a wide selection of songs only certain artist music you’ll get which shouldn’t be the case. Right now using it realize to trim a video before I could’ve yesterday I realized I cannot trim it , it’s just stuck . Using this app for many years till now because that’s what Im familiarized with ; which I am aware there are other better apps but I choose this 1 and it makes me regret all the time🤦🏽‍♀️ ### 2/5 — Glitching is aggravating on here *2019-07-03, version 2.4.22* The glitching is really bad and all your work you do is gone so if you have a lot of pictures and I mean a lot and your almost done it will freeze up but the music is still playing even if you turn of your phone and if will erase all your work and if you exit it out it will delete everything I had to restart 2 times and I’m so done with it they really need to update this app cause at first it’s all good and smooth rolling but when you do a lot of changes to your slide show it glitches and if you stay on the app when it glitches it will kick you out and erase all the work you did so you have the choice to restart or delete the app and ima delete the app if changes aren’t made because I am so tired of this glitching and if this app isn’t made for a lot of pictures then put a limit of how many pictures can we put in. I don't like the fact that the pictures have to be cropped before hand to make them align on the app. More importantly I was kicked off the app over 5 times after getting really close to finishing due to simply moving a video in the slideshow. I tried many times and each time the app froze, and closed then once reopening I had to restart and choose each photo again with no trace of the work I had just put in, once again bouncing around my camera roll to coordinate the different pictures and then crop it to fit the screen. Also when cropping each individual photo the music replayed that moment in the song repeatedly and even restarted the video from the beginning by the slightest wrong tap. I do not see myself using this app again due to how tedious & frustrating it has been on the first attempt to make one simple collage. Please fix these issues, TIA. **Developer response:** Hey! I loved using it to make my first video, but when I went to make another, I chose 3 videos, and one song. When I went to play it back to see how I was gonna edit it, I heard 3 songs play, one from the first video I made, and then 2 others that I was testing out. It sounded horrible and I closed out of the app and went back in to try again. The sounds were still playing over each other and I was very confused. Why is this? Is it because I’m not signed in? I’m using the app for videos, and not to post stuff on its website so please, if you took the time to read this over, could you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Obrigada! ### 3/5 — Glitch makes my video not get saved *2020-11-09, version 2.6.20* Lomotif is such an easy and fun app to use, but I can never finish my videos without having to redo them because the app freezes up and exits out of the edit. This has happened on several occasions and makes me upset because I take the time to edit these videos (hours) and they just disappear in thin air because your app is glitching. Please fix this it’s been going on for a few years now. I really love your app but it needs to be fixed ASAP! . . This new update isn’t it! You should’ve kept where u can pick how long you want the video to be and all the pictures/videos would automatically sync. Tbh that’s one of the only reasons I liked this app cuz it’s so much easier and takes less time to edit instead of individually doing it. If it wasn’t for Vinco Ventures literally nobody would heard of this app or even be using it. This comes down to the product itself, its trash if im being honest. If Vinco didn’t buyout Lomotif there will be absolutely no incentive to even use the app. If it wasn’t for Vinco, personally i would not use this app myself. Its hot garbage, not even close to be a TikTok competitor… hire better developers and fix the platform. You should stop calling yourself a “TikTok competitor” its not even close. I have connected with people around the world with one thing in common music! The app is straight forward and easy to use. They are a direct connection to American dance concerts, new artists and rising content stars. The channels needs a bit better organization but I am sure they will tackle it in the future. Over all really fun and engaging. I understand that new ways to support creators is also in the works kudos for that! I like that they have asked the creative community to help them design the applications future look. It’s a good app to use to save storage on your phone because instead of having 300 pictures you can have 150 videos! It’s so much fun to make and share the edits especially when you know what your doing. It takes practice at first but after a while you know what your doing and it’s super easy and simple. I love this app so much because you can make any edit you think of, there’s so many song choices and you can ever upload your slide show to other apps to share it on!
