LIVE WIND - REAL ANEMOMETERS (v1.8) The actual wind near each spot from real stations, updated every few minutes, each reading labelled with station, distance and age. 2.0.1: the live-vs-forecast graph now covers the whole day (5am-10pm, stretching to dawn/dusk) for every location. SESSIONS (2.0.1) Heart rate (average + max) imported from Apple Health. "On the water" now measures first run to last run, with the total in brackets. Workouts logged from a trip no longer duplicate - existing duplicates repair themselves. Storage: session tracks + photos now stored ~85% smaller; one-tap "Compact storage" (Settings > Diagnostics) shrinks your existing log on device and in iCloud. Sync you can trust: Settings shows the last iCloud upload/download, with any error spelled out. TRIPS & TRAVEL Trips to your own spots; the picker sorts best-for-the-day or nearest-you. Far from London the map opens on you and London alerts hush. NEW Travel mode (2.0.1): one switch turns LKSA into a record-and-display travel companion. Same offline-first architecture - no accounts, no logins, no ads. NEW - FORECAST ACCURACY (per spot) Every spot page now links to a Forecast Accuracy view backed by a verified history of what we forecast versus what actually blew. You get a headline "average error in knots", a warm/cold bias chip, a "kiteable calls right" hit-rate, a forecast-vs-actual scatter and an error-by-lead-time chart. History starts 27 Jul 2026 and sharpens as more days are checked. On Mac there's also a sidebar cockpit ranking every covered spot by accuracy, with sortable columns. NEW - WIND HISTORY ARCHIVE (per spot) A "Wind history" link on each spot opens the reanalysis wind archive: pick any past date within the spot's coverage and see that day's hourly wind + gusts as a chart, plus a per-hour direction table. NEW - SESSION INSIGHTS OVER TIME A new Insights button in the session log: season totals (sessions, hours on the water, distance, spots), records (top speed, best jump, windiest), sessions-per-month, a personal-best speed trend, a wind-strength breakdown annotated with your kite size, and your most-ridden spots. NEW - WIND ALERTS / NOTIFY-ME On any favourite spot, set "Alert me when wind reaches" 12 / 15 / 18 / 20 / 25 kt. A local, on-device heads-up fires when that spot's forecast reaches your threshold on a genuinely kiteable day - checked when you open the app or the forecast refreshes, daytime only, no notification permission needed. NEW - DUPLICATE-SESSION SOURCE PICKER When the same ride was imported twice (e.g. GPX + Apple Health), the session's Duplicates section now lists each copy with its source app (Woo, Surfr, Garmin, Apple Watch...), start time and distance, and lets you pick which one counts toward your stats. NEW - TABBED DAILY / WEEKEND FORECAST The top-of-map headline strip opens a single sheet with a segmented Daily | Weekend picker fixed above the scroll area, so you can flip between the two narratives at any time. The narrative that opens first tracks the editorial cadence: Daily (Sun 17:00 to Fri 13:00 UK time), Weekend (Fri 13:00 to Sun 17:00). Once Saturday's window is done (after 19:00), the weekend view rolls forward to Sunday only. Spot-name links inside the HTML page route to the native spot page. NEW - TIDE-ZONE DAY STRIP Spots with community-observed thresholds (Camber, Greatstone, more coming) render a pre-baked colour strip: grey early / late session, green kite window, amber "wing/foil" or red "no kiting" for high tide. Client rule paints kitable zones green whenever they overlap 10:00-19:00 UK time. NEW - RIDER-AWARE KITE-SIZE COPY Every piece of app text that mentions a kite size ("possible on 14m+", "EXCELLENT - 9m sweet spot") now substitutes the correct size for the rider profile you set in Settings - 50 / 80 / 100 kg preset or your own custom weight + per-band sizes. Live Activities that update themselves. Fewer surprises before you drive. NEW — HOURLY WIND-DIRECTION MAP Every spot page now shows a compact map with the coastline, a wind-direction arrow, the kt reading, and a scrub slider across the daylight hours. Drag the slider and everything moves in sync: the arrow rotates, the wind speed changes, the info panel updates (time, wind, direction, tide height and next tide), and the hourly strip below scrolls + highlights the matching hour. The info panel takes on the tide colour of the currently-viewed hour — green inside the good-tide window, orange near a caution tide, red near a HARD_NO band. NEW — OFF-SHORE-WIND FLAGGING When you scrub to an hour where the wind rotates off-shore for that spot, the info panel goes hatched red and a red "OFF SHORE WIND" pill appears top-right of the map. Safer to see it in the app than to notice at the beach. NEW — LIVE ACTIVITY SERVER PUSH Trip Live Activities now stay fresh on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island even when the app is quit. Every 30 minutes the LKSA server rebuilds each trip's tile from the current forecast and pushes only what's actually changed via APNs. Multi-device: an iPhone + iPad LA for the same trip both update. NEW — RIDER PROFILE ICLOUD SYNC Your custom weight and per-band kite sizes (Settings → Units + rider profile) now sync across every device on the same Apple ID. Set them once, they follow you. NEW — FORCE-UPGRADE SAFETY NET The app can now be nudged to update from the server if we ever need to (contract break, safety-critical bug). Dormant by default — the banner only lands when we explicitly set a minimum version.
